Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
Not that anyone cares, but I thought it was worth a mention when I read Verra's comic mentioning trekies.I had to say, dispite my current attire and claimed race, believe what you wish, bit I am certainly NOT a trekie.
Ad least, I do not think I am. I know quite a few people (my brother and my late father being like this) who would kill anyone who says the name of the show in vain. People who believe that Star Trek is the Alpha and Omega of the world. I even know a few people who think Star Trek might've actually happened, believe it or not. I have personally met people who would dump their girlfriends (if ever lucky enough to get ad least one) over an arguement about how many episodes there were or how the teleporter system megiger thingy worked.
I have seen true dedication to the series, and I have to saftly say that I am not a trekie like these people. I do not even like all of Star Trek (I hated all of the shows except for a few of the episodes from Next Generation I though were rather brilliantly written, with philosophy that is quite intriguing and ahead of it's time.)
I have seen true trekieship. I have seen the heart and soul of the trekie. I have seen the face of all nerdness in it's true form. I do not belong to this other race of people who worship the Star Trek way of life.
Just thought I should say that so people don't get confused by my avatar and character I portray in Avatar Battle Royale and my own series of online forum-based comics. Also because I'm really insecure, as you can plainly see by the paragraphs above, and my feelings were hurt when I read the "protection from nerds" comic.Last edited by Green-Shirt Q; 2008-07-01 at 08:13 PM.

They've changed a lot since the last time I played; don't think that I would start playing again for any reason (even if there's cake). quit about 3 years ago

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
I always used Trekkie as a synonym for Star Trek fan. Don't read any more into it than that. Sorry.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
I actually thought that what it was called when I first started playing it 6 years ago.... My first MMO... ahhh the days...
You can play it full screen now, but that's only for members.
I don't see the big deal about Star Tek... It's really not that good... Never was and never will be...Last edited by Nameless; 2008-07-02 at 04:03 AM.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread- Part VI
Minoblendy's Extradimensional Wardrobe is something Lying made during his Academy days, because as a generalist spellcaster he had a lot of different uniforms throughout the schoolday.
It's basically an pocket space on the Astral Plane that manifests as a (nigh) endless corridor lined on both sides by outfits he's made over the centuries.
The outfit Ins wears was found in there, a gift from one of his daughters a while back, as was the traitor outfit he initially wore in Tajira. There's quite a few pieces of magical clothing in there too, so it's fortunate that Ins doesn't have a Spellcraft or Knowledge (arcana) check worth heck.
And yes, Lying knows how to sew and tailor. Deal with it
