Re: Arena Tournament, Round 40: The Unstoppable Force vs. Jaras
I'm lookin' through the ToB now but I don't see anywhere that says I lose my stance if flat-footed. May want to have another Ref check on that.
If he did miss, you better believe I'm using Charging Minotaur

also, question, reading stance of clarity, would he not have had to see me before activating? since he never saw me, he should have never been able to activate it against me.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 40: The Unstoppable Force vs. Jaras
Well then, I'm going to see how this plays out. I will take more damage from the alchemist's fire on his next turn, so if I don't win right now, he wins.
Initiating Charging Minotaur and charge to S-13
[roll]1d20+6[roll]
Damage:(1d4+3)[6]Mavian pointed out that you don't deal normal damage while doing the Charging Minotaur strike.
Free Bull Rush Strength Check: (1d20+3)[22]
Damage if Bull Rush succeeds: (2d6+3)[7]
I also push you 5 ft for every 5 I beat your strength check.Last edited by SamTheCleric; 2008-05-03 at 03:53 PM.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 40: The Unstoppable Force vs. Jaras
Bah, screwed up the initial roll.
Slam attack, +2 for charge
(1d20+6)[21]
Ignore me. Mavian fixed my error with successful rules lawyering. Thank you Mavian!Last edited by SamTheCleric; 2008-05-03 at 03:59 PM.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 40: The Unstoppable Force vs. Jaras
Quick rules lawyering.
Charging minotaur strike allows you to deal damage with a bull rush. It does not allow you to both attack, and bull rush at the same time. So your turn is not legal as entered. You must choose one or the other.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 40: The Unstoppable Force vs. Jaras
Well, I said I was initiating the maneuver, so ignore the slam attack damage.
If I succeed on the bull rush, I deal the damage...
Oh, and the bull rush gets another +2 for charging, so that's a 24 strength check.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 40: The Unstoppable Force vs. Jaras
str check - (1d20+2)[21]
i will fall to -6 hp
you take (1d6)[2]
how is it handled with we are both at neg? do i get a chance to stabalize? and since humans heal naturally i would heal to 0 where i would win? since WF don't he won't ever heal w/o extra help, so i have all the time in the world. so if i stabalize, we would see who the sharks kill first? LOL

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 40: The Unstoppable Force vs. Jaras
Technically you get -4 to your roll for being small size... but doesn't matter.
That is a good question, we both are in the negs.
C'mon DR, don't fail me now!
Need ref review!

I THINK that as Jaras was droped 1st TUF wins, but I don't remember the precedents
PS: Also I am assuming that the 2nd alchemist fire damage occurs in Jaras turn."Please note, we have added a consequence for failure.Any contact with the chamber floor will result in an unsatisfactory mark on your official test record, followed by death. Good luck." Portal A. I.

Ref Bayar
Ok, dont understand a thing without round numbers, stats and the like.
things that I know:
Alchemists fire does damage on the round that it hit and on the target's next round (at the begining if it wasnt extinguished in the previos round)
If a player triggers a readied action or an AOO and that action/aoo kills him, his attack roll/damage/kill after the AOO/action is illegal since he already died.**** Photobucket ; RIP avatars

It's not on the target's next action.

High Ref KC
Alright, if stupnick was dropped to -1 by the charging minoutuar, then the next round never starts, SamtheCleric is the winner right there. By precedent, the only time there is a bleed-off (stabilization rolls) is when both players are put into negative HP by the same action (such as a character with 0hp attacking and someone else and bringing them to negatives)
If only one player is in negatives at any time, that player loses and the other wins.Sweet Cap. America Avi by KPenguin

I thought the only reason someone being unconscious ended the match was because it's assumed the other contestant will finish him off. If they're both unconsious, that can't happen. Whoever wakes up first would be the winner because they can then do the coup de grace. I've never seen a match where both contestants were between -10 and 0 though, so I don't know the precedent.<--- Avatar made by bayar
