The Mayan civilization did not include much of what is now Mexico, and the Aztecs covered most of it. However, when you go further south, closer to Central America, you will find Mayan ruins in what is now Mexico.

I'm thinking of the Yucatan and such.

P.S. Yes, but the city of New Mexico, the capital(I think) is were the Aztecs lived. The mayans just lived in the south of mexico and more southly.
