    Default Chkdsk Utility?

So my computer, or more specifically my virus protection software is encountering a few errors and I keep getting prompts now and then saying I should run the chkdsk utility. (Don't worry I still got Avast! running)

Now I can remember running it before but I cannot for the life of me remember how to run it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    oh and I'm using Vista.

Window-r to bring up the Run menu. Type "cmd" to bring up a command prompt, and then "chkdsk" in the "DOS" window.

Not that I'm altogether sure that will work for you. (It doesn't let me run chkdsk on my Vista box.) Alternatively, right-click on the drive you want to check and Properties...Tools...Check now.
