Regarding BE's level, what's the CR for a SSD? Killing that could have gained a lot of Exp. I'm more concerned about the banner suggesting that Thorgarth still hasn;t got to know his spell list well enough to know that Mending will take care of his socks to be honest.

Thunt actually said that the goblins didn't get any xp for the SSD because it was the shield that killed it.

Thanks for telling me. In that case, that Remove Disease could have just been connected to the armour which BE is wearing, unless the "Goblins is 3.0" theory is true (I'm not familiar with that edition to really comment on it).

I would like to point out that Big Ears being 3.0 Pally would not prevent the rest of the universe to be mostly 3.5. Thunt's already admitted that he uses house rules in his comic, at least with Thac0's Monk. (to make it suck less probably)

He also apparently has character sheets for the Goblins. But doesn't release them, because it would give too much away.

That's assuming he doesn't like mending his socks by hand, without having the laziness of using a spell to do it.

I had to chuckle at the how the shield was detroyed... it was classic DnD DMing. An item/artifact that is too powerful and unbalances the campaign meets a tragic end after it's used.

That's a possibility, Gez. (If any of my characters bothered with footwear, and they had magic, I'd just have them use Mending to save time to be honest.) It's a shame that Chief is the only spellcaster; if there was a Wizard in the group, they could take advantage of the ridiculous 3.0 version of Haste. I suppose we can always look forward to Chief using the 3.0 version of Righteous Might, though. What sort of homebrew rules do you guys think Thunt is using?

Since it's linked to his soul, I believe, and most of his soul is still intact, I'd imagine it would still be mostly the same, maybe slightly changed.

Just a warning to you Forumites; I checked Goblins for an update and found that their adserver is still using an ad linked to a .cn site used to distribute malware via a 0-day exploit.

The exploit, I believe, has been patched, but the ad is still up, so those of you who don't keep up the patches...

It looks as though Chief will need a bit of help to open the gate. Assuming the 4 other GAP members survive, he will be able to do it as long as Goblinslayer's ex-pet classes as 6 people. Finding the keys may be a problem as well, though.

It makes a difference. Because if they're meant for spies, then they're obviously a trap. (Insert paraphrased "Princess Bride" scene about knowing that they know that they know that they know that it's a trap, and therefore isn't.)

I thought it was a dig at all those ridiculously convoluted puzzles you get in games, especially computer RPGs. If the room had managed to incoporate a contrived Tower of Hanoi into the locking mechanism it would have been a perfect fit.
