Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
Day 6 ends!
*thunderstorms*
The rain returns.
The group, wet, tired and frustrated, have had enough. One man has enough energy to point at another.
"You, sir, are not one of us."
"What are you talking about? I've been a member of the Rhipidon Society for ages! He's the spy!" He points at another man.
"I agree with the first man. You are not familiar."
Another voice joins in.
"Well, I agree with him! It's you who we should oust!"
This continues for a while, until, from the middle of nowhere, a man pulls a gun and fires a single shot.
The crowd stops, and drops, covering their heads.
The man flees.
As the crowd slowly gets up, they notice that one man doesn't.
Many gasp, and begin to give the corpse space, out of respect.
At least, they do, until they notice the pills in the man's hand...

Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
Ummm, Vampiric, I think EvilDMMk3 should have been auto-lynched...AGAIN!
I'm not sure about Day 1, but otherwise his voting record looks like:
Day 2: Didn't vote.
Day 3: Didn't vote.
Day 4: Didn't vote.
Day 5: Only voted because I pointed out that he hadn't voted for 3 DAYS IN A ROW.
Day 6: Didn't vote.
Day 7: Didn't vote.
So out of the last 6 days he has only voted once. That's an average of once every 3 days and you have a 2 day auto-lynch rule. How coem he gets special treatement? I don't see an away notice posted anywhere.
Anyway, in case I die overnight:
Recaiden: Look at day 4. We lynched Banjo, but Shades of gray also had 7 votes. The last three votes were Mustiado (dealer), Recaiden, and Griever(Dealer alpha) in that order. Days 2, 5, and 7 were also odd. I don't have records for day 6.
EvilDMMk3: Keeps escaping auto-lynch. Never votes except when he absolutely has to to not get auto-lynched.
Mordokai: Still suspicious for all the reasons stated before.

Night 7 ends!
Lightning flashes, the thunder rumbles, light arcing and rolling across the grey sky.
Two men are silhouetted against the white blue streaks.
Ah. It's nice to finally meet you.
I wish I could say the same.
Oh well. It's not like I need your approval anyway. I assume that you have guessed my loyalties by now? No matter. Basically, we have decided that we have no more use for you.
What does that mean? I've been against you all along!!
Ah, but you see, by acting as yourself, we could predict and shape your actions. But, your time here has run it's course. Goodbye.
No-one heard the crack of the gun over the roar of thunder.

Thanks, dealers. Your night kills just make my job even easier. I only have one top suspect now and that's Recaiden.
I'd also like to say that three in a row is a record for me I think, apart perhaps from WW V where we had the werewolf list and so knew who they all were. I think it might be a record for anyone. Anyway, let's see if we can make it four in a row.

Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
I've been reviewing the voting for some other people. IceDragons' point on day 4 was as suspicious as Recaiden's for the same basic reason. Hero 1.0's point on Day 5 (he didn't point on day 4) was suspicious for the same reason.
Just thought I'd throw that in there. I still think Recaiden is the most suspicious for other reasons though.
I'm also wondering how many dealers are left? There were only three masons, I thought with three dealers dead that the game would end. It didn't. There can't be more than two dealers left though, surely. Unless they can recruit and it's not in the rules.
11 players left alive unless I miss my count. So a one or two in ten chance of finding a dealer randomly.

Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
Day 8 Ends!
The rain finally stops.
Later, some said it was a sign. Some dismissed it as a coincidence.
Some said that VALIS did it, or made us think that the rain had stopped.
Either way, it was a welcome break from the soaking the crowd had received from before.
As they marched on the High Castle that the government hid in, they found that someone was a little too uneasy.
"It seems we have not rid ourselves of this parasite that hides among us. It is you, Recaiden, who are dragging us down. You must be removed."
"Falsehoods! I am more opposed to the government's machiations than you, Jontom! However, I think the true culprit here is Iceddragons!"
Jontom Xire smiles. The dying efforts of a wolf amused him so.
The rest of the crowd sides with Jontom.
"We cast you out, Government Agent. Be thankful we did not take your life!"
Not that it made much difference, he knew. He had failed. That was more than enough reason for the Government to remove his identity from the face of the Earth....
The Rhipidon Society made it's way to the entrance, expecting resistance. There was none.
Are we being deceived? Are they waiting to ambush us?
They moved cautiously through the halls, covering all the rooms as they went.
They finally came to a room that was on it's own, and unchecked by anyone there.
They opened the door, only to find a single, elderly man, looking out the window.
"I should have known you would all make this journey. I expected that by taking out the leaders, I could reduce this rebellion to nothing. I had not counted on your force of will."
Some of the crowd are speechless. Some start to try and speak.
"Please, let me say my piece, before you decide what to do.
As you may have guessed, I am the Government. The President, the Secretary, the Shadow Cabinet, the Opposition. All of them are me, and I am them.
Many years ago, I saw the cruelty our Nation was dealing to itself. I could not decide how to reverse this damage.
I suddenly found myself in a position of power. I rose through ranks, gaining allies, making enemies.
I found that reason would not move people to making decisions that would benefit them. I ordered rules and legislation in place that would force them into the decision. Obviously, some resented this oppression, despite the fact that it was for their benefit.
Some felt that a comfortable life was preferable to causing trouble. They made the necessary changes, and made things better. Of course, the dissenters were causing more and more problems. I had to remove them if our future was to be secured.
I used the police force to deal with those making problems. This just meant some, like yourselves, tried even harder to break my grip.
Eventually, there was a kind of status quo. I was able to relax my grip, without causing problems, and used the media to keep people feeling secure.
Then, some scientists found what you know as 'Death', or 'Substance D'. Initial testing showed almost no side-effects, but a slight decrease in active thinking. This was perfect. Using carefully placed dealers, I could get most of the population under it's influence in under 6 months. The ideal solution - I could loosen my grip, free the media slightly, and let people have a bit more choice - within reason.
The problem came about 4 months later. Some of the initial test subjects were showing signs of addiction, as well as severe cases of chemical schizophrenia.
I couldn't stop the production of the drug - as I had no immediate influence over the production company, so instead I passed a law making it illegal, and putting a heavy sentence on those caught. I found that those who were addicted were easily influenced, and could be used for my advantage.
This is where you all come in. I had realised I had made some mistakes. But I couldn't admit this to the general public - and I absolutely couldn't admit the scale of the problem - it would cause a mass panic, which would be worse than anything I had created so far.
I thought that if I stayed on the course I had made, things would eventually get better. And then groups like yours started to spring up. None made it very far, except for yours. I always wondered what it was that made you all so capable.
Now I know.
I do not know how to proceed from here. I do not believe there has been a precedent with which to base our decisions on.
Of course, I hold the immediate future, of the country, and of me, to all of you."

Re: Black Iron Prison: A Phillip K. **** WW game (Game Thread)
Wow. A straight 5 days, 5 wolf lynched win. Impressive.
I was dead wrong about Murska and I never would've expected Griever to actually pick his friends. But I was right about Banjo and Recaiden. Though I doubt Jontom actually needed my help there. He probably could have found them all on his own this game.
Oh and apologies to Lex-kat. I scried you night one because I was hoping to get you more involved in the game after none of the masons talked to you in classic. Even if you had scried as a wolf, we would have left alive for a couple days, but getting rid of the devil was too valuable. Sorry again.

This game wasn't so fun. Never once did we have a chance. Wasn't the narrators' or the settings fault but villagers just got quite lucky a couple times and that was that.
