    Default The Divine World

Creation was blackness and then They were. -The First Words of the Book of Universal History

There was a sudden, instant burst of light that then grew and formed into an orb of fire, the heart of a bright, nuclear furnace that shone through the darkness of Creation. Thus was Lord Sun born. And Lord Sun raised up his might and created for himself a legion of fiery servitors, given might over fire as well as wisdom and an eternal life. Thus were the Efreet created.

Reality shivered for a bit as the brightest light of the sungod shined on the pure black of the nothingness that was. A figure stepped out of this contrast. Two different eyes, hair that's both black and golden and one hand made of metal. The figure smiled, but it's expression soon changed in an angry grimace. He wove his hands, and beneath him, in contrast with the empty air, a large mass of land appeared. A flat earth.

For the first moments of reality, His-Wisdom-Encompasses-All-Things pondered his options. A moment passed, and idea became form. The flat land became a disc, and it's surface was one of mountains, plains, forests and oceans.

At first, the land was lifeless. Then a mountain rose up and took form. First a thick neck, then four powerful legs. Finally, a long, spiny tail. The Walking Mountain had been born.

    His-Wisdom-Encompasses-All-Things smiled, and was pleased.

"You are my first. My Will Be Your Will."

And from the blackness, just out of reach of the new light, emerged a luxurious yellow outfit. Not a robe, mind you, but a very comfortable and expensive-looking suit, that might be worn by a wealthy artist, or someone in a similar position.

Wait. What was wealth? More importantly, what was an artist?

Oh, right. Those hadn't been made yet.

Inside that brilliant yellow suit was a handsome man (if he could be called a "man", exactly). He gazed upon the labors of the others, and smiled. Much like himself, these other deities were artists. Ameteurs, perhaps, but skilled amerteurs.

Artefaxe (for he named himself that) turned to the space that still existed. From the nothingness he carved a silvery orb, perfect in shape. Content with the beauty of his creation, Artefaxe left the ball alone, its surface reflecting a portion of light from Lord Sun.

A disc? No, no, no that will never do. A relatively short figure in the desert exclaimed. It must be even more round than this, and its far too simple!!! Placing his hands on the ground, the world is flooded with arcane energy. on the bottom, in the center of the disc, forms a ball of fire, similar yet immensely smaller than the sun, the gravity within it so great, that it wraps the disc of earth around itself and begins to turn. Too simple! This area, too dry...This one, too wet!...this one, too symmetrical! *pant pant* Water! I need water! All over the planet, massive chunks of ground fly into the air. From them flows immense amounts of water, filling the gaps they leave behind. The white-coated god runs to the edge of one of these massive oceans and begins drinking the water.

    Vraikul

In the darkness beyond the world, there is a presence, a presence that seems both ancient and as a newborn at the same time. Knowledge of things that should not be voiced seem to ooze out of its very beings. It seems to have no form, and yet, a thousand eyes stare out of the void onto the burgeoning world. It feels that something is needed on this world. A thought comes to him from the corners of his mind, a memory, an echo, of things yet to be... or things that have happened oh so long ago? ...in the cold dark north, evil drifts south... On the top half of the world, great clouds appear, which obscure the sun from sight, and a great darkness descends on the North, and with the darkness comes cold, a deathly cold. Into this cold are born creatures, terrible creatures, with long bony arms, and bloated bodies, as well as dozens of eyes, and antennae on the front of their bodies. They have 2 mouths, one above their eyes and one below, they had 4 legs each, two are jointed forward, and two back. To these terrible creatures he gifted a name. "Xama" he would call them, and Xama they would be. These creatures had black, slimey skin and their bony arms ended in bony hands, adept at handling tools. Vraikul looked on his creations and felt... nothing, he saw only their usefulness to him. He sent some forth to discover the world and the creatures in it, and the rest he sent into the crags of the earth. Vraikul looked all about this planet for a place of darkness, and finally found one. Vraikul seemed to scuttle, though he didn't appear to have legs, and he scuttled deep into the world, until he lay in the cool, dark, center of the world. He turned his thousands of eyes outward, and began to learn of this world he would call his home.

From the light of the Sun, Stellerex was created. Lord Sun gave birth to more than just Efreet. Stellerex motioned his hands around himself, feeling the energy crackling around him and coursing through his veins. Not knowing what was happening, Stellerex walked among the Efreet, speaking with them, and hoping to make friends with his brothers. Wherever Stellerex walked, he was brighter than the Efreet.

Yet he desired to be with his brethren. "Father, may I be with them, so that I may not be lonely?" For a while Stellerex thought to perhaps be of provision and friendship to the fiery ones, in the hope that he may be with those he loved forever.

