Okay I checked the srd, and here it is.

Yes, if you can 'draw' a line from any one corner of your 'cube' to all the corners of you opponents cube and they all pass 'through' the terrain, then you have cover.

You have total cover (your opponent can't see you at all) during that entire move. You are now hiding and have a readied action to attack. Just to be clear on how things work, if your opponent moves so that there is cover (not total cover) he'll get a reactive spot check vs. your hide. If he moves so there is no cover, he will see you without having to pass a spot check.

Also note, if you're opponent has LoS (ie can see you) you can't hide until you break LoS.

As Bayar hasn't started his turn, you action can't have triggered yet. What Alterform was asking is for you to establish a trigger. When Readying an action, you have to state the action you will take (you did, throwing a harpoon), and the condition that will trigger it (you did not).

For example: I ready an action to move (action taken) if my opponent takes a move action. (trigger)

There are many many more triggers, but I trust this illustrates what we need.

You can ready a standard action, a move action, or a free action. To do so, specify the action you will take and the conditions under which you will take it. In round 1, you readied an action (I think) to attack once you gained LoS. LoS was not established between the end of your turn and the beginning of your next one.

In round 2, you did not ready an action, and thus you cannot attack in response to LoS being established.

In round 3, you are attempting to ready another action. When you ready an action, be very clear that you are doing so by posting some variation on the following:

"I ready an action to [ACTION TO BE READIED] in response to [TRIGGER FOR THE ACTION]."

So far, we have the action you want but not the trigger.
