    Gwen advances into the room and comes up and passes Quanos. She uses a small pottery vessel filled with water and reaches out with one hand to make a crushing motion.

    Rain remains in the hallway, she sits down on the ground and looks anxiously down the hallway.

    Gwen-Fort Save (1d20+11=22)

    Move to J7. She casts creeping cold (Spell Compendium 55) on lizard 5. She has a range of 35 ft, it affects one creature. 1st round damage (1d6=4). One fort save DC 19. On the 2nd round, damage is 2d6, on the 3rd, 3d6. If the fort save is successful, then all damage is halved.

    Quanos grits his teeth and starts into action, moving towards the imposing, screeching lizards. His hand flicks towards the the lizard in the corner, a bolt of acrid green liquid arching from him at the lizard.

    Gwen's spell causes one of the lizards to be partially covered with a sheen of ice. Diedre is able to shut out the noise sufficiently to use her staff, then she finds it suddenly to be much less distracting. Annika charges up to one of the lizards, intent on taking it down. Her blade strikes it, but she notices that it doesn’t penetrate as deeply as she might expect it to. The cold certainly seems to affect it.

    Quanos launches a sickly yellow arrow at one lizard, but it streaks just past, puffing into the wall behind it. Antiope's arrow misses completely, and the others just cringe in the noise.

    For their part, the lizards still continue to shriek.

    The cold will continue to affect the lizard this round. Gwen seeing that they aren't doing much other than screaming and she advances forward, drawing her scimitar. She activates the screaming and bane aspects of the scimitar before she swings at the closest one.

    As the screeching suddenly receded in his ears, Beleg heaved a sigh of relief and cast about for his bow, which had somehow fallen from his grasp. Gathering it up, he swiftly drew and fired at the most likely target.

    Gwen's spell continues to ice over one lizard, and her scimitar hacks into the small creature's hide, slicing a gash across it. The weapon's own shriek is lost in the noise of the lizards. Diedre rescues Beleg from the sounds with her staff, enabling him to send another arrow into a lizard, burying it into the scaly hide, though not quite as much as he would like. Still, it is enough to make the blighted little thing shut the heck up and slump to the ground.

    Annika slashes at the lizard before her again, cutting a respectable slash across its scales. Peter casts a spell again, filling the air around three of the lizards with snowballs that seem to disturb the lizards greatly. Antiope, seeing a good opening, drops her bow and pulls her sword as she charges one of the lizards. She uses a tight two handed grip on the blade for maximum power, slamming the blade into the lizard and nearly cutting it in half.

    The shrieking goes on as the little lizards shrink away from those who threaten them with weapons.
