Need artist for some (basic) stuff
Hopefully this is the right forum for this...
I'm working a little world-building for a campaign and I'm trying to put together a map of a continent. I know generally what I want it to look like (though I'm still toying with the details), but I'm a lousy artist, and I can't even get the shape of the coastline to look "right." Every time I do it it looks like it was drawn by a 3 year old.
I'm looking for a crazy volunteer who would be willing to draw the general shape of the continent (to my specs) for me to fill in the details on. Any kind souls up for that? :)Author of Zeus Is Dead: A Monstrously Inconvenient Adventure, a comedic fantasy novel set in a version of our world where reality TV show heroes slay actual monsters and the Greek gods have their own Twitter feeds!

I would do it but I am only good at copying already drawn maps there are a few free cad programs out there that you could look at to generate a map.

Re: Need artist for some (basic) stuff
One thing you might try is to take a map, preferably one that's just lines, get it in some kind og graphics program, and cut and paste sections of coastline, to suit your needs. You should be able to put something together fairly easily. It's worked for me, in the past.
Or, you could take a map of some small island, and just change the scale. I did that with a map of England, a while back. With a few modifications, and changing the scale to make it a lot bigger, it worked great as a large continent.I DM: For the Love of the Game

And you never have to walk more than 72 miles to get to the coast!

Oh thank God, I get a chance to help somebody today. So far all I've been able to do is irritate them.

In the future, check out AutoREALM. It's great and free for making maps.
