Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
I guess the question is whether or not Ansom (or any other leader in the coalition) knows how Croakamancy works, so they will even be aware they have the option of waiting until those uncroaked units just collapse by themselves (assuming Ansom has the patience to do so)
Oh it is the eyeball one.

Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
Is it just me or does the Archenhammere in frame 5 and, to a lesser extent, frame 3 look very... digital? Like it was a copy and paste image from another picture?
I don't remember it looking so grainy before. Is this something new, or a fluke?Check out a bunch of stuff I wrote for my campaign world of Oz.

Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
A most excelent distraction from my latin studies.
I'm thinking that Stan is going to be a mite peeved at Wanda on his return. Being the rash and quick to unleash his ire type of guy this could be bad for her, Parson and GK, thus bringing Parson in on her side as her defender touting her force multipliying talents.
As for the deal with Charlie..... I can't see that going down at all well.
OOOOOO thought, can Stanley force Parson to break the deal?

Seems that, when sane, every caster in Gobwin Knob but "the turd guy" has well-honed Stanley-management skills.

Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
EXCELLENT comic.
Answered a lot of questions, very good art, and good punch-line joke.
Good news:
-Hamster just dealt a severe moral blow to the Coalition.
-Hamster bought some turns.
-Tool is alive and returning.
-Wanda rocks big time.
Bad news:
-Only six dwagons left. Pity.
-They still need to find a way out of the mess.
My previews:
-The tool will be much more humble from now on and learn to listen more carefully to those around him.
-Ansom has his days counted. He gotta answer for his epic fail.
-The coalition will not attack next turn, but will attack before the uncroacked pass away, because either Hamster will come up with some plan to put them against the wall or something else will happen.
Wich reminds me, can the Tool return to Gobwin Knob if Charlie is blocking the air zone?

Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
It looks like Wanda didn't spend additional time on Webinar or Dora. It would have been nice to get them up and running so there were additional warlords, but if Wanda did not have that time to spare, well, that's how it goes.
Six dwagons left. I wonder whether they nailed any warlords.
Also, the 'time and attention' might help explain the part where she's playing with the archon and unipegataurs. She could focus on them being good quality.Last edited by drachefly; 2008-10-29 at 08:49 AM.

Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
I seem to recall a comment that the Arkenhammer was generated in just such a manner to give it an "otherworldly" appearance, but don't remember enough details to find the thread.
It doesn't look particularly "grainy" to me, though the contrast with the rest of the artwork looks a bit more pronounced than usual (because it's against a clear blue sky background and isn't throwing off any sparkly effects at the moment, perhaps).

Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
We know he took some of them from Faq. And I had the impression that Banhammer was willing to devote the resources necessary to securing the best quality casters.
Maggie though was one of Saline's. She seems to be damn good on her own. Misty we never really had a chance to see as anything other than a brick in the wall, and with Sizemore, I get the impression that he's a bit of a disappointment in the casting dept.

Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
Thanks for the post.
I was surprised by the strategem though.
I was expecting them to tunnel underneath Ansom's stack collapse it and capture the Coalition leader to facilitate fracturing the coalition and, of course, getting the arkenplyers (implied by his conversation with Charlie).
Maybe later eh? =) The two strategies aren't exclusive after all.Last edited by E^G; 2008-10-29 at 08:55 AM.

'Cause this is Thriller! Thrill the Niiiight...

Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
Huh... Parson now has a fairly large number of troops that are A> Expendable, and B> Quickly degrading. Somehow I see them being used for the brunt of any sorties against siege or other targets of opportunity. I wonder if Webinar and Dora still count as warlords? If so, Parson can use his "hit a stack, kill the important stuff, and retreat" strategy with those two.
Also, Parson has pretty much told the coalition that they have to take GK in a single turn at this point. Otherwise, they'll see all of both side's losses raised as a low quality uncroaked wave to be sent right back against them...SpoilerAvatar is of Niamh, my privateer wizard, holding her Letters of Marque and Lesser Rod of Empower Spell (yes, it looks like a fan). Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
Hmm...
Ansom is was very angry at Parson before he lost a thousand troops in the tunnels.
Ansom is faced with a forification full of undead, standing between him and victory.
Ansom has a powerful, anti-uncroaked artifact.
Stanley is going to be arriving back at GK in a turn or two, on a dwagon.
I see a big, climactic battle on the wall coming up.If a tree falls in the forest and the PCs aren't around to hear it... what do I roll to see how loud it is?
Is 3.5 a fried-egg, chili-chutney sandwich?

Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
Heh, so he was heading back towards Gobwin Knob (albeit accidentally). And now he understands something more of Jillian and Wanda...
I'm supprised no ones tried to interpret the foolmancers words yet. "Love is the wisdom of the fool and the folly of the wise". Whom is he referring too? Himself, Jillian and the former King of Faq perhaps?
He still has to pass through the archons to reach Gobwin Knob. Will Charlie try and stop him, or steal the Hammer?Last edited by SteveD; 2008-10-29 at 09:25 AM.

Re: Erfworld 128 The Battle for Gobwin Knob, Page 116
Hmm...Here's the real question. What's Stanley going to do? Hopefully, he'll look around and see how well Parson's doing, and say "Good job, we might be able to win!"
However...That's if Stanley has learned anything. It's just as possible that Stanley'll arrive, and say, "What're you doing in my chair? Why are all the Zombies just sitting there? We attack now!"

Ahh, i hadn't even considered that.
Stanley - ''Hey, um... that was the same barbarian we had captured before, right?''
Since he's directing the question at Jack and expecting an answer it implies that Jack was aware Jillian had been a captive on occasion. Interesting.GENERATION 19: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig and add 1 to the generation. This is a social experiment.
