His partner appears beside him. "Don't worry! I have this!"

He raises his gauntlet, speaks some magic words.

Nothing happens.

"I hate not having in-class Use Magic Device." He sighs.

I still can't see them, right? I can only see 6 squares ahead? I'll ready 'Rainbow Beam' for the first legionnaire I'll see. Hopefully the one already wounded.

I don't have the stats for the spell with me, so I'll roll for damage when I gt home. Sorry!

Yep, you still can't see them properly, but it won't matter soon.

Karin reaches into a compartment and takes out a loaded heavy crossbow, which she fires at the lead guard. The bolt drives past his plate and into his chest. With a cry of "I'm going to be demoted for this!" he sinks into the puddle of ectoplasmic goop he was trapped in.

The other one drops his spear, raises his arms and moves closer. "Okay, you're frickin' scary! I give up. Besides if you waste any more resources the Prince would lose challenge ratings to accommodate...and that might piss him off..."
