Vampirism is a state of avoiding Death and yet the god of Death is evil and hates all life. How does that make sense Nora? You see, in my world Death isn't evil, just lawful, with death of course being the ultimate Law. So undead are the ultimate criminals, where their very existence is the crime. A lot more clear cut. But see, in this wacked up world, Death is some sort of weird vengeful god who wants everything to die. So technically, every undead who refuses to die strikes a blow for the forces of Good by spitting in his face. And yet they are still evil, and paladins and clerics like me still hunt them down. So you'll excuse me if I laugh at the weirdness of this plane.

Nora raises an eyebrow at Khiansa. "I believe the gods are ideas, not physical beings. However, my concern is the vampiric needs of hunting and blood drinking."

Fanboy sneered at Nora fully exposing his fangs.
"Your obvious hatred of the undead aside, I would still like to know if we should allow Vespe to stay?"

You saved his life. But is he good now? If he is, then of course he can stay. We'll just have to work harder to keep the blood banks filled. And if he isn't... well, we'd probably better keep him here and keep him from doing any harm.

Nora answers Khiansa "From you. You use your gods are a mental exercise to magic which comes from within." She explains. Turning to Fanboy, she says "I vote no. He is clearly trouble."

Fnaboy looked solemnly at Happyturtle because he honestly didn't know.
"I'm not sure he hasn't been put through the scanners yet, and hes just been turned, yet I can smell it on him hes not evil anymore."

I feel for you. Truly. A world without gods is a world without hope. Everything, your whole life and all your deeds, would disappear after death. I don't care whether Vespe stays or goes. I already cast detect alignment on him. He isn't evil anymore. If he was, I would have stabbed him when he first woke up.

Nora says in reply to Khiansa "I do not need an afterlife to know I must do good. I do not say I know if there is one or not - perhaps there is. But either way I know what I do here in this life is what truly matters. Morality and order need to be upheld, evil and chaos must not be left to run a muck."

Nora shakes her head. "It must have been an illusion of some kind. Magic is very strange in nature." She says, unbelieving.

"And I'm sure MAgtok exploded his base with a collumn of white HOLY energy that wasn't intended to kill me." *rolls eyes*

[Admiral_Kelly]

"What makes it holy?" Nora queries.

[Fan]

"The fact that my holy sybol burned my flesh right before the stripping of arcane power, and honestly do you REALLY think Magtok could rob me of that, only a god has that kind of pwoer."

((I agree... Lex and Turtle are reunited, so the flashback stuff is done.))

It cleansed him, Turtle said. I felt it happen. He was full of rage and fury, and then after she touched him, he was calm. The hatred was gone from him.

"You were only fooled into believing your power was taken from you. It is still there. You deny it because you fear what a monster you may become if you use it." She says.

"Dont be silly, my magic can be used for good, and I have proven it in the past, like when i was fighting the marines on War Island."

"What is believed to be real is real in its consequences," Turtle said, then looked surprised at herself for coming up with something so philosophical. "If Fanboy believes that he saw a goddess, and it has changed how he feels and how he acts, then there is some reality there."

"Yes, I suppose you are both right." Nora says, having to agree.

"I believe it was realer than that though. Objectively real. Because I've seen the butterflies too, though I've never seen the goddess.

Fanboy gives turtle one last super squezzing hug, and a kiss goodnight beforee he heads off to his room, then he walks back otu realsing that Vespe is in his coffin.
