Re: Heaven and Hell: Fate of the World [IC]
The creature ducks Voth's dagger, avoiding the attack. With wicked speed it aproaches Samuel, raising it's abominable claws at the paladin, striking down to kill. The attack rips through Samuel's armor, throwing him to the ground, unconscious.
Spoiler
Samuel takes another 8 damage, standing now at -3.
I posted last time 6 days ago, and only two people replyed. Don't let the game die :/

Re: Heaven and Hell: Fate of the World [IC]
Sara Phillipson
Sara takes the pain of the scream, but with the help of Targat, manages to recover and be even more prepared for the next few moments. As the battle goes on around her, she can do nothing to react to the creature, unable to get a lock on it long enough to send a useful attack towards it. When the creature downs Samuel, Sara turns her attention towards it. Energy wells in her orb, and ice coats her right hand as she focuses on the creature. An arcane word symbol appears in her mind's eye, and she speaks the incantation. "Freeze." A singular stream of ice suddenly flies from her outstretched hand, careening towards the creature as it goes.
SpoilerRay of Frost the creature. I can only assume it's in range, and the "party" doesn't give it cover of any kind.
Attack - (1d20+4)[18] vs. Fortitude
Damage - (1d6+5)[10] and slow for a turn assuming it hits.

Re: Heaven and Hell: Fate of the World [IC]
Targat
with mixed fealing the paladin is down - he never liked goody-two-shoos ... but he might need them to protect 'm - Targat decides to help the paladin up
"Stand up, ya big oaf! It ain't down yet! and no sleeping for you until it is!"
Spoilermove to paladin
minor nothing (I used up my healing words for this encounter)
standard heal (1d20+8)[20] DC 10 to tigger Samuels second wind - healing him to hp equal to his healing surge value*
since Samuels init is below Targats he can still do stuff this turn. (like getting up)
*: in 4rd I just read: healing a character 2 hp when he's at -20, he's then at 2.
reminder for myself:
(HP 21, 0 action points, 0 healing words, 9 surges left, 1 channel divinity
Second wind left: Shiv and Voth)
note to those who care:
I can trigger Shiv and Voth's second wind with a DC 10 heal check (but they don't get +2 defence). After that, I'm down to
- sacred flame (attack that, if it hits, gives 2 temp hp to 1 ally)
- 'DC 15 heal checks to stabilize' left ...Last edited by qube; 2008-09-10 at 12:50 AM.
Yes, tabaxi grappler. It's a thing
RFC1925: With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea.
Alucard (TFS): I do things. I take very enthusiastic walks through the woods
Math Rule of thumb: 1/X chance : There's about a 2/3 of it happening at least once in X tries
Actually, "(e-1)/e for a limit to infinitiy", but, it's a good rule of thumb
