"If I told you directly, it'd just confuse you if you didn't have the right story put together. Humor me - who do YOU think has it?" Sho asks.

Re: The Chaos of Cannith [3.5]
Konnor
Konnor thinks on that a minute, then starts thinking out loud. "Well, It's not the Church of the Silver Flame, if you're trying to keep them away from it. I guess I would rule out other religious organizations as well. It's probably not the government of Breland, because they were the intended recipients in the first place. It's probably not any of the other governments, either, come to think of it - they would have had to come into very close contact with Cannith for some time to even learn of the weapon, and I think..." He catches himself. "... someone would have noticed that. Hmm. Really, that leaves the major houses, and the most likely suspect is House Lyrandar - they already knew about the project, they had a problem with something Cannith was doing, and they had the means to move whatever the weapon is very quickly and securely - and they contacted you. Is that it? Did Lyrandar hire the Tyrants to nab the weapon and deliver it to them?"

Re: The Chaos of Cannith [3.5]
Sho smiles.
SpoilerSense Motive
"You're getting the picture now, gobbo and friend." He says, arrogant despite his current predicament.
Sho then comments, "The term 'weapon' is a bit misleading. It's an upgrade to an already existing weapon, combined with other Breland-high-security secret weapons that are accompanying it. I'll even give you a hint - it's on board an airship."
SpoilerYou can all gain a level now, just btw. It's been awhile, and I feel I haven't been running this all that smoothly lately. Plus this is a rather important event.Last edited by Iron Mongler; 2008-09-16 at 04:41 PM.

Re: The Chaos of Cannith [3.5]
SpoilerTo be honest I thought the game had folded...
Marsh remains quiet, processing all the info. She would have liked to control the guy's mind and get him to spill more, but for now she wanted that sort of power to keep quiet.

My level was so lame...I confused it with 4e and thought "WOOT! A power!" and realized this was 3.5 so all I got was Silent Spell and skill points .Last edited by Meek; 2008-09-16 at 07:44 PM.

Re: The Chaos of Cannith [3.5]
Sho is hiding something with his comment about Lyrandar. He seems too eager to let that piece of information to go, almost as if he WANTS you to think Lyrandar is behind the theft.

"We're way ahead of you on that one - but would you mind filling us in on just what, precisely, the upgrade or modification is."
Konnor pauses for a moment. "And on who *else* might be involved, since I think you're still leaving something out."

Re: The Chaos of Cannith [3.5]
Konnor
"I see." Konnor frowns and gives Sho the harshest glare he can manage. "So, essentially, you haven't told us anything. Well, that puts us in an interesting situation, now doesn't it? I can't let you go back to the Tyrants - They'll just send you after us again, and we'll end up with our throats cut one night. I can't turn you in to the city guard - they're on your payroll. We can't carry you around with us, because that would attract too much attention. It seems to me that the most expedient way of ensuring that you don't cause any trouble for us again is to just toss you over the edge of the walk in a back alley somewhere and let you disappear into the depths of Sharn, to begin a new career as a stain on the pavement. But you're the expert at this, Sho - is there something you'd like to add?" Konnor's final words are mocking.
OOC:
SpoilerKonnor is bluffing as he would never kill an unarmed prisoner - even one as detestable as Sho.

Re: The Chaos of Cannith [3.5]
"That's a brilliant proposition," Marsh says, sarcastically, "As if we can just walk up to him on the street and ask him."
I'm this close to screwing my own secrecy and going for a charm spell.

Re: The Chaos of Cannith [3.5]
SpoilerI don't think this is in general going to go anywhere. For one thing, I've moved to Myth-Weavers. Secondly, this is slow as molasses. I enjoyed it while it lasted and would like to try converting it to 4e in the future, but this really has grinded to too much of a halt. Sorry guys. :(
