    {OOC: FYI, Abby is a human female, unarmed and unarmored, though she has various magical clothing items (bracers, amulet, belt, gloves, vest, ring) What does Snore look like? How big, what carrying, etc?}

    Snore is an air-goblin wielding two scimitars and wearing padded armor.

    Surprised by the sudden appearance but safe from the strike, Snore avoids the kick.

    Snore takes a quick breath in and vanishes.

    Full attack on Abby. Unless she has some way of piercing the vanishing effect, her AC is, effectively, Flat-footed -2 and all attacks benefit from Sneak Attack damage.

    {According to MIC, Blind-Fight is not included in the list of things that don't work against the Ring. so No loss of Dex for AC for being invisible and no extra +2.

    Also, I seem to have forgotten (two matches in a row, no less) to declare a Dodge opponent.

    The difficult thing is that your first (and several others) attack missed. And she has a thing where she gets an AoO if your attacks miss that would affect all of the other attacks.

    (( Well, rolling one attack at a time would certainly draw the fight out. If that's what needs be, then so be it. Would make the entertainment last a bit longer, eh?

    What would you suggest we do for this round, then? Snore is invisible, so you'd get a reroll of the miss chance from Blind-Fight. You could roll and see if the AoO would hit, then the miss chance. If it does, then we can apply any penalties to the attacks after that. If not, then we just continue the attacks as normal.

    If you have Combat Reflexes, (and I can only assume you would, cause that's a nice ability) then we could continue the AoO rolls and the penalties retroactively applied, if they stack.))

    And Abby has SR so if the Acid and Electrical (and any of the other drains (STR/Level) are from magic enhancements to the weapons, we need to roll Spell caster checks vs. DC 25.

    Sneak attacks would not apply, you are correct.

    However, I don't believe that SR applies to weapon enhancements. We could defer to the DM/GitP boards for a ruling on this.

    The Dodge bonus is fine to apply. It's a pain in the rump to remember.

    Snore isn't damaged (yet ) so the Life Drinking crystal would not function.

    SR protects against spells and spell-like abilities, nothing else. If you were hit by a spell storing weapon, it might work against the spell stored in the weapon depending on what spell it is, and if a weapon enhancement specifically casts a spell (a Prismatic Burst weapon, for example) SR would also apply to that. Weapon abilities that do not cast spells, which is most of them, are not subject to SR.

    I read that SR applies to enhancement bonuses on weapons (+1, etc) but it did not mention special abilities additions. Since Acidic Burst and the other are spell-like abilities of the weapons, I thought they are subject to SR.

    Doesn't make much difference for weapons, it's only 1d6 here and there, but for the negative levels....

    So was the crystal of LD for the negative level, or was that something else?

    Also, since no sneak, no crippling strike?

    Eventually I will be able to tell you how much damage Abby received.

    {It's really sad. I think our arena needs and OCC thread.}

    Acidic Burst does not cast or duplicate a spell. It just deals extra damage with no spell involved.

    For a weapon ability to be subject to SR it must specifically say in the description of its effect that it works like a particular spell and the particular spell named must allow SR. Simply being similar to a spell or requiring a spell to make is not sufficient.

    I can't find that on SR, but if it does or does not makes a good bit of difference in this fight.

    Crystals of LD heal Snore when the weapon they're attached to do damage, if he's hurt that is. They have a max per day, but, no, they don't deal Negative levels. (They're from the MiC) Enervating is the ability that deals Negative levels on a crit. Paralytic Burst is the ability that would, in theory, paralyze someone on a crit.

    Correct, Crippling Strike is a function tied to Sneak Attack. You avoid that.

    I knew that Calculus II class would pay off one day.

    Abby flinches a bit then resolves to do better this round. She takes a deep breath and then begins a flurry of blows towards Snore.

    The first three attacks: Abby will attack with freezing the lifeblood until she hits (or misses all three). If she hits on one or two, she will attack using weakening touch until she hits (or misses through the third attack).

    The last two attacks are regular attacks even if the first three miss.

    Since Freezing and Weakening are limited to three per round and she loses a Stunning Fist each attempt I will always include that info in the roll text.

    Dodging some blows by mere hairs, Snore continues his twirling attacks under the cloak of his ring.

    Abbey feels the legs of Snore tangle as she sweeps er leg at the goblin. She smiles, vindicated that at last she has made contact with an opponent in these arena matches. She breaths a sigh of relief and hopes inside that she can continue this good turn of events.

    Though she's bruised, battered and bleeding a bit she attacks with renewed ferocity at the invisible goblin.

    The first three attacks: Abby will attack with freezing the lifeblood until she hits (or misses all three). If she hits on one or two, she will attack using weakening touch until she hits (or misses through the third attack).

    The last two attacks are regular attacks even if the first three miss.

    OK, from the looks of it the first counter-attack connected, so Snore is on his back. That makes his AC -4 vs Melee. (28, 22 Touch)

    The Freezing Lifeblood connects. Will - (d20+10)[22] (Need a nat 20 (30) to not freeze up.)
