< The stirges that had started to settle <about 1/2 had> begin rising up again starting thier swarming all over again.
For the first hour of camping Tryielle guards over Phaedric and Hana moving a short distance off looking for larger brush and limbs to move and place over thier resting bodies attempting to camoflauge them some. >

Larry pull out his spyglass and looks to the cave the party had came out of.

"Aye, we must reach the others. Those bloodsuckers might've found a sweeter blood in 'em than this ole Dwarven mead runnin' through mine. A couple of 'em are not as well cover'd either...I fear they may have been easier targets." added Moogy.

"Did you see those ruins back there? Up North a bit?" he asked Larry. "It may be a bit'a shelter for 'em...if they survived, that is."

Moogy's expression hardened a bit more, and his legs pumped a bit faster, to keep up with the quick Elf.

"Hey, whadd'ya see in that lookin' glass ya got there?"

Phaedric soon falls comatose in a healing sleep.

He is in the throne room. A peasant is appealing to the king, something about how his neighbor's cattle were grazing on his land again. Phaedric yawned. Business as usual, he thought to himself. He caught Julia shooting a flirty smile at him. He almost smiled back, until he realized where, and who, he was. She's the princess, and I'm just a guard. I'm barely a paladin. A bitter taste filled his mouth, and his mood darkened. Business as usual. The morning wore on.

< Tyrielle fights sleep as she hears the sounds of the sitrges again. she checks the camoflauge and adds a few things here and there before settling in again.

Some smaller sections of stirges start to peel off from the mass grooping above in thier standard Dive pattern>

As the last of the daily influx of citizens filed out of the throne room, some happy, some angry, Phaedric relaxed. The danger after nightfall was very minimal, and it was now dusk. Suddenly, the captain of the town watch barges in, and falls to one knee in front of the king. "Your Majesty, we're under attack!" The warning horns wail, and screams erupt all through the city, and through the castle! Phaedric drew his sword, just as the invaders crashed through the giant oaken doors. No! Not here, not now! This isn't happening, Phaedric's mind screams. But he jumps into action, just as he'd been trained.

Phaedric's face contorts in a strange expression in his sleep. It seems part fear, part rage, part confusion, and part...something else.

Larry stops right in his tracks and pulls out his tent and start to make a tarp with the poles. Then graves his backpack and tosses it to the dwarf and says “take this go meet up with the others. There is a old man at the intro of the cave. I’m going to go save his butt before those things eat him alive. I’ll move faster with out the gear. I’ll meet up with you after I save that fool.”

OOC: I think this is where I'm supposed to post...

Skipveig looks out from the cave across the forest. What a strange land this is he thinks to himself, and climbs out of the cave, stretching his limbs and blinking in the light.

Phaedric stirs, and twitches slightly in his sleep.

Three of the invaders rush in, and charge headlong toward the king, ignoring everything and everyone else. The leader lops off his head as the two flanking him plunge their swords into his torso.

Phaedric watches in horror as his king is decapitated, blood founting everywhere. Julia lets out a shriek of horror and flees the room, tears pouring down her cheeks and her dress stained with blood.

The leader of the invaders turns to him, and with a menacing snarl, says, "Leave! Your king is dead, the guards are dead, and you will be dead as well." He lets out an inhuman cackle, and his two lackeys gesture toward Phaedric threateningly.

Overcome with panic, Phaedric turns and flees the room, without a second thought. Pure terror fuels his legs as he runs, non-stop, out of the castle, out of the town, and many miles past, out to the forest, where he collapses. He looks back toward the town. All he sees is an orange glow on the horizon, and he knows they must be burning the castle, and possibly the rest of Tir-Na Nog as well.

Out of the shadows, a figure seemingly cloaked in darkness approaches. Pheadric's world spins, and quickly turns black.

"Ya sure ya don't want me to run with ya? I can fend off those pesky blood-suckers pretty good...my tough skin is a pretty good match for 'em."

("I just wish my axe would've been as good a match back there the first go 'round") he thinks to himself.

Seeing the Elf rushing away from him, and realizing he's holding Larry's backpack, Moogy answers his own question:

"Aye...meet ya back on the West side there, Elf." Moogy replies to Larry.

Moogy grabs Larry's pack and continues on West, following the treeline close enough to use it as cover, if need be.

< the 2 small swarms that had broken off seam to hover in the air for a moment before resuming thier dive twords the western forest. upon reaching it they begin to bank west heading twords Skipveig Sturlonson who stands at the exit to the cave.
Skipveig Sturlonson will see to his right <east> there is a forest in the distance and the small forms diving twords it.
ahead of him <north> another forest off in the distance it also appears there may be a road before this forest.
to his left <west> is yet another forest.
all 3 of the forests look diffrent.. the trees in the northern forest almost seam evenly placed. the forest to the east looks almost like the trees themselves are moving as if in a strong wind. the forest to the west appears wild and overgrown.
When lookin from north to west about halfway between you see a lone figure running twords you. in the distance.

