Board Time is off
I have noticed that the board time is off. It is approximately 7 minutes off the Official United States Time every time I refresh the page. Could we please get this fixed.
I am posting from my IPhone 90% of the time. Please forgive any spellcheck errors.

Re: Board Time is off
Interesting, according to that my own computer's time is off by a couple seconds as well. Ummm, I think your gonna get flamed for being a little nitpicky. But if the fix is easy to do, I'd encourage a mod to go ahead and do it.
I'm curious though, what powers the time for this message board? Is it YaBB, or is it giantitp's own independant program? Just wondering.Veeratars Unite!

I think that occurrence even started its own Friendly Banter thread.

Re: Board Time is off
Ummm, you can change the timezone Durf, but that's not what we're referring to.
I guess if you want you can change the offset to 0.116666666666 (.1166 since only 5 characters are allowed). It'll get you close, but not perfect.Veeratars Unite!

Re: Board Time is off
I dunno', having the time be off by a few minutes, whether in my time zone or not, kinda' makes the site seem like it runs on its own time and all that. I think it gives it that Devil May Care attitude.
Actually, I just thought of that last statement (true as it may be), because before I saw the thread, I never really checked the time against my clolcks.

Re: Board Time is off
I've never really checked the time against my clocks either. But then again, since every clock in my house has a different time on it anyway I could really confuse myself. 8) I'd just leave it alone unless you check your time everyday against the atomic clock and reset your clock to it. Power surges and low batteries are a continual nuisence in time keeping too.
