God, it's been an awful lot since I last checked this thread. It's an awesome thing that this thing is still going! Just for the record, I'm going to use a mysterious halber warrior as an NPC on my next DnD ampaign, because TGwaH is THAT awesome.

Goblin Soldier: "We need more goblins! The first wave was massacred!"

GC: "There were 100 soldiers in that wave. How many Azurites are we facing?"

GS: "Just one: that guy with a halberd over there."

As for the exploding Halberd, I think we might be able to incorporate mini-bombs in the pole and a launching device which would be triggered in the handle (or, as someone said, just use magic and call it a day).

Lol, that would be pretty funny actually (and sounds like a plausible OOTS joke...I doubt it would ever be that explicit though, I might augment:
