Default 125 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 113

Super-weak units getting stacked bonuses is a fairly common element from Homm, but a massive stacks tends to all die instantly to a spell...

I have no idea how the presence of Jack/Jillian will change things. If anything this gives Stanley an advantage, since it fully knocks Jack back to his senses.

    Oh and First..:P

/cheer to Erfworld and to horrible, simply horrible wordplay that shall ensue with frequency hereafter.

Why aren't the dwagons blasting the bats with their breath weapons?
It's the Tool's turn so he should have been able to attack first?

Reckon all those dwagons breathin' fire and those pink bubbles would
bust a hole right through the bats to the Transylvito warlords dont'cha think?

    Still Stanley pwned!

    ...and whats Jack gonna do?

The art is particularly good today (I love the bats swarming the dwagons!), and the sound effects, as usual, are highly appropriate. Nothing new mechanically that I see, though. Just advancement of the scene. I can't wait to see what Jack's recovery means!

I would disagree. It told us abit about dance fighting.

And I quote somebody from another thread

her statement in the latest comic "Knights with Dance Fight bonuses" while making no mention of any such bonuses on the translyvito side leads me to the following conclusion.

When a fight starts, the defenders have an opportunity to initiate a Dance-Fight. Both sides make an attempt, and the winner gets a bonus. In this case, Stanley and The Knights's Rocking triumphed over Team Translyvito's showtunes.

Only that it gives a bonus. There's nothing from which to extrapolate anything like rules, is what I meant. We don't even know if the dance fighting bonus is enough to be the margin of victory for one side or the other.

How does it WORK?! Inquiring minds want to know!

Compos: Jack is officially healed. Sorry, the master Foolamancer great at casting distraction.

Van de Graaff ftw! It actually makes sense... heh

edit: wait, Jillian's expression.... does this mean that if she attacks Stanley she'll hurt Jack too? Can't tell if it's just surprise of him being there.

Transylvito, Masters of the Zerg Rush?

An RTS reference to be sure, but when bats eat dwagons, you get the urge to look over a shoulder and glance at their notes, y'know?

    Great comic.

I'm laughing at myself cause I didn't notice the Jack & Jill(ian) thing until the last panel of today's strip. Heh.

Van de Graaf? What a shocking turn of events.

Always amusing to see how Erfworld is grounded in things from current culture.

I suppose that Stanley's tactical options were to Charge, or maybe to Bolt?

Is there any way that Caesar could have the capacitance to survive such battery?

Now that Jack has recognized Jillian, do you think he'll offer Stanley some resistance? Or will he keep discharging his duty to Stanley so he can return ohm?

I can only see this thread polarizing the forum even more.

It's hard to see how the stakes could be amp'ed up any further.

Why do people say Stanley got pwned? He certainly doesn't look worried yet and even Tranyslvito seems to think it's going to be a close fight. Whither Jack wants to resist or not though his Duty is to Stanley and he can be erased with but a word. If anything, if Stanley promises to spare Jillian, then Translyvito is screwed.

And this thread rocked. The analysis of the combat was excellent really energizes speculation as to how the world works.

and i love the sound effects. i wonder if heavies can handle a couple hundred thousand volts.

I'm certain Transylvito is toasted now. Their forces were basically all eggs in one fake blonde basket, that basket being Borgia. They have no chance of survive. Oh, and resistance is futile!

So yeah, Stanley's one line was awesome. I really loved the artwork in the panel showing those two about to hit each other, by the way, as well as in the one after it. The best I've seen in a while, guys.

Also, Angband, you are marked for Death. ... He isn't around any more, is he?

Although Stanley is a poor faction leader and poorer strategist, he is probably a really really good warlord (Saline IV thought so) http://www.giantitp.com/comics/erf0087.html

    This proves it.

So continuing with the current trend, it seems that the Foolamancer has been shocked out of his current state of madness. The bats tried to buffer the attack but Stanly's shocking strength overloaded them.
