Town Hall III [OOC]
There stands a newly erected building, Giant pillars of white alabaster hold up a domed, cathedral style ceiling. The enormous oak doors, witch are embossed with some of the great events of the town, stand finally open, only a small red ribbon blocking the way. Inside the oaken portals is a scene that potrays all the wealth and prosperity that is the Town. Marble floors, alabaster walls, granite statues, and silk tapestries, to name the least.
There is a grass field covering at least five acres with a flower garden courtyard, and in the middle of the courtyard stands a massive fountain. the fountain portrays the epic battle of Lykan and Mortia De Luna Draco, the beginning of the town. The water shoots out of Mortia's scythe and Lykans Spear. the water splashes off of Mortia's outstretched wings, and cascades down the marble skin of the two combatants. The five acres of courtyard is full to the point of bursting, such volume is the crowd, all who have come to see the dedication of this newest marvel and wonderful addition to the Town.

Artemis97, You now have double the power when involving new judges. Lilith and council.
I follow a general rule: better to ask and be told no than not to ask at all.

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
Congratulations, new council members!!!!
Reminds me of my own times on the council. I was horrible. I had one good idea and went down on record as the worst trial ever!
Good luck, you crazy kids. If I may make a suggestion, I would like to submit a proposal to make all new Town Character threads and Town Directory threads that people who are currently here can update and edit as necessary.inner circle Legionary of Resiliance
I love my Ceikatars!

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
Not funny, Bookboy. But, really, we're all kind of untested in terms of governmental leadership, so, there's a serious margin for error from all of us. BUT, hopefully, we won't blow it.

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
No, I honestly don't trust any of blackout's characters with that kind of power. Or Draken. Or you. Or most of mine.
I follow a general rule: better to ask and be told no than not to ask at all.

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
AND, we'd only use them when someone directly speaks with the council. Or, when the IC council needs to speak with eachother about goings on in the Town.

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
Ninja's note:
An IC council is actually a rather fun and helpful idea (or at least, it has been when I've done it). It normally doesn't matter if there is a really wacky or evil person on the council, because the not-evil people will cancel out their votes, while taking the good from their ideas and using that. (You'd be surprised on how helpful it is to have crazy, conflicting opinions.)
So, if my voice matters at all, I say go for it.
The best idea is just for each OOC council member to take one of their IC characters and put him on the council, just to avoid extreme confusion as to who is on the council and who isn't. Plus, you definitely want to have the council thread be in non-linear time (As in, your council character can be there and someone else at once.) Council meetings take a loooooooong time, and no one wants to tie up a character that long.
That's my two copper.

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
I personally do not like the idea of having the same charachter two places at once; it doesn't make any sense.

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
@Shabal: While this is true, I do not like having one of my charachters in two places because events that may happen in both places may conflict with eachother; such as the death of a charachter. Too much confusion and it borders on ridiculous. That's just my opinion.

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
I say let each player on the council decide between appointing a character and manifesting as an omnipotent player.

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
You play multiple characters, right? It's like that, but with a carbon copy of your character, that can't leave the council. You can do the same with non-council people that come to the thread. Come on, Kelly, please don't make everything a chore with useless complaining. If you want, you can create a new character for the council.

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
One of the reasons it's used is to make things easier to deal with, such as having a trial while a citizen is in jail (and considering the normal length of and time it takes to finish trial threads, it helps if you don't want to have a character tied up for ages). Also, the break in continuity is used in less serious cases like parties, where no one cares much about it and it's not real enough to fit in with actual events. For example, the Llama party; who cares about someone being in two places at once if you're a talking Llama?

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
There are some things that override continually. Convenience shouldn't be one of them; but again I am only stating my opinion which is a bit irrelevant since I'm not on the council anyway. I don't want to turn this into a debate.

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
Kelly, you're not on council, so why do you care? And this is going to take some throught. I'm going with E so far, though that may change, depending on who else gets chosen. Namely, Artemis97's choice. Lilith, and E's in, because then it wont matter if he's in the ring or not. Raril, then god help us I'm using Xand.
I follow a general rule: better to ask and be told no than not to ask at all.

Re: Town Hall III [OOC]
I wouldn't put Lillith on the council beacuase se's already Chief of Police and that would really just be too much for her, Raril...while that would be an interesting choice, he's a no. No for an IC council you would get me, Artemis, the player, the goddess. don't make me angry or I'll turn you into something fuzzy and use you for target practice.