    Strex

Huge amounts of arcane power flow through and exit Strex as he begins his work. Damn, I have to use more, MORE!Taking bits of earth, he mixes them with water and energy and throws them into the air. The ball crashes on a nearby beach and from it step wolves, however not normal ones. These wolves stand on two legs and have a physique close to that of a human and possess a moderate amount of inate arcane ability. These same orbs crash elsewhere on the planet, more groups of these Spellwolves come from the craters. Their fur color and rune pattern being different for each location. I...I should be able to stop it now...GRAAAAAAHHH!!!!Huge wounds gape open on Strex's right arm as the power flowing out of him concentrates in his right arm. Rune-laden bandages appear from his robe and wrap around his arm, sealing roughly haf of the power within it. *pant pant* Seems I let too much build up. ... Well, I cant move it but at least I wont have a disaster like last time. He eyes the Spellwolves that landed on the beach near him as they begin to wake up.

A lone figure stands on a newly created hill. He kneels down and puts a little seeds in the dirt. He stands with the wind blowning at his cloak, already a little worn down and covered in dust over the black. He waits for now, a little faded and waits for his purpose to start.

Lord Sun's voice is dismissive, distant, he is already brewing new plans, observing his servants as they create his world, "Of course you can," he says. The Efreet are far less welcoming then Stellerex would have hoped, no matter how much he tries to help they always take from him and do not give. They call him weak, in spite of the fact that he could crush them all between his fingers without breaking much more then a sweat. As Lord Sun feels the darkness and frost of some blasphemous creature crawling into his world, he becomes distressed. How could something reject his light, he is invincible, his light unstoppable. He resolves that it does not exist, and continues in making great plans.

Vraiku vaguelyl feels the passing attentions of the sun god like an itching in the back of his mind, and hisses as it passes. Though Vraikul sees the value of the gods willfull ignorance, he feels something akin to disgust, if he could feel such things. Vraikul turns from the ignorant god of the sun, toward the god and his wolves, as Xama greet them. They speak in their gibbering language, conveying greetings and a thirst for knowledge.

Stellerex decided he would make a species of his own. Mixing his powers over fertility and the light, he nurtured the ground with great magic. Creating the BronzeMen. The BronzeMen, non-human, but nevertheless called Men, they possessed what would become the traits of advanced wisdom, over strength. The Men of Bronze would tend to be attracted to no moral inclination over any other.

Bronzemen were to be as humans, conspiciously weaker than the average man, yet possessing an intelligence that surpassed that of hominids. Bronzemen healers nursed sick and hurt animals. There would be the begining of shamanistic practicers, blessing the soil for harvests. Stellerex immediately began telling these men of Bronze how to nurse the soil, and to give life to the soil, so that they may in turn reap food enough from the land that they could be said to be figuratively farming for more of their own people as much as they were harvesting the crop.

Dietary laws were set, the Bronzemen were taught what foods were safe to eat, and what foods were able to be domesticated. Bronzemen received, etched in enchanted, indestructibable parchment, the laws that they were to adhere.

They were not to castrate an animal. They were not to slay eachother. They were not to look to eachother in jealousy. They were to respect those who gave them life. They were to never to steal eachother's belongings, ecspecially their crops. Those who married were to raise children if they had the option. The exalted Laws were called thus, "One is to never lead another astray through deception." and "One is to love and to respect those who possess souls; those who possess sentience, and those who honor the ones who follow this Law."

The Xama shelter their bulbous forms as the wrenches fall from the sky, gibbering in their odd language and looking alarmed. When they stop falling one of them reaches over and picks it up, and they all gather, gibbering and touching it, and touching their antennae together, then they turn to the Spellwolves and start gibbering at them, though their words are unintelligible to the wolves, there is no obvious threat to their motions or their speaking, and they gesture at the wrench constantly.

The Xama gibber excitedly for a few moments before speaking in the new language, greeting the spellwolves and asking who they were. One of the Xama left, and when he was far enough a way, he created a crude shrine to Vraikul, and set about giving the knowledge he had gained to Vraikul. Vraikul gifted the Xama who had left with a book, which was constantly cold, and covered in frost. The book was made out of what appeared to be the tanned hide of a Xama, though the Xama didn't seem to mind, and Vraikul removed one of his eyes and placed it in the cover of the book, so he could always see to the activities of his servants. He told the Xama that whatever he wrote in the book would become the knowledge of Vraikul, and so the Xama did, and he returned to the group. In the darkness of the worlds center, Vraikuls eye grew back and he waited patiently.

Among the spellwolves, they all begin passing around the wrenches, becoming intelligent when they grasp it. All seems happy excluding one who hasnt yet touched a wrench lashing out a young pup. Cowering in fear, the pup waves his arm blindly at his attacker before BAM! a ray of fires from the youngling's fingertips and drops the adult. The angry spellwolf now lying on the beach, the sand beneath him stained red.

