Re: Dr. Bath's Random Banter, dripping with daring deeds of dastardly deipnosophists
Heh. Thanks. I'm not bothered that people use it. It's easy and handy and accessible for the most part. In fact, I can't even see my own avatar while I'm at work. I'm annoyed that work blocks it. I mean, I can see blocking sites that should not be viewed at work but by and large photobucket isn't one of those places.
And ironically, after they went through the trouble of blocking harmless image hosting sites, they didn't bother blocking sites like adclick.Want to meet some of the most awesome people on the internet? Come to the Baltimore/DC Area RenFest Meetup 2012!

I am dissapointeeeed.
It is 8:44am and my Post Person has not arrived yet.
Why are they wasting other people's precious tax munnies on funding these superheros if they're always late in delivering me important stuffs.
I needs Brawl damnation.

(or was it jive?)
Also: I need to stop having these fantasies about becoming a giant monster, because someday someone is going to walk up to me and say:
"Hey, I have a growth ray. I can make you giant."
And then Earth is doomed.
and I'll be bored afterwards.

Hey, Jibar...I have a growth ray. Y'know, if you're interested. Ages ago, I tested it on various lizard bones (went back in time in my time macheine). Imagine my suprise when I come back and suddenly everyone thinks things called dinosaurs used to exist. Boy was my face red. Turns out causality does exist.

I have a shrink ray. Would you like to be smaller?
Also, my weed-tree lost a major limb in a storm this afternoon, and I am still wearing skuzzy pants from chopping it up. Is this a bad sign?

Re: Dr. Bath's Random Banter, dripping with daring deeds of dastardly deipnosophists
Weed-tree. A tree that grew without being bidden to do so, often in a place that did not get mowed often enough.
In this case, somebody noticed that it was growing by our rock, and, thinking it was a bush, encouraged it. After not so many years, we noticed that it was a tree, and let it go about its treely ways. Now I fear it is sick and may soon die. Alas for the tree, I hardly knew it.

Re: Dr. Bath's Random Banter, dripping with daring deeds of dastardly deipnosophists
I remember one person a while ago being all "I'm totally rich'n'famous'n'stuff but no, I won't tell you who I am so suck on that suckers! Sucked in!" Did we get some names, as well?
Hm... Starting to sound a bit creepy there
Actually, here's a questions for y'all: Who would you get star-struck for/about/in front of? Who would you turn all "Ah... guh... bluh... fuh... I know you... I loved you in that thing with the guy and... duuuuuh" for if you came face-to-face with them?
I'd say Johnny Depp, but I hope that I'd be all sensible and have a nice intelligent discussion with him about politics and stuff <.< Anthony Hopkins maybe, he's pretty awesome. Oddly enough no female folk come immediately to mind...The Iron Avatarist Hall of Fame!

Re: Dr. Bath's Random Banter, dripping with daring deeds of dastardly deipnosophists
Met Patrick Stewart. He rocks and has like 1,000 funny stories.
Met Terry Pratchett. Signing for "Pyramids" waaaaay back. Quick hi.
Met Craig Charles (Red Dwarf and Robot Wars). He's a coked up little Scouse g*t. I was SO disappointed.
Met Al Murray when he played Newcastle.
Met a couple of the Ncl United football team, some tv actors and some guys in rock bands when bar working. They were...pretty bland, but then I suppose most people are outside their preferred environment.
I'd probably go buh...ah...buh...buh...YOUAREMYGOD! at Harrison Ford, and I'd probably go away from meeting Elizabeth Dushku (from "Buffy") with the impression that I'd been talking to our Saithis.

Re: Dr. Bath's Random Banter, dripping with daring deeds of dastardly deipnosophists
Terry Pratchett. That is all.
And yeah, I'm home 'ill'. Except I just had to walk about two or three miles in the rain (which I knew would come before Mazey Day) so I'll be ill pretty soon.
At least it's pretty much only videos today. Literally. French - we're watching Chocolat, but the one about some place in South Africa. Medieaval History - A Man of Four Seasons. Classics - Potatopus Rex (Oedipus Rex with spuds). Eng Lang'll be doing the newspaper and I even did seven ads. Eng Lit'll be a vid as well.
@^: I envy you. What were the top two like? I mean, Pratchett and Patrick Stweart, how cool!Last edited by CurlyKitGirl; 2008-06-27 at 08:57 AM.

Meeting Will Smith would be cool, but for sheer star shock, not personal preference. Meeting Mark Norrel, or Mike Novacek would maake me go like, woah. Although I already met them, so...
I actually havn't gotten round to reading any of Terry Prachett's work. Should I?
