I think I've got this.
Riding a giant eagle looks 'silly'. Vikings were not a silly people. Therefore it is an insult to them to be considered 'silly', and to all their descendants.

There's also Viking Metal if you're interested (Try Turisas), and if you start getting into that, I would seriously suggest searching Celtic, Folk and Pagan Metal (Eluveitie).

Because unlike other ganre's of music, Metal isn't afrade to mix itself with other ganre's and and experiment with different sounds. I mean, what other ganre of music would mix itself with opra?
Though I would agree, some are un-necessery and silly given by people who think they're vlever untill it get's to the point where there's one band per ganre...

To everyone who is not apparentlty being overly sensitive: How about the 'Vikings'--although I'll give some ground to Keveak, they wouldn't really be 'Vikings' since they wouldn't be riding ships and coming from Denmark, Germany, or other places in Scandinavia (I singled out Germany because I have a lot of German blood, and yet I can still come up with ways to bring Vikings into Avbaroy in reasonable ways that make sense)--normally ride in airships that are very similar to the Viking ships on Earth, but ride giant eagles when attacking.
