Reid urges the fly into a spiraling dive, slashing at the hound even as it reaches out to bite him as he comes into melee range.

    Spoiler
    Show
One you had attacked with the rapier, the other was hit by your flamestrike earlier. I'm assuming you want to damage the one that's most hurt.

    AoO on Reid:
    (1d20+19)[39]
    CC: (1d20+19)[38]
    D: (2d6+10)[20]
    CD: (2d6+10)[15]

Even as the hound bites into Reid, the rapier flashes and parts it's skin once more, driving a deep wound into it's neck. The hound would not survive a second attack.

Hist runs and teleports at a short hop, coming to the outside of the temple walls.

And sees the blinded hound, still covered in glitterdust, sniffing at the ground where Anura and the others had been before her teleport.

Looking around, he sees the hound where Dothen was at, and then catches sight of what is left of Dothen's body. By now, Dothen's other arm has been ripped off, and there is a large pool of blood surrounding the body. The hound has it's back to Hist, but Hist can see it gnawing away at the shoulder of the dead thief.

    <<<<End Round 15>>>>

    >>>>Init 26 (????)

The creature drifts further, it's fog like body drifting straight through the wall that surrounds the temple. It happens upon the blind hound, and a tendril of the creature again separates from the body, swiping at the hound.

    Anu
Anura looks up from the unconscious priest to see Kjapp running out the door.

"Kjapp, wait a moment!" she calls out.

Glancing around the room, her gaze falls on the altered holy symbol on the far wall, and she consider's Hist's reaction to concentrating on it with his warlock sight. After a moment's pause, her eyes narrow and she gives the priest a good shake. Assuming this still doesn't wake him, she quickly searches him for anything that looks obviously like holy water.

She'll also glance around for any weapons held or dropped by the unconscious villagers that look to be made of adamantine.

    If Kjapp has run off:
    Spoiler
    Show
Anura grumbles quietly under her breath as she works.

    If Kjapp hasn't run off:
    Spoiler
    Show
Anura gestures to the wall. "The symbol and the monster may be connected. Look for holy water and an adamantine weapon. We might need them shortly."

    Spoiler
    Show
OOC: Lochar, if things move on before I get a chance to post again, Anura plans to try to get any vials of holy water that she can find on the fallen villagers, and also an adamantine weapon of some sort if she can find one (searching the 'protection from evil' warded-folks first, then any other armed/armored villagers in the room). She will be keeping a wary eye and ear tuned to any hint that the undead horror is coming back her way, or that it has turned on the party members outside.

Do you realize, you could ONLY confirm with another 20? *shakes head*

A gutteral roar seems to come from Histantos as he dives at the creature, the warlock's hands emblazoned with thick energy, dark as night, tinged with gray. The dark energy seems to actually light up the night around him, not because it is light, but the difference of the utter dark portion of the magic makes the normal light seem as dusk.

The creature does nothing to him as he approaches, and Hist's hands reach out as he flies by, striking.

Then the creature reacts, as the black aura surrounds the creature, and literally feasts upon it. The same aura appears around the creature for a moment, before rapidly shrinking to less than a third of the size, while the energy around Hist expands in less than the blink of an eye.

A scream echoes from the fog cloud that is the creature, one of pain and loss. As Hist rushes away with the taken energy, a tendril lashes out at him, striking back as hard as it can.

Now it takes the Attack of Opportunity.

    Touch Attack: (1d20+15)[30]
    CC: (1d20+15)[17]
    Damage: (3d6)[7] + (1d4)[1] Permanent Int drain.
    CD: (3d6)[10] + (1d4)[3]

Please make a DC 23 Will save or be shaken as long as you're within 60' of the creature.

Also, please tell me where you wish to end up. Map last linked is accurate, AFAIK.

Not movingafter I hit the creature. Just assume Hist in in the closest space. He's just hitting it head on, AFAIC
