Chinak stood perfectly still right after the bullet whizzed by his head, which in his mind might account for why the gecko was hit instead of him with that anvil. The god of luck apparently has bad aim today or is drunk...thank the rest of the gods.

He then turns around and proceeds to smash the remains of the gecko into a tender juicy pulp.

Momentarily bewildered, I look to the dry, clear bright sky above the Gecko. Then back to the anvil that had so casually concussed it. "Astonishing" is about all I can bring myself to say, as my thoughts rapidly wander - calculating probabilities and permutations; lead me to conclude that these irrational events I've started to witness, however unlikely, are very probably going to continue, bizarrley against all sensible intuition.

Conrad laughs as the anvil strikes the gecko. I guess that big fellow wasn't kidding about the anvils! he thinks as he stomps on the beast, bending down and thrusting his knife into its exposed torso. I guess sometimes bad luck can work in your favor.

Between the primitive's smashing and the military/gun obsesses man's stabbing, the gecko dies with much sprayage of blood, twitching on the ground.

Combat is temporarily over. Everyone roll a Perception check please. Roll 1d10 and see if it is equal to or lower than your Perception stat.

Looking at the anvil, I conclude that it is - actually a real, solid, cast iron anvil. Still very much incongruous with the wastes, and the deceased Gecko beneath it.
    Looks bloody heavy too.
Since we're probably just gonna wait for toothy to return, now we've caused our distraction; I have a go at skinning the Gecko that looks like it suffered the messiest critical existance failure. My thinking being; to practice skinning on the worst, to make the most of the best.
With a mild look of trepidation, I draw my knife and kneel next to the carcass...thinking back to chordate anatomy 101, and whistling #the leg bones' connected to the, knee bone..#

Inside, you do see some sort of light, possibly from a flare, but it is behind a pillar. Beyond the pillar is aslightly different direct are Toothy and his two buddies facing off against 2 Golden geckos. The geckos are blocking the way out, and they are only semi-illuminated since the flare is a bit far off. If someone grabs the flare and brings it close to the fight, your lighting penalties will disappear. Erik's first shot hits a pillar due to the bad lighting.

The two Geckos both seem slightly injured. Toothy himself looks scratched, but mostly fine. One of his friends looks fine. The other friend, the one closest to the geckos right now looks like he's missing some small chunks of flesh, and is in pain.

Both Geckos continue attacking the injured man! You hear more screams of pain. Toothy shoots on of the Geckos in the arm, while his uninjured friend stabs at the same Gecko with a spear, missing.
