Alexis walks cautiously over to the statue, out of the way of other potential incomers, and proceeds to examine it, searching for traps and noting anything that catches his eye.
Please roll a seach at +23. Alexis grows tired of taking 10.

You didn't notice it before, but there is a narrow passage leading out of this area.

Both of you spot the statue's broken-off fourth arm in the corner.

There is a concavity in the palm of each of the three still-attached hands. The concavities are each about 1 inch in diameter, but are empty. The broken hand possesses no such concavity.

"Thanks for coming after me Bok, I will do my best to rescue you as well if I see you in trouble. Want to take a careful peek out of this room and see where we are?" Alexis points to the passage.

Alexis turns back to the statue to see if there would be any way to reattach the fourth arm. He feels inside the concavities for hidden buttons or switches, and gives each of the remaining arms a tug.

The fourth arm doesn't reattach for some reason. It doesn't even look like it was ever truly attached in the first place.

The slots in the hands are empty, no switches, no buttons. It looks like something goes in them, however.

Bok grins and heads to the narrow passage. Bok sneaks through the passage keeping his eyes peeled for traps and monsters. When he reaches the end of the passage, he takes a quick look around and heads back to Alexis to report his findings

The passage is short, only about twenty feet long. When you reach the end, you see the passage intersects another corridor. It has similar dimensions to the one you entered the dungeon through.
The corridor extends out to the right. Staring down the passage, you see two doors on your right. You return to Alexis to return the news.

Jayln

Walking down towards where his companions dissappeared, Well it seems we have a decision to make. We can head in after them, assuming they are still in tact. or we have the option to think the worst and turn back or find some where else to go. I assume that Alexis would know better and would have obviously checked out it for safety, but is that something Alexis didn't expect and check for. What do you all think about this predicament we are in?

Irazeg stomps away from the mother after giving her his opinion on parenting, and descends into the dungeon and stays about ten feet behind the goings on and begins to whistle something that sounds an awful lot like Primus.

After listening to what Bok tells him, Alexis replies "good job Bok! What do you make of this here? It looks like something can fit in these hands. Any idea what?" Alexis studies the holes to see if they would be likely to fit coins, gems, flasks, or other simple items. He also casts around the room to look for rocks or other pieces that might fit.

"Maybe he wants his arm back." Bok picks up the fourth arm and attempts to set it in each of the three hands hoping nothing actually happens.

Hrm, seems like you are having the same questions I am. I am unsure of what to do, but we didn't become adventurers by sitting there and doing nothing. And with that said, Jayln steps towards and through the archway.

You are in a 10 wide and 20 foot long unlit chamber. It is small and feels cramped.

A broken, 8-foot-tall statue of a four-armed gargoyle squats here, alone and in the dark. Its three remaining hands appear as if in positions of supplication, or need. Alexis is carefully examining the statue while Bok watches, bored.

There is a narrow passage leading out of this chamber just past the statue.

(OOC) Assuming Jalyn is with us now...
"Oh, hello! We are stumped as to the purpose of this statue here. There are holes in the hands that seem significant. See if you can figure anything out. When the others finally decide to come through, let them know I am ahead with Bok looking for traps." Turning to Bok, he says "Lets go explore some more Bok!" With that, Alexis proceeds down the narrow passageway and carefully enters the next room. He then takes a first hand look at his surroundings.

You exit the passage and enter the side of a new corridor. To your right you see two doors attached to the southern wall. The first door is five feet away from the passage, the next door is about 25 feet away. The corridor is bounded twenty feet to your north, five feet to you west, and extends out to your east.

You examine the statue and see the slots in each of the three arms. They're about an inch in size. You see the fourth arm where Bok and Alexis left it. You don't discover any other information about the statue.

"I agree Bok, she does seem to nag a lot. I think she likes both of us though, so we should be nice to her. Stay behind me, I don't want you to fall in a hole. If anything attacks us, show me how powerful you are." Alexis scans the path ahead for traps, and begins moving to the east.

Search: take 10 (33) searching for traps along South wall, first the square to the West, then headed East. Search floor, then wall, and only the squares closest to the wall. Continue until we reach the end of the corridor or something else happens. Take note of surroundings as well.

You see nothing on the floor, but the hinges of the two doors seem awfully thick. They're most likely the triggers to a trap.

The floor of this long, wide hall is inlaid with tiles, and the walls and ceiling are painted with figures of animals and strange signs and glyphs. Humans and humanlike creatures hold painted spheres, each a different color from the next.

"Don't open these doors yet Bok, it looks like they have traps." Alexis continues searching for traps on the south wall and floor of the passageway, and moves further east. As he moves with Bok, Alexis looks at all of the different pictures and the colored spheres, and tries to get a feel for the layout of the corridor.