Tyrielle continues guarding over those members she reaches out and feels Phaedric's pulse to make sure he's ok in his mumblings. afraid that the noise may attract some of the denisins of the forest she shakes him trying to break him from his obvous bad dream

Larry running to the old man, Larry starts to scream “come to me as fast as you can and follow me or die by that swarm that’s over you.” Larry thinks to himself {man I hope this is worth it for me.}

Skipveig looks confused but, deciding that he has no reason not to follow the running, shouting person, stumps off after the newcomer as fast as he can.

Skipveig Sturlonson still a ways from the lone figure running at him from the northwest will see, as he approches closer that he is wearing a mask, has violet eyes. upon gathering together, <supposed to take 3-4 posts from the angle Larry approched at.> Skipveig Sturlonson will notice Larry has a partialy opened camping tent in his hands.

One group of sirges continue thier approch homing in on Skipveig Sturlonson, while the others branch off and aim at Larry trying to close the distance as he continues to run twords the cave.

The Swarm its self now begins its dive mimmicing the actions of the two prevous groups heading first twords the western forest.

Tyrielle closes her eyes in meditation and enteres a light reverie listening for any out of the ordinary sounds.

Moogy, having reached the West line, stops and looks around, attempting to see if he can see the rest of the party from where he is.

If he can't see the other in the woods here, then he will wait for Larry and the person Larry went to go get at the cave entrance.

If Moogy does see the others from where he is, then he will go to their location.

Larry keeps moving for the new person.

< Larry and Skipveig Sturlonson are now verry close to each other <go ahead and discribe your selves> The stirges have reached the eastern forest and are begining to fly to the west twords you 2, they would have reached you sooner however you ran away from them so gave your self a little more time to get away.

your avenews of escape at this point appear to be to the north and the forest with the fairly regular tree placement, or to the west to the wildly overgrown forest.

Skipveig is a tall old man clad in mail with greying, once-red hair. He runs quickly, for his age. As he reaches Larry he hails him in a loud voice.

Are we still alive here folks? Just curious. I know the holidays wreak havoc on schedules, mine included, so maybe it's just slowed down....anyone?

Phaedric's world spins, and he experiences a curious sensation of moving very fast, but while standing still. It feels as though...time....is rushing past him. He sees a black canvas, with pinpricks of light all around him; some much larger and brighter than others, some different colors, some spinning around others, some exploding in huge displays of cosmic energy.

Everything turns white, and then seemingly random scenes play out before his eyes.



He sees a beach, and a strange creature, fat and blubbery with two long tusks dressed in a strange suit jacket, walking along with a man dressed in carpenter's clothing, and what seem to be strange anthropomorphic oysters. There is sunlight on half the beach, and darkness, illuminated by the moon, on the other half. He catches a few bits of conversation. "The time has come," the creature said, "to talk of many things; of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings." The scene fades away, and another setting appears.

Larry starts to turn around. Larry gets right next to the old man and start to pull the poles to the center so it covers them the best it can. "start running as fast as you can" larry starts to run back keeping up with the old mans pace.

Skipveig runs as fast as he can, trying to keep pace with Larry.

The Stirges continue comming quickly gaining on the lone 2 running through the clearing they circle looking for the scent of bare flesh but it being covered by both armor and the thick hide of the tent they continue to circle.

The Horde above seams to notice that its precieved pray would be away long before it could arive so it begins to again take rest in thier nests.

"That was a close one lad, thank you," says Skipveig

Larry just nods his head to the old man. { I still hope this was worth my time} larry thinks. " Keep moving as fast as you can." larry tells the old man.

Skipveig continues following Larry's lead.

The 2 groups of stirges seeing the northern forest coming closer decide to break off they fly up and away back twords the cliff face.

Moogy steps out from the tree line at the edge of the northern forest.
"well lad, it appears you made it back with them n' no sign of pincushinin either well done. now if only we had the rest of the group with us we could head on to that forest and rest. seams there may be some method to your mad'nes there so i'll folow your lead on gathering up our lost members" he looks over the new arival as soon as Larry takes down the tarp. then turns and looks at the wildly over grown forest waiting for Larrys course of action.

The other party continues to sleep or reverie respectivly withen the forest so little noise and with the camoflauge there is little chance of encounters for them while they wait.

Larry turns to moogy. puts out his hand "my back pasck please."
Larry then starts to roll up his tent and put it back in the spot it had came from on the side of his backpack. Then turn back to moogy " Shall we got get the others now?"
