Re: The First Warforged (IC)
Paaras
Paaras sits thoughtfully while Jaret speaks, but his interest looks piqued by the library.
"Sir d'Cannith, I realize this will be our job to figure out, but I wonder; do you know what kind of lore we can expect to find other than that on the warforged?"Gnoll Paladin with Zanbatou Avatar by Oregano.

Keraeni
The young Elf asks, "Are we likely to meet much opposition on the way- from local creatures, for example?"BImportant note: I'll be away from the Internet for two weeks. Apologies to anyone this causes a problem for.
Thanks to xiolin_monk (AKA Maestro) for the Wolf Priest avvy.

Argus d'Orien
Argus nods to Keraeni's question.
"Yeah, you didn't anger any of the drow tribes on your first expedition, did you? Or are there any tribes in that general area that we might have to keep an eye out for? Aside from that, are there any natural hazards? Quicksand, rivers, anything that requires us to do more than walk we'd better be prepared for."Currently DMingSpoilerEberron: The Secrets of War

Re: The First Warforged (IC)
Ania d'Velderan
"Will we have the budget and permits to bring back actual records or artifacts we may find, or do we need to make copies of anything we come across in lieu of returning the originals for study?"
Keth is blessedly quiescent and invisible in the meeting, and Ania is able to concentrate fully on comporting herself with the solemnity befitting a scholar of Morgrave. While the others speak, she frequently glances toward Zuberi, eyeing his clothes and gear.

Re: The First Warforged (IC)
Jaret d'Cannith looks at Paaras. "What lore have the Giants accumulated? Expect to find a bit of everything: Tablets on Giant history, elven history, Giant fashion, Giant magic; if you can name it, it is likely that zi Kel will have it—it's just not far enough away to catch the interest of most expeditions."
Jaret d'Cannith reaches into his shirt and pulls out a sealed document, brandishing it into the air. "This document, is a Letter of Marque. As long as it's cleared with me, anything you find can be returned with us to Breland; this naturally includes any tomes or artifacts that we deem are necessary to bring with us when we depart.
"On the subject of native creatures, yes. We are very likely to encounter them, but I suggest you talk to Phar'yn and Baldron on that subject."
He turns to Baldron, waiting expectantly.

Ania d'Velderan
"Are we likely to encounter drow?" Ania asks Baldron. "Or will wildlife be the main danger?"

Re: The First Warforged (IC)
Baldron shrugs self consciously and shifts in his chair. "The truth is, it is exceedingly unlikely that we'll encounter hostile drow. I don't know the area too well, but I would say that wildlife and library guardians would be the main concerns; and I'm not completely certain that there will be any guardians, but better safe than sorry, eh?" He chuckles at his little "witticism." "We'll essentially be playing this completely by ear, so expect the unexpected—but not drow." He looks sidelong at Jaret d'Cannith and the others. "Anything else anyone wants to talk about, or can we hit the town?"
((OOC: More will be coming later, but I'm still alive as well.))
