@Archer:SpoilerYou have 25 feet of movement remaining, and a standard action. You are welcome to amend your turn from this point onward.

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 48: Archer McGee vs. Rarlgh
Okay. Spend a free action to watch as the javelin flies 5' away from me (yet somehow ends up in my square...).
Also, not that it matters much, shouldn't LoS have been established when I rounded that corner? As in, G18? He's higher than me, and nothing's blocking the way. Anyways, I will just attack from where I am, since I'm 30', have moved 10', and can. Even if LoS was established earlier, I would have continued to here.
attack: (1d20+5)[21]
damage: (1d8+1)[9]
skirmish: (1d6)[3]
crit: (1d20+5)[14]
Don't worry, even if I hit, I need to do max damage to take you out. Assuming I don't crit, of course. Then I need to roll 2 above average.
EDIT: Oh. My. I almost rolled max.Last edited by dman11235; 2008-09-03 at 08:54 PM.

Because P11 is P18? I thought that's what you were at In that case, LoS would have come at J17 or 18, like Talic said.
@refs: would it be alright to use my 25' of movement to move to I12 before that shot? I don't get my skirmish damage anywhere I move to. To that I say curse you!My sig's Handy Haversack: Need help? Want to see what I've done? Want to see what others have done well? Check it out.

Slightly, my head very slightly peaks over that wall I guess.
But first: at the end of my turn, you're in P11, correct? Then you do your dropping an stuff and move?
That LoS doesn't change my actions except for that movement to get into skirmish range. Which I can do because you aren't in S15 yet, if I move to J11My sig's Handy Haversack: Need help? Want to see what I've done? Want to see what others have done well? Check it out.

Let me see if I understand this...
You want to rewind and change the place you moved last turn because you though you were on a position that allowed you to get skirmish damage but you were mistaken?
I am afraid I will have to say no.
I actually missed a sleep spell on one of my own matchs because I got my opponents position wrong and I think it was Kyuedo that said that since it was not a illegal move there was no base for a rewind, if this clear everything... move on."Please note, we have added a consequence for failure.Any contact with the chamber floor will result in an unsatisfactory mark on your official test record, followed by death. Re: Arena Tournament, Round 48: Archer McGee vs. Rarlgh
Actually, the reason I wanted to do that was because it was closer to him, even though I wouldn't get my skirmish damage anyways, because I thought he was in P18 and not P11. Then I realized that S15 was where he went after my turn (not before), and I would get skirmish damage against him in the position I wanted to move to, which was coincidental (I know, weird). Also because of the whole LoS being weird. But I see that ruling and accept it. Moving on, I believe it is my turn to attempt to strike at you with no extra damage. Btw, my attack only did 8 damage since I wasn't within 30'. I still rolled max!
Okay, so no hiding anymore (for now). Move to J14 as a swift action, then use Rapid Shot (I hit on a 19 normally...why not).

Re: Arena Tournament, Round 48: Archer McGee vs. Rarlgh
S15 -> P18 = 20-ft running start
P18 -> N18 = 10 feet of remaining movement this turn, leaves me in the air. Note that the jumping rules only call for a "straight running jump" and for me to move in a straight line in the air. They don't have to line up. **imagines doing a backflip jump ala Mario 64**Last edited by AlterForm; 2008-09-06 at 11:09 PM.

I did not see that you had Diehard.
Anyways, Alter is correct, the jump skill does not require the lines be straight like that. You could run 20 in one direction and then jump 135 degrees from that if you wanted to. Cue another HR for my campaigns.
And yeah, curse you for not landing that jump. You'd be FF against my attack if you had. Oh well. Here goes....later after work.My sig's Handy Haversack: Need help? Want to see what I've done? Want to see what others have done well? Check it out.
