    Khasis

The meeting with the Rastulians had been brief. The following night, most members of the Athanasian expedition and the Ensi travelling with the Lichlord dreamed of long-buried tombs and mountains of gold. A disembodied voice haunted their sleep, calling them by their name. It seemed to hail from the Heart of the desert.

    Barin

During the other gods' war, Barin had been strengthening his people, and the animal-people were now fully integrated into the Under Empire. The Under Empire had expanded even further... and even deeper. It now spanned a large portion of the continent, and went deep underground. They were drawing closer to the Dark Elves cities and they knew it, their borders were strengthened, new mining teams guarded well, and explorers now heavily armed. As they explored deeper into the Core, they started discovering... things, and new metals as well. Barin had always known of the rare and ancient metals, but saw fit for the people to discover them on their own, with help from him coming via his priests... but the creatures were unknown to him...

    ----

    Gargax

Gargax noted the coming and leaving of the Rastulians, but his focus was on the thrum of power coming from the deeps of the desert. The vampire had told him that he had felt a change in the blood of their group as well as the Crystallin, as well as the scent of blood in the air. Gargax did not know what these portents meant, but he aimed to find out. Summoning the other lich to him as well as other notable Psionicists and mages, he began a grand clairvoyance, seeking to see the truth in the present, and that which is hidden behind the vail of the future, as well as deep in the mines of the past.

    Ailaster

The Master of the Ruby Order, leader of the Krystallen expedition, studied the ancient maps found by his men. He felt uneasy. The dreams were a bad omen. A darkness was growing in the vicinity of Basalt Keep.

Could it be true? Could the Lost God be buried here, like the Rastulians seemed to think?

That night, Ailaster prayed to Khasis for guidance. However, the Learned God seemed more distant than ever.

    --------------------------------

    Khasis

In the meantime, the industrious city-state of Athanasia had emerged as a great power, possessing economic, military, diplomatic and cultural strength, largely thanks to psionics and financed scientific research. It's army included soulknives, psions capable of summoning legions of astral constructs and golems made resistant to psychic attacks. Seeing as the Under Empire was now occupying most of the subterranean world, the Athanasians claimed the control of the skies and built the first airship prototypes.

I could, depending on how much freedom you want as players and how much work I have to do as a DM. If it's something along the lines of this game, it shouldn't be too hard for me. Do you want stricter rules?

Here's what I had in mind (it's only a suggestion at this point):

History repeats itself. The future of the world of the Gods in Glass is in jeopardy again. Portals to the Tunnels of Vesper are opening everywhere. The powers of the warring gods are ripping the land apart. Mortals and undead are fighting for supremacy. In this chaos, an entity more powerful than anything the world has seen before comes out from hiding. He surveys the battlefield and picks a handful of lesser creatures, both good and evil (that means mortals and undead, but no angel/demon/anything else of that power level). He takes them with him and leaves the dying planet, in hope to start everything anew.

The chosen would then be given the power of gods and a new planet to care after. Their memory would be altered so that they remember nothing of the gods they served in their previous life.

There will be some references to this game, but it will be a completely new world with new gods.

Maybe we should open another recruitment thread, since we lost many players along the way. What do you think?

Also, feel free to make suggestions for this game.

If we're going to open recruitment, I say the only throwbacks to this game that we keep be the starting races. If no one will remember anything anyways, it makes sense. Besides, that way no one will feel they're at a disadvantage or anything.

I thought that the characters could keep some memories of their past life. It could be interesting to explore how they deal with their new godhood.

But I totally agree that we should make this new game accessible to everyone.

Ok guys, I made a new thread in the Recruitment forum:
    Gods of a New Star

By the way, FF Fanboy, I'd like it if you'd erase all direct references to Starcraft if you plan to use the Dark Templars. I mean, they can keep all their traits, but I'd prefer no "Aiur" and the like.

Edit: It looks like you already made your submission. Nevermind, I'll live with the term Protoss

I don't know about the cutting through steel thing, but as for natural advantages the Dvergar are basically made out of stone (they aren't literally, but they're hard like stone)

Yeah I'll nerf them a bit.

Edit: For example, the templars would have a natural camouflage ability. With training, they would be able to become entirely invisible for a short period of time. Blades that cut through anything would be really rare.
