Tomb of Horrors Group A (IC)

The creature lands, looks around, and spots you.

OOC: Ummm...as I said, combat wasn't over. It was going to come after you guys.

I'm in B2, the bottom left quadrant. With the 3 rounds, the 1st round was 27 from a CSW, the next 2 was 2 CLW's 23 total, so 50 from me. If one of those turns was me dimension dooring us to safety then subtract 12 from that.

Aduro

Aduro pauses while being healed, focusing the myriad dancing flames in his mind into one single perfect flame.

Hearing the wings, he says:
"I'm good. Run. Don't come back for me. If I survive, I'll meet you at the Inn we stayed at last night. If I don't make it there, I'm dead."

He mentally reaches out to the soul-stuff he has shaped on his brow, and with a thought dismantles it into pure soul-energy. He then stretches and molds it, setting it alight with the flame of his own soul, then settles it upon his shoulders. Outwardly, The floating blue lenses burst from his face into a chaotic cloud of rapidly moving motes of light, which then coalesces into a cloak-like sheet of flame hanging from his shoulders. He wraps it around himself like a blanket and turns to face his approaching foe.

I took a little dramatic license with the timing; technically the speech should have been last, but whatever.

I calculate 39+23+47 = 109 hitpoints. That means I'm full at 101.

Round 1:
Fire Lash and Weapon Afire, 1 move action each.
Round 2:
Meditate to gain Psionic Focus. Concentration - (1d20+19)[32] vs. DC 20
Round 3:
Rapid Meldshaping(full round action) to unshape Truthseeker Goggles and shape Mantle of Flame. Re-allocate 3 essentia (swift action) from Impulse Boots to Mantle of Flame.

Aduro is also in B2, in the SE corner.

EDIT: just as an FYI, the gargoyle-thing will now take 4d6 fire damage each time it hits Aduro

The first and last arrows again bounce off, but they sting the creature with lightning. It then flies to the side of Aduro, makes a wide sweeping motion with its claw, and misses Aduro completely.

Upon the creature landing, it becomes a bit darker. The entrance to the Tomb has closed. Then, two dull, human-shaped, lights begin to shine.

"Crap, the door closed! Take the ladder and climb down into the pit! Maybe it won't be able to reach you without impaling itself on the spikes! What the heck are those lights???"

The strain of the situation is obviously having a deleterious effect on Aduro's peace of mind, as is evidenced by the strain in his voice.

Damn it, if I move, they'll be slaughtered like I almost was. This is what happened before! Well, at least time it'll be mutual destruction.

He cautiously sends his rope-like stream of fire snapping at the beast's stony face.

The creature forces Aduro into the pit and the spikes pierce Aduro's body. The poison flows into him, but he endures. Now the problem is, how is he going to get out of here?

The lights have died out and you see what they really are. The one near the entrance is a Green-skinned individual with two swords, one short and one long. The other is an elf with a crossbow.

Both strike the creature with their weapons, and their blows put the exhausted creature out of its misery.

The corpse now lies near the entrance of the tomb, with its necklace of diamonds still around its neck.
