The majority of the arena floor is rock with a thin layer of dust and soil. The light brown 10x10 areas are large rock outcroppings around 10 ft. tall. The dark blue is a small stream approximately 10 ft. deep, while the light blue pools are 20 ft. deep. The dark brown 10x10 square in the center of the arena is a wooden bridge crossing the river.

How about this. I'll start on the bridge, in your crossfire, at K12. Alterform, you can start your waterbender at P13. Fanboy, your waterbender can begin at E12.

Also, it's traditional to describe your character's entrance into the ring before the match starts. Y'know, just to look cool. Also, all OOC posts, rolls, etc. should be in spoiler tags. Like this conversation we're having, for example.

The arena quiets as the usually vivacious announcer zombear steps away from the podium, an overcoat covering his torn fur coat and a well-worn suitcase in his stuffed paw. As he turns from the crowd, he speaks briefly with a dangerous-looking man wearing nothing but a loose pair of tan trousers. The arrow tattoos of an air nomad have been altered and widened into the form of blue snakes striping his back, limbs, and bald head. The lean, well-muscled man nods to the zombear as it leaves, then steps up to the announcer's podium.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! OUR FIGHTERS ARE PREPARED! OUR HONOR WILL BE TESTED AS WE FIGHT, WITHOUT A REFEREE! WITH NO FURTHER ADO, THE NEXT MATCH SHALL BEGIN!"

Immediately, the fighter draws a dagger and jumps into the arena, taking the hundred-foot drop admirably and rolling as he lands. He takes his place on the bridge at the center of the arena, and prepares to do battle.

    Looks like I'm first.

Standard Action: Use Mist seed to create a 30-ft radius cloud of mist centered on the intersection of J12/J13/K12/K13. (DC 30 (10 base + 5 * 4 (+20 ft radius)), passed by taking 10 for a result of 32).

Move Action: Move into the cloud. Position spoilered below to prevent cheating.
    Spoiler

    Position: M9

The mist provides to 20% concealment to anyone 5 feet away from you; it is impossible to visually locate an opponent by sight beyond that.

End turn; initiative passes to Turak.

Sikkun springs into action at the announcer's call, performing a graceful spin on the spot and drawing the water crossing the arena into the air, shrouding the combat in a dense fog. Several members of the crowd give a cheer at this impressive display of waterbending.

"Catch me if you can!" he calls out before rushing into the cloud.

Noticing that they can't see what's happening anymore, the same crowdgoers who cheered before let out a groan and boos.

AlterForm, don't worry about spoilering your position and all that. Mostly because I didn't realize that in time that I shouldn't look at it; and because we're on the honor system. You might want to change your move now that I've seen your location, by the way. I'll roleplay as if I hadn't seen it, but still. Further, it's not hard for you to edit it, so putting your location down doesn't really do anything. Go ahead and write it down or whatever suits you.

Also, that's a dirty way to start the match. Nicely done.

    Your turn, Fanboy.

Point taken for the future. I love how my brain has tactical genius so far as my character's moves, but I don't realize how insecure simply spoilering my position is.

Turak grunted, so this one was a run, and hide type eh? No matter he thought. Moving forward 20 ft he smiled wickedly, and drew a deep breath , and witha mighty stomp the enitre arena begins to shake viloently some of the crowd members were knocked out of their seats but others cheered as all of the other contestant, wobbled unsteadily.

Balance Check: (d20+3)[11] (No way I'm succeeding at it untrained) [EDIT]: Yep, Sikkun is prone.

Also, you'd notice Rialu at K12 as you entered J12, which is just 25 feet of movement. Stopping in front of him means he threatens you, so you couldn't take 10 on bending with a concentration check. You'd have seen him there before I set up my smokescreen, though, so you might want to change your move to reflect that.

Also also, remember to spoiler anything that isn't fluff (like your checks and effects) in the future.

At the moment, I'm effectively invisible to the two of you over in M9. You and Rialu are also similarly invisible to each other, but you knew his last position before I put up the cloud. However, he may or may not move on his initiative.