Ja'kay stood in total darkness for a moment before summoning a tiny light from nowhere. He floated in seemingly nothing. This is where he did his crafting, his shaping. He stood there for a moment before starting shaping vigoriously. He took a great handful of flesh, and made it into a body. he started with the spine, a great U-shaped bone, and then added four legs at the base of the spine. He stood back, looking at his creation, and then stepped foreward again to the top of the spine. He grabbed it, and split it into two hands to which effect and colonize his world. He then added flesh, giving the creature tough scales, and filling in the center of the spine with organs and brains. The creature would lay eggs in meat, and they would hatch in days. It would learn to hunt, learn to live in his world.

It would, most importantly, learn to worship him, the all important one.

He set forth his creation into his world, and let it live. He then realized that if he wanted his creation, the Son of Ja'kay, to not only live, but thrive, he needed much more than he had.

He summoned a great sphere of water, and set Enon on it, resting and floating across its surface. He made other large bodies of land to float aimlessly across until his Sons tamed it.

He felt something new. Time. It gave structure and order to his actions, but limited him at the same time.

As he made this, he began to feel something that he had never felt before. It seemed like energy was coming from... elsewhere. Great pulses of magic. He had always been alone. He left his world, E'ith to search for these new precences.

Stellerex began to create the Bronze Men's own lands, and slowly, the Bronzemen emigrated to that place. The land was as if made by the greatest artist. Tropical lands to the western tips and frontiers, loess came from the mountains in lush, river valleys. Wide, rolling plains with temperate forests. were in the south, while to the east were three large islands with moderately temperatured winters and summers.

Some Bronzemen settled in each area. In fact, the Bronzemen were still united through the Parchments, and each tribe took their own set of the Law that Stellerex made for them. As long as the Bronzemen would abide by those laws, they would be blessed with life given through the sun, long life, and abundant harvest.

A cloaked figure steps out of air as if he was always there but wasn't right before that. He takes a long stick off his shoulder and twists it alittle, a long curved blade shots out. He swings at the spellwolf's body and something comes away with it. A faint ghostly image of the spellwolf can be seen of the scythe's blue and purpleis blade for a moment and dissapress. The figure now seems more there.

He found a new world, much like his own. Another god had made it. He took the favorite of his creations, his sons, the some bloodwolves, and his blackwings, and set them free on this new world. They needed a caretaker while he was off doing other matters, so he made a Beastmaster there to watch over them.

The Xama which had the book saw all these things, and he opened the book, though he had no way to write in it, he knew instinctively that if he desired it, it would be written in, and so it was, and Vraikuls eye looked onward, he saw death come to the lands. He looked on dispassionately, cataloguing it as he did everything else that came to his attentions, and knowing that with this knowledge, he would become greater, somehow.

Coming down to this new world, Deneral saw a world rife with possibilities and potential. He could forge a people in his own image and make his mark upon this world.

Reaching down to this orb he takes part of the land created(by nigma) and brings forth a peninsula from the southern coast. He dots the new landmass with mountains and spots of forests so that his future creations will have resources in which to build their Empire.

Looking over his new creation he smiles, it is rich in resources, close to the water and easily defendable being that it is a peninsula. Now it was time to create a people in his own image...

(Slight awkward posting there on my part. I'm just gonna try to continue this with as much logic as possible.)

Ja'kay heard the voice in his mind, an responed.

"I know who you are. I know not what you are. What you want. What you do. Is that not what an identity is?"

He replied as he shaped the silver. He made mountains, rditches, valleys, plains, and holes. He then created a creature for it. He made the creature small and stupid, but able to thrive on only the aundant sunlight. They were small, white spheres that floated across the ground. They were capible of psychic powers, and reproduced through dividing, for they grew with each bit of light they absorbed.

    Default Re: The Divine World

    Artefaxe
Done carving the moon, Artefaxe descended upon the new planet below him. He was somewhat curious as to exactly what his fellow divine artisans were creating. He was intrigued to see creature wrought of the other deitie's hands.

"Hey, that's pretty interesting. A new form of...art. Hmm...I'll need to get involved in that." he mused, to no one in particular. Artefaxe searched, and found what he was looking for: stone. The massive quantities of stone became as marble, and from the marble Artefaxe did carve the Erus.

With skin as smooth and pale as the marble they were carved from, the two members of this newest of races lay upon the earth, a man and a woman. Intelligent and physically pleasing, they would be the favored race of Artefaxe. After all, does an artist not think his own work the most beautiful?

"You, arise." he commanded, and the Erus obeyed. "You will be my favored creation, above all others I make. You shall obey my commandments, hopefully, for I grant you the choice to shape your own decisions and lives.

"I was never one for speeches. Oh, that reminds me! You guys can't speak yet! I'll have to fix that."
Artefax concluded with a grin. He reached over, and flicked both of the Erus upon the forehead, granting them the gift of language.

"And I have another gift for you." the Artist-God said, scooping a handful of dirt from the ground. He fashioned this into a scroll, which was given unto the male Erus.

"This writing contains all of the writing that will be needed for your survival. I'd recommend reading the section about creating clothing. It would be best if you didn't walk around naked."

And with that, Artefaxe was gone, to make his next creation.
