Liis Parre- Evil

Mister Segith. Fair enough. We are known as the Secret Arm of Hecate, and we have many organizations all over Liis Parre. If you are to accept, we will of course be gad to have you join. We specialize in underground activity and we are enlisted by weathy clients throughout the continent. This manner of buisness, dungeon delving, as it's called, is a little unorthodox, but necessary. Putting it bluntly, our expetices are theft, blackmail, corruption and assasination. Of course, not everyone has need of these services, but we also have many more conventional rewards. Gold, jewels, et cetera.

"Well then, when do we go to this location of yours?

[AetherFox]

I'm glad you agree. The only known set of armor is currently locates in the Brittus mines, not far south from here. However, we have seen that the mine is being protected by the Izvor guards. Luckily for us, there is an alternate entrance. This map shows where it is, in relation to the actual mines. He hands a map to Brand This entrance has been concealed with a hollow stone some time ago, but we've enchented it to glow when one of your amulets draws near. You leave as soon as possible. The cover of night may help throw anyone off your trail.

[Gorgondantess]

Brand looks over the map again. "Interesting." He stands up. "Well, in which case, I would like to get to know my companions better. I beleive a round of introductions are in order." He walks to the center of the room, wearing a charming smile and flashing perfect white teeth. "I am Brand," he says, giving a slight bow.

[HempRope]

Bardic Knowledge yield anything else that might clue me in to where other armor might be?

Leigh

"Very good. I would, of course, like to work out the terms of our agreement before we embark," he says to Segith.

After Brand's bow, Leigh applauds softly, tapping his the fingers of his left hand on the palm of his right. He looks expectantly at the man standing alone in the center of the room.

[SilentNight]

Andarius
"As I said, I'm Andarius," he tips his head to the others. "I'm not sure I approve of this action but I'm sure whoever is affected deserves it."

[Slamexo]

Watching the others introduce themselves, Lorria does so again.

"I know I've already said it, but I'm Lorria and this is my wolf Angelo."

[HempRope]

Leigh

Leigh looks at Lorria and Andarius.

"Oh, is that all?"

He looks back to Brand.

"I assumed, since you had taken the floor, you were going to say something," Leigh says from his spot on the couch. "No matter. As you know, my name is Leigh Lithsayer. Nominally, an actor. At heart, an actor. Commercially, a bit of everything else."

He takes another sip of brandy. And, smiling, another.

"Pleased to meet you all, I'm sure."

[Gorgondantess]

"Of course I was," Brand replies, all courtesy. "But it seems you have something to say yourself, and I would hate to stop you. Please," He smiles, sits down, and gestures for Leigh to get on with his business. "Do tell."

[HempRope]

Leigh

"Oh no. I'm sorry. Since you stopped speaking, and they began, I thought you were done. But please, go on. In three short sentences I've shared more about myself than the rest of you combined."

In words, at any rate. Your actions speak loudly. Shout, really.

[Gorgondantess]

"Oh, well, if you insist. My main reason for taking the floor is to get to know the people I will be working with better. Group synergy is important at any function. However, we also need to work out some kind of plan. First of all, we need to decide when we shall leave." Brand smiles at Leigh, his voice masking contempt.

[HempRope]

Leigh

"Could I take a look at the map?" Leigh asks Brand, who doesn't seem to have taken a look at it.

"How long do you think it would take us to ride there?" he asks Segith.

[Gorgondantess]

"But of course," Brand says, giving the map which he had already examined to Leigh.

[AetherFox]

Segith ponders for a moment. "About four hours, maybe three if you hurry."

[HempRope]

Leigh

Leigh nods his thanks to Brand as he takes the map, and looks around at the others.

"I don't have any business to attend to in town. Could we leave in the morning, maybe an hour before sunrise?"

He bends his head to the map, hoping it details the surrounding area well.

[SilentNight]

"Anytime, anytime," Andarius says, "Earlier even if you lot are up for it. My apologies, I forget no everyone's been in the army."

[Slamexo]

Lorria gets a pouty look on her face.

"That early? I like to have my sleep-ins in the morning!"

She sighs to herself, but resigns to the early waking.

[HempRope]

Leigh

"It's probably better if we arrive by day. If nothing else, the glowing rock will draw less attention if the sun is out. Let's meet two blocks south of the West gate an hour and a half before dawn.

"Though if you'd rather go the day after, that's fine with me. I'm in no real hurry."

[SilentNight]

"Anytime." Andarius says, "I'll be there."

Dawn breaks on day one of your journy, and a rooster crows somewhere outside, muffled by the walls of the Anict Inn, through the window, you can tell that it's going to be warm and sunny, despite last night's chill. From downstairs, you can smell home cooking from the kitchen-go'ers, getting ready to feed their hungary guests.

Andarius is up even before the rooster breaks the silence of the dawn. After doing his morning callesthenics, he begins to get dressed. Tightening the straps on his chain shirt and lowering his pike, he passes through the door to the common room. He orders some bread, cheese and meat from the bartender and pays. He then heads out into the gloomy morning, impromptu breakfast in hand, and heads towards the gate.

Brand barely slept through the night, wracked with an insomniac half- sleep as usual. He woke up at dawn feeling sombre and angry, with the black rings around his eyes more prominent than usual. He walked out of his room at the inn chewing on dried meat, and heading for the gate dreading to have to deal with these imbeciles, but knowing that it would probably be worth it in the end.

Lorria

Having slept comfortably in the nearby fields last night (Not to the knowledge of the fields' farmers, however), Lorria almost slept in as she had intended to the last day were it not for a large beetle the crawled up her nose. Waking up in a splutter of sneezing, she looked around and spotted the sun breaking over the horison.

"Oh that's right, I was going to go hang out with those folks from last night wasn't I?"

Rousing Angelo from his own slumber, she headed off with him towards the town gate to meet up with the others.

Leigh

Leigh's a bit late, smiling ruefully but not hurrying unduly as he heads to the appointed street corner. He's expecting to see the other three waiting for him, but surprised to find only Andarius there.

I probably shouldn't be surprised. Shouldn't have such high expectations.

He nods his head to the soldier, offering a firm hand.

"Morning, man. Good to see you here."

He pauses for a moment, and smiles a bit.

"How long d'you think we'll be waiting for the others?

"You seem the sort a man can rely on. I don't mind sharing with you that I'm... not so certain about the others."

[Gorgondantess]

Brand arrives soon after Leigh, and gives him and the soldier a contemptuous grin, starting to rue his choice to work with them, but knowing it's for the best. "It seems we are still one short"

[SilentNight]

Before the others arrive, Andarius replies, "Good to see you too. Watch out for Brand inparticular. I know his type, never be alone."

Lorria

As she and Angelo arrive at the gate last to find everyone there, Lorria greets them all with a warm smile.

"Hey you guys, sleep well? Must say I had a pleasant nap, but a rather rude awakening!" She laughs to herself before waiting to head off with the others.

Leigh

"Here she comes," Leigh says, pointing to the figure skipping down the street towards them.

Why is she coming from the gate? he wonders.

"Well, with her around no one can think we're up to anything nefarious," he adds after a moment. "Let's go."

He leads the other two down the street, picking up Lorria half way to the gate.

"Well enough," he replies to her with a warm grin. "Glad you enjoyed your rest."

With that, Leigh heads out on to the road.
