There is enough loose gravel and scree to add a large amount of material to the cap in a few moments. The water barely trickles in at this point. The only way to seal the cap from here it to truly seal it with some sort of cementing agent or crafting a cap. Both of which would take more time than you have.

Tapping Sophiel on the shoulders, Celeste says, "Say, that's a neat trick you can do turning into a mermaid. Does it actually let you breathe underwater? That's one I can't figure out how to do so far..."

The diabolic creature tapped one elegant finger against his chin, pondering the problem. From a political perspective, the plan was good - if they could surpass this Harbinger, they would make great gains in the eyes of these prospective worshippers. On the other hand - they had no idea what they were facing. Still, he and his companions were more than competent - surely they should be able to hander whatever this - thing - was.

That indeed seems to be our chief issue in our pursuit of the malefic piscines. We need a method of respiring beneath the waves, as it were.

Taktak is getting more nervous by the minute. You should hurry [Great Ones] the Harbringer comes. And I do not know if it is for you or for the [Demon Fish]! With that he turns and scurries back up the passage way, where he ducks into a large crack in the wall. He pokes his head out a second later and looks up and down the tunnel before pulling his head back into the safety of a good hiding spot.

Sophiel swung her head back, putting all her hair behind her head as she regarded Celeste with a smirk.

"I will handle the rest of the abominations." She said with another confident smile, "The rest of you, indulge this Harbinger's appetite for destruction, if you so desire."

Hmmm... I considered changing shape into a Skum disguise, but the wording on their Amphibious is vague.

"Sophiel, I was come with yuo to vanquish the remaining fish demons. I can change form temporarily to breathe underwater, though I willlikly revert to my natural form for actual battle to regain my immunityto electricity."

Excalith appears in the room, coalescing from red tinged light and mist. "The hole is sealed as well as I can do. But it seems we have another problem on our hand. I won't be much use in the confines of water, so I shall stay to confront whatever threats remain behind... and see if this howling beast is as big a threat as that kobold thinks it is.

Celeste starts walking back towards the lake wher ethey fought all the Aboleths. When she and Sophiel gets there, she'll Polymorph into a Mermaid as well as she dives down towards the light.

The four of you leave Excalith and Taktak behind, seeking the depths. The water is cold and those of you that are native to the water can tell that the water slightly fouled. Into the deeper water you all go, darkenss and murk limit your vision to thirty feet ot so.

There is a single sourse of light that does pierce the murky darkness, the white yellow glow of something deeper. It draws you onward, downward. After more than fifteen minutes of swimming the light resolves into the sourse of the foulness and Aboleth. You look down at what looks like a small town carved from a single huge whorling twisted spike of stone. The water is clear and moves in a circular current keeping the water clear. You can see many of the skum swimming about as well as several more Aboleth.

From the bottom most entryway into the town comes an aboleth that is easily twice the size of the other two that escort it. Great dark fire dances along the sides of the [Demon Fish], many skum follow along in its wake.

The slience of the air is only broken by a few small sounds, the slight lapping of the waves against the shorline. The quiet whimpers and crunch of Taktak shifting his fightened self in his hiding hole. Finally, the oncoming crunch and howl of the Harbringer. You can tell it is still a ways above you, but should be here in about fifeteen minutes.

Celeste looks around, trying to see if any of the Aboleths and Skum had noticed the intrusion.

They do not seem to have noticed you yet.

As you can hear the creature, the Harbringer coming a few sounds resolve themselves into the clinking of a massive chain and the heavy breathing of a large creature.

The huge spiked demon steps into the chamber, you recognize its kind instantly, one of the lieutentants of hell. A great horned devil steps into the seeminly small beach area his eyes faling on Excalith instantly. The chain around its waist unwinds and he steps forward I was told there were five of you. Where are the othere!?

The Aboleth and his entourage continue upward, toward you. The voice of age and cunning comes nito your minds from further out than you thought possible You have destroyed my spawn, and come into my city. You are all obviously beings of great power, who sent you and why? Defend your actions or face my wrath.

The elf-mermaid-demon responds to the large Aboleth telepathically, "We wanted to talk about a possible peace between the kobolds and your people, but your people did not seem to want to talk. This confrontation in end in one of two ways. Either you hammer out some sort of deal with the kobolds, or one of us will die. I'd prefer the first option."

Do you speak of the foodlings that dig in the earth? The tiny minded reptilian ones? They are food, we wil not have peace between us. Just as humans cannot make peace with the cows, we will not make peace with the foodlings.

They are the ones who have encroached upon our territory. Their tunnels and mines have impacted our city and lowered the water level of the Undersea. They have damaged our home and now they pay with their lives and memories. They are such small bits of food, but their minds are sharp and full of good flavor.

The diabolic Zariel sat quietly as Celeste spoke,but then raised his own voice. What if we could convince them to leave your territory alone and tunnel around? Would that be an acceptable option?

There can be no recompense for their actions at this point. They are nothing less that foodling that bite back. They have sent a Horned Demon in the past which we destroyed with much effort, but destroyed. They have called another, and it now stands with your fifth on the beach of the Undersea. You now have a choice, stay and deal with me or allow the Horned Demon to rip your companion to pieces.

The main concern is; do you deal with us now or after?

"We are immortals- and death is but a fleeting discomfort that we may soon enough forget." She continued, "I doubt you are so similiarly blessed."

"The little ones are ours, now." She commanded, "They shall serve us as your own thralls do, and we shall defend them."

Mentally speaking to her allies, Celeste goes, "I wonder if we could convert most of the remaining aboleths as well after we kill the head honcho?"

Speaking up once again, she points at the Aboleth. "We have an interest in defending the "foodlings" as you call them. Right now you have a choice to make. Know that we can destroy you and your city utterly should we wish to. (bluff check [roll0])

"If you do not surrender and agree to peace talks right now, we will raze your city and kill every single last of your spawn...after we're done desecrating your corpse. If you agree to talks, you and your people will be spared, *and* we will get them to stop harming your city. The one on the beach can destroy the Harbringer on his own." (Intimidate check [roll1])

Zariel gave a wicked, watery little chuckle, and his eyes danced maliciously. It had been a while since he'd gotten to contemplate some of the more entertaining parts of his job. He turned to Celeste, almost purring as he spoke, and giving her a smile that was at once salacious and utterly chilling.

Oh, Celeste dear, it's not as if we'd have to stop at death. I'm from Hell, remember. We did rather write the book on horrible things that can be done to the soul. And I assume even creatures as... interesting as Aboleths have one of those.

It is obvious that i would have to expend an immense amount of resources to expel you from my domain, your threat do not frighten me. I can see that you are unique beings and that you have great power. The spawn that you destroyed had all grown into their full power. There is little you can say to sway me from my descisions about the foodlings.

You however are of great interest to me.

The Aboleth responds I am not the one who is contesting the order of things, as they are. You are. Now decide, leave this place and my foodlings or leave.

The smaller aboleth around him spread out in a wide semi circle, as the skum begin to spread out also. Many of the skum have spears or harpoons, the heads made from bone.

"If we are of great interest to you, then what might you want with us, if we allow you to continue hunting the foodlings unhindered? We are not so set in our ways that we can't change our minds if it would benefit our master."

The Aboleth responds - So you are not here to destroy me? I think I can speak free in saying that I am truly curious what creatuers such as yourselves are doing here, and why? You are obviously not working for the kobolds, for they have sent their Harbringers in the past. Even as the one approaches now. For if you were, we would not be communicating. Why are you here?
