Re: Warglory, Liberators
The engine makes a great deal of noise, including two sets of very loud grinding noise. First two of the smaller levers offer a lot of resistance and jump slightly against him such that he can't get them forward, feels like he's forcing gears and wearing the teeth down. Third small lever slides forward no problem, it only has two markings whereas the first two levers have 4. The pair of large levers have got little pullable levers on their handles, wonder what they do...
Slip's HMG fire tears into the attackers, driving the heart out of the assault at that point... still waiting on Stinky & FrenisLast edited by Shirocco; 2008-11-05 at 09:05 PM.

Doc Turtlemurdered
"No, how about this?"
The Doc pulled back the two big levers and pushed forwards all the small ones. Then he pushed the big ones forwards again, squeezing the little levers.

Re: Warglory, Liberators
((Dragging Tyr, Stinky, Slip... will Doc figure out the tank controls before mission end? ))
Doc inflicts damage on the gears and on everyone's eardrums with the first effort, his second idea has no grinding noise but lots of engine noise. Still no movement. Stinky sweeps fire over scattered men as he looks for better targets, killing two. Slip opens fire on the enemy tank crew and kills 3/6 of them, the remainder run to a building to take shelter (two more D3 shots on them and before you'll need new targets)
Tyr picks up another shell, different markings on this one. He loads it - here's hoping! "Gun ready!" Poet may bring the gun about on the halftracks and roll D3 to hit one.

Poetry
With a new shell loaded, Poetry lines up the closest halftrack and does his level best to kill it very dead.

Re: Warglory, Liberators
Slip pursues the dismounted tankers every step of the way with fire, but twi make it to safety. Slip turns his attention back to inflicting misery on the Red Berets.

Re: Warglory, Liberators
Slip is the first to see it. Great lumbering shapes beyond the barricade, hazy and vague to his eyes. After some moments Frenis and Stinky see it too. A great cheer goes up at the barricade as dvergr tanks rumble up to the barricade and lay fire on the Houten like angry gods of war. Thinking swiftly Slip rises in the hatch and waves his arms at them... it saves your lives. The dvergr tank gunners see him and you later learn they nearly did blow you to pieces, but they saw Slip at the last second. The other tank is ignored as it is billowing flames... though their sponsons cannot see over the barricade the heavy guns in their turrets can. Houten trucks and halftracks are rapidly reversing as the dvergr armour opens fire. Tyrson and Poet work together to do the same from your end, while Slip, Stinky and Frenis lay waste to the retreating red berets at the same time. Most of the berets are killed, some make it to the side buildings and hold out in there for a few minutes before incendiaries and teams of assault pioneers with flamethrowers clear them out.
Doc does finally work out the tank controls, and it's to great cheers from your company that you pull up at the barricade in the stolen tank. The Houten are beaten back, there is no further artillery fire from them for an hour or so as they withdraw deeper into the city... while you guys are the toast of the company!
Slip is offered a commision as a leftenant. At his insistance he can remain in charge of this platoon. It is at his advice who the new NCOs will be.
Doc is promoted to platoon stretcher bearer, now able to understudy the company medic in hopes of one day becomming one. Amoung his gear a foldout stretcher is added to his pack along with conventional smoke cans and clearence to use phosphor.
Naturally, you get first pick at looting. Most of you are too badly wounded for much of this but others in the company are happy to do it for you anyway - roll a D20 to see what you get. Once you've posted that roll here go to the new thread and choose your R&R - good game!Last edited by Shirocco; 2008-11-06 at 02:34 AM.
