    Default Uruk-Hai (monster/race)

    Inspired by the orc music that plays while the Uruk-hai are running all-day in a cross-country pursuit getting stuck in my head...


    Uruk-Hai
    The uruk-hai are a type of orc magically enhanced long ago by breeding in some human, and possibly elven or dwarven blood. They were bred and selected for increased strength and endurance. The changes also removed some of normal orcs deficiencies as fighters, making them cannier and deadlier opponents. Whoever was responsible for their creation no longer walks the world as their master. However, Uruk-hai are often found acting in the service of a more powerful evil being (especially one with considerable arcane power).

    Uruk-Hai possess the following racial traits.

    An Uruk-Hai’s base land speed is 30 feet.
    Darkvision out to 60 feet.
    Allowed to ignore armor speed penalty for medium armors
    Bonus feat: Endurance
    Automatic Languages: Common, Orc. Bonus Languages: Dwarven, Giant,
    Gnoll, Goblin, Undercommon.

    Favored Class: Barbarian.
    The Uruk-Hai warrior presented here had the following ability scores

    before racial adjustments: Str 13, Dex 11, Con 12, Int 10, Wis 9, Cha

    Not bad. It could use some formatting, but this is a good start. You might want to look here for another look at the Uruk-hai.

    3d10+3 hd and it ends up with 8 hit points?!

    Fixed, thanks.

    I don't like the LOTR Uruk-hai linked above very much...they are supposed to be an upgrade to normal orcs, not same-old same-old.
