The Island is where us, AMEN, and HALO are fighting. Some group called LAW asked me to be in it to, but I've never heard of them. And rumor has it NO is trying to come on a pirate ship, team up with AMEN, slaughter us and HALO, then bake a cake.

Meh. I'm not convinced that random fighting will get us anywhere. You can't fight these kinds of ideals.

I have a cunning plan though. I think we should maintain War Island, make it seem valuable and fun and keep fixing it up when they break it. It will act as flypaper for the nutters, and while they are busy killing each other there, they won't be hurting anyone who didn't consent.


And meanwhile, we only maintain a token presence there ourselves. Just enough to keep them from getting suspicious of War Island's true purpose.

And I'm really becoming more and more of the opinion that if anything is to be done against evil, direct fighting is the least effective way to do it.

I agree with you. Direct fighting isn't the answer, especially in a universe like this one where people are as powerful as their players want them to be. We need more subtle methods. Hence the flypaper.

Turtle fixes herself a Jack and Coke. The ostensible purpose of the island is what we spoke about last night with Magtok. She waves at Magtok's deadtimed form. To allow GLoG and AMEN to conduct a war. The 'true purpose' would be to keep them too busy to make trouble elsewhere.

It was probably plot, Turtle said, after thinking about it. Plot is the more powerful of the two, and also the more ubiquitous. The Rule of Cool generally only makes things happen during big action set pieces.

Better not. She looks ruefully down at her waistline. I'm carrying about 20 pounds more in this form than the one I wore yesterday. It's the one I wore in the ELoE. The Thoroughbred of Sin likes to party, and the food was just amazing. She takes another swig off her Jack.

I don't know. When I was in ELoE, I got drugs from Dr Horrible that let me control my shapeshifting. But once I stopped taking them, I settled into this cycle.

I don't know that this form is evil. But it seems to remember the past the most fondly. Like the parties. I don't think I would have told you about ELoE parties yesterday. Not that they are particularly evil--just people getting drunk and stupid--but just because I wouldn't have wanted to think about it. So I think, on the whole, I'd like to not inhabit it.
