Startled at the sound, Urban looks in the direction of the commotion. "What... What was THAT?!"

[Dorizzit]

Dan looks at Abdul. "<NO. No you do not.>" He looks at Urban. "I'm going to see what the source of that commotion is. Don't take your eyes off my 'friend' here for too long if you know what's good for you. You can go with me or stay here, but make your choice fast. I'll be back once I know." Dan runs towards the source of the commotion.

Abdul follows

Urban

Staring briefly at Abdul after Dan gives his warning, Urban follows when both men take off to discover the noise. "Have you seen anyone else?"

Dan keeps moving. "Not yet," he replies tersely.

Abdul grabs a sharp rock.

Waldo
Neither pilot had helmets, unfortunately. The pilots on commercial flights do have swanky hats, though. Now, you do manage to stuff the goods into your pack, and scavenge a few more packets of noodles from the kitchen. The voices of the others are fading as they move further from the door, but you can just hear the buzz of their conversation off in the fog.

Urban, Dan, and Abdul
Out of the fog materializes a very new and interesting scene. Several trees and pockets of shrubbery shelter a body lying on the grassy turf. But what some will find far more interesting is a giant cave to the right, embedded in the cliff wall. The body seems to be one of the passengers from the airliner, you would guess. The cave is a contrast to the rest of the brownish-grey cliff wall, as it seems to be carved out of magnificent white marble. It is about 2 stories tall, which means the cliffs are probably even higher. There are runes running along raised bands along the insides. The entire cave is definitely not natural.

Waldo exited the plane by means of the slide and followed the voices (after taking a few more snapshots of the plane and getting angry at his camera for running out of film).

Urban

Overcome by curiosity, he moves forward to study the runes. Although without any formal education in pictographs, Urban has dabbled in them with curious reading and as tangents to cryptography.

Dan watches Abdul carefully. "<After you.>"

Abdul throws a hateful glance at the american. But he still enters the cave, shoving Urban out of the way.

Dan, Abdul, and Urban

The inside of the cave slopes down and stretches far inward, but you can see where it takes a sharp 90 degree right turn. The runes line the insides as far as you can see, even taking with the turn, so you can only guess as to how long it is. The smell of burnt flesh now carries with the breeze, reminding you that there is a body lying in the grass behind you.

Waldo

Your progress towards the rest of the group is unimpeded, but you swear you can hear a humming or buzzing off to your left. It might just be the fireflies, but you can't tell now. For now, you arrive at the cave, and you espy the body on the ground and the magnificent artificial cave.

Urban huffs at the shove. "Where are you in a hurry to go? Haven't you ever watched Indiana Jones? Places like this are usually trapped!"

Waldo Andersen
Waldo walked up to the corpse and came to a halt. He picked up a stick and started contemplatively poking the body.

"Hello? Mister? This is your travel agent. We're terribly sorry about the delay. Mister?"

Abdul just keeps walking, searching for a rock or something similar

Further into the cave, not much is visible. It seems to just be a flawless uninteresting tunnel. It takes sharp 90 degree turns. You have explored thus far:

What stops you is a magnificent clay pot, shattered on the ground, and a pool of blood trailing from it deeper into the tunnel.

Waldo
You smell more than notice a half-dollar sized, sizzling hole in the middle of the dead man's chest. And, while you poke your prize, the humming sound grows louder, along with faint whispers of deep but smooth voices, uttering indiscernible words.

Dan and Urban
You also hear the humming, but not the voices, as you are a deal further away. You can also hear Waldo, who has now approached the body behind you.
