A Goliath's Tale: The Missing Dawncaller
Within a few moments the entire team is ready to fulfill their mission. At first the lingering darkness frustrates Feastbringer's eyes, but with her brother's aid they spot a trail leading out of the camp. Meanwhile Cloudhead and Stoneblessed search for any threats.
Feastbringer & Skinchanger
SpoilerThe tracks leading out of the hard-packed earth of the camp are hard to make out amongst all the various comings and goings of the tribe. An occasionally deep print stands out, notably for its twisting, lopsided outline. Each print found is different from the last, some having as many as four claw marks while others are devoid of any.
This trail leads away from the camp straight to a large boulder about ten mintues away from the camp, behind which a small pool of blood is seeping into the earth. The rock itself bears signs of the struggle as well.
Feastbringer & Skinchanger
SpoilerSearching around the boulder reveals another trail, leading away south. This new set resembles large planks of wood, randomly pierced with nails. Not far along the new trail, drops of blood mirror the prints. The original trail continues away west from the boulder.

Kaeiolathlak Skinchanger
Skinchanger shifts back to his humanoid form at the boulder and crouches, looking at the diverging trails. Holding his staff in one hand, he points with it to illustrate his questions. Cloudhead
Cloudhead continues to be on alert for threats, especially now that blood was spilled on the ground. Blood calls Kuliak... He worries for the Dawncaller but stays silent and focused, waiting for the team captain to decide their next move.Avatar by neoseph7

Re: A Goliath's Tale: The Missing Dawncaller
Kathanga Feastbringer
Feastbringer was a bit rankled at her brother still calling her by her childhood name, but it was partially atoned for by him actually consulting her on something so important. "The twisted prints are not Silver-Claw's. But perhaps he is trying to hide his trail by walking on these planks of wood." She examines the blood, trying to determine if it is Goliath blood.
SpoilerI'm going to roll on 'Heal' for this, which I think is the closest, but without including the bonus for carrying a healing kit. Sorry if it's the wrong roll. I have no idea how difficult this would be, as I'm not in the habit of handling blood beyond my own paper cuts!
Heal: (1d20+5)[18]

Kaeiolathlak Skinchanger
"It's the spike marks and the blood that unsettles me about the plank-shaped tracks," says Skinchanger, entirely oblivious to his sister's ire and gesturing to each aspect in turn with his staff. "There was obviously some sort of a struggle here, so I think that we should follow the plank tracks. Silver-claw may have escaped somehow, and it is more likely that these tracks are his than the twisted ones. What do you three think?"Last edited by jagadaishio; 2008-06-04 at 11:57 AM.

Re: A Goliath's Tale: The Missing Dawncaller
Kathanga Feastbringer:
If she identifies the blood as Goliath blood:
Spoiler"I think the blood belongs to Silver-Claw. We should follow the bloody trail to find him."
If she identifies the blood as non-Goliath blood:
Spoiler"This blood did not come from Silver-Claw. He may yet be unharmed."
If she can't learn anything about the blood:
Spoiler"I don't know who shed this blood, but I think we should follow this trail and find out."