You can automatically see someone 5 feet away from you in the cloudbank, but beyond that is not possible by any visual means.

Rialu (me) and Turak (Fanboy) don't know where Sikkun (AlterForm) is. Turak just walked up to J12, surprisingly meeting up with Rialu at K12, who gets an attack of opportunity since Turak walked into his threatened space. The fog cloud conceals everything within 30 feet of the bridge, including Turak's original location.

The AoO connected against Turak, so he must make a save against Stunning Fist. If the Stunning Fist succeeds, Turak's turn is finished. If he passes the fort save, though, he executes an earthquake that knocks Rialu and Sikkun to the ground. That's all we've done so far. Roll your fort save, Fanboy.

    AoO damage 1 - (1d10+6)[9] + (1d4)[3] = 12 damage off the AoO.

Sigh. Yes, you make it. You also provoke a second attack of opportunity for your form though, since you didn't bend defensively. I can't use Stunning Fist again, but make your Concentration check if the attack hits. And I forgot to apply miss chance from the fog. 20% miss chance, so 1-20 is a miss, everything else is a hit. This AoO is with my foot, so beware.

    AoO #2 - (1d20+17)[32]
    Miss Chance - (1d100)[89]
    AoO Damage - (1d10+9)[11] + (1d4)[4] = 15 damage

If you can't make a DC 15 Concentration check, then you can't do your earthquake. In case you do, here's my untrained balance check...in the next post.

You said your character walked 25 feet forward, which is 5 squares, which takes you from E12 to J12. You can't see more than 5 feet in the fog, so you can't be sure where I am until you see me. Of course, by then, you've entered my threatened area.

Does that make sense, or am I missing something?

AAARGH! I mixed up the builds of my two characters!

Sigh. I'm so sorry to do this to you, guys. My character doesn't have Combat Reflexes. He has Knock-Down. That means that there was no second AoO, so you can eliminate that damage. Your DR prevented my use of knock-down, Fanboy, so no worries there. It's my turn now, and your Earthquake means that I'm prone as it starts.

Anyway, I use a move action to stand (provoking an AoO from Turak at J12), then I use a standard action to make a Decisive Strike (x2 damage if I attack as a standard action) against Turak with my foot Unarmed Strike. I also use Power Attack to take -3 from my attack and add +6 damage.

    Attack Roll - (1d20+14)[33]
    Damage Roll - (1d10+15)[21] + (1d4)[4] = 25 damage x2 (Decisive Strike) = 50 damage

Rialu looks intensely into his earthbending opponent's eyes through the haze of the fog, deftly standing from the shaking earth. Bending his leg briefly, the expert fighter launches a deadly kick which sticks violently into Turak's gut.

    Forgot Miss chance again.

    Miss Chance - (1d100)[96]

    Successful attack, all told.

and here's my Knock-Down feat. Basically, my attacks knock you down if they deal more than 10 damage, after DR, which mine certainly did. It's a trip attempt. Make an your AoO and an opposed Strength or Dex check, Fanboy.

    Trip Attempt - (1d20+7)[18]

Dude you know that if I hit you your move stops short, and you dont get to stand also because your prone you dont get your dex bonus to Ac, and I get an additonal +4 against you because your prone. Invisible castle dont stop on me now (although I get +15 with my warhammer.) http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1675983/
crit comfirm http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/1675983/ not confirmed but still a hit. (1d8+5)[6]

What are you talking about? You get a melee attack against me, certainly, and it's clearly a hit, but it doesn't stop me from standing up as a move action. Also, being prone doesn't mean I lose my Dex bonus, just that I take an AC penalty.

    I'll quote the SRD.
    Spoiler

    Prone

The character is on the ground. An attacker who is prone has a -4 penalty on melee attack rolls and cannot use a ranged weapon (except for a crossbow). A defender who is prone gains a +4 bonus to Armor Class against ranged attacks, but takes a -4 penalty to AC against melee attacks.

Standing up is a move-equivalent action that provokes an attack of opportunity.
So that's your AoO, and I'll note the damage. Now please make your opposed Trip check.
