Re: Ultimate Kaos II: Attack of the Epileptic Koans! [still recruiting replacements]
I heard rumors about this Lord Magtok and I think its best that I don't get on his bad side...
Freshmeat_on the other hand is going to win this game unless we stop him right now.
V@ Well we can lynch him anyway just in case.

Well, since it'll spare me from first day lynching (maybe), I'll have to go with PM and point at Jontom Xire.

Just two more people and we can have a majority before JX can do anything.
Now for some random-role play, please don't kill me for it...

Re: Ultimate Kaos II: Attack of the Epileptic Koans! [still recruiting replacements]
I don't think ending the day early is ever a good thing. For one it doesn't give the person a chance to defend themselves (if they happen not to be on at the time). Two it doesn't give a chance for people to change their minds, a big part of WW games. Finally, it could skew the auto-lynch results for other people who hadn't voted.
Let's just wait.Last edited by Reinholdt; 2008-09-18 at 10:08 PM.

Re: Ultimate Kaos II: Attack of the Epileptic Koans! [still recruiting replacements]
Now, here's my take on it.
We have 13 votes, and 8 of them are for Jontom Xire. If JX had already voted, and had a chance to say his piece, I'd totally end the day now. However, as Reinholdt said, you have to give people a chance to say their piece – or at least vote in their defense.
Day ends within the next 12 hours (or at least it had better, or we won't have an update until Saturday).Quote Of TheWeekWhenever I Feel Like Updating It (last updated 1/17/12)SpoilerOriginally Posted by Phase

Re: Ultimate Kaos II: Attack of the Epileptic Koans! [still recruiting replacements]
Hang on a sec, have we started yet?
I thought this was still the recruiting thread. It says "still recruiting replacements"!!
Hang on, let me go read the whole thread. From what I see fromt he previous few threads it looks like I'm about to be lynched! No fair!
It's bad enough dying early in other games, but in ones I invented?!? Very nasty!

Re: Ultimate Kaos II: Attack of the Epileptic Koans! [still recruiting replacements]
And now I've read it, I have to point at Lord Magtok in sheer self defence.
Come on people! What are you doing!
And just for reference, ending day early is always tricky because of the auto-lynchees. I only really do it once the game is fairly established and there is a really clear bandwagon. If I have a low vote count or it's really close voting I sometimes extend it.
Also, if you have a waiting list, then ending day early isn't fair to auto-lynchees unless you don't count that day towards the total in which case it becomes unfair on the people waiting.
And now for my plea.
Please all of you look at those who voted me. Don't vote blindly. There are bound to be groups of people who know each other. Unfortunately I'm not in one, so yes I am guessing a bit. Anyway as such, and especially with only 15 players, it becomes quite easy for even just 3 people to easily get a bandwagon rolling. Those who pushed to get me lynched are probably the people we need to lynch! I'd also like to make the following points:
1) My win condition has no opposition, which is to say that I feel no need to get anyone lynched or prevent anyone else from winning in any way.
2) In the first version of this game there was no requirement to lynch, just to vote, and a no-kill vote was perfectly valid. This game is probably the same.
3) In the first game there was no need for anyone to die at all to fulfill anyone's win condition. This game may be the same.
4) None of us have a clue what is happening. I think the best idea, as in one of EDKs games, is to not kill anyone on day one or at all until we have a vague clue as to what is going on.

Re: Ultimate Kaos II: Attack of the Epileptic Koans! [still recruiting replacements]
Interesting, my win condition is also obtainable peacefully and at the very least more people alive, means more targets who are not me. So Festy, will I get auto'd if I vote for no-lynch? I'm sorry about pushing the bandwagon, it was only because I thought it would be mildly funny if we had a majority before, you had a chance to even post.
