Okay, I'm going to assume you can see me. I'm not making any effort to hide or anything. Also, I have a suspicion about something, so here's the first part of my turn.

Move from G14 to H14 to H13 to G13 then back to H14.

well your in a fog cloud. so i can't... any one that is farther than 5ft from it, there is total concealment as long as your in it. once you step out, and you are w/in 5 ft of it, you only have 20% concealment.

i think that is the way the spell reads, correct me if i am wrong.
but where you are at, unless i am next to your position, i can't see/target you : )

It was my understanding that when you're in the cloud, or outside looking in, you can see where people are, just not well enough to hit them reliably. I know that my LOS in my last match was established while I was inside a cloud, as well.

At any rate, I have 10 feet of movement left, so I'm going to take 5 feet of it to move outside the cloud to I14. I'll take the rest of my movement and action after I see what I see.

A bank of fog billows out from the point you designate. The fog obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet. A creature within 5 feet has concealment (attacks have a 20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance, and the attacker can’t use sight to locate the target).

Since it grants you concealment, you can make hide checks inside the smoke. The trickier part is the last sentence, "the attacker can't use sight to locate the target".

If you are more than 5' away from each other... you have total concealment, which means...

Total Concealment
If you have line of effect to a target but not line of sight he is considered to have total concealment from you. You can’t attack an opponent that has total concealment, though you can attack into a square that you think he occupies. A successful attack into a square occupied by an enemy with total concealment has a 50% miss chance

You can't sneak attack more than 30 feet away (which the smoke is), and you can't sneak attack someone that has ANY form of concealment. If he steps out of the smoke, you aren't hidden vs him, so you wouldnt get your sneak attack for being hidden, as there is no cover or concealment to hide in.

When he moves to H14 he loses total concealment and drops to only Concealment. That was your trigger for your readied action, so you may take it now if you choose, if not... please let me know so I can describe line of sight for his move to I14. Q12 to H14 is 45 feet which is 4 full range increments, -8 to attack and no sneak attack because of distance.

correct about the 30ft sneak attack thing, i completely forgot that. but, it is not 4 range increments, i have farshot which makes my range 20ft.. so it's 20/40/60/80/100... so it's only -4

so my attack roll
ranged touch - (1d20+3)[11]
concealment - (1d100)[4] 1-20 misses.
(1d6)[4]
miss - (1d8)[1] with north being 1, and moving it's way around
squares away - (1d6)[3] 1 meaning he still takes 1 splash damage

this is the alchemist fire flask
and i don't believe i am allowed to snipe as a readied action, but if i him my hide roll (1d20-7)[2]
