GLoG X: More like Good League of.. of.. Crazy

Seeing that Fan has been afflicted with deadtimitis, Turtle teleports him, and herself, to their room, where hopefully no psychics will follow them.

Melody and her troup of protectors are in the Rose Garden.

She's practicing some martial arts manuevers she learned from watching Kris, Khiansa, Fanboy, Czernov, and Wenomir doing.

Turtle releases George from custody, after removing his access to the Spork of Power and the armoury. She then disappears from the base and merges with the Turtle at the welcome centre for continuity purposes.

George showers and changes, into a royal blue button down shirt and black jeans. He's lost enough weight by this time that he's now at the upper end of the healthy range for his height and build.

He packs a back and goes to find Czernov. Mrs S is with him.

Czernov's in his room, looking through the main camera data with a look of confusion on his face.

"Hello, Czer," George says quietly.

[Kaelaroth]

Hello George. I am sorry I did not come and see you, but, you know. You were probably busy with your hellbent psychotic other lovers, no? Czernov says, calm, before adding By the way, someone has deleted many scenes of us together. I can only find things of us as friends, and us as a couple. What I remember as the transition has been deleted by a member, or infected, and eradicated, by a ThunderStrike virus.

"I just came to say goodbye. I don't know if I'll be coming back."

[Kaelaroth]

Czernov's expression is stiff. ... Should you return, let me know. Call me, if you can, from wherever you get to. Let me know you are safe.

"I'm sorry."

[Kaelaroth]

What is done is done. You can not change it now. For some reason, although I don't want to, I love you. So much. It is like a spell, as if cast by a god, running through my mind. Know that. But... You... And him. Czernov's face contorts, for a second.

"I never stopped loving you. I'll probably always love you. But this... you can't forgive me. So I shouldn't be here." He looks down, thinking for some time, trying to decide on the words. "I think... I think you should know what Alek is--was--to you."

[Kaelaroth]

What? Czernov looks as if he was about to chuck an insult in there, but doesn't merely lies back on his sofa, and waits for George's response.

Melody is in the Rose Garden, practicing her new martial art. Smurf-Fu.

"He's you. Or this universe's version of you." George shoves his fingers through his hair. "I don't know if that means you have the potential to become a psychic or have a mental meltdown or what. You might understand it better than I do. But I thought you should know."

[Kaelaroth]

Czernov blinks. Gets up. Walks out the room, without another word.

A few minutes later, Melody may see him walk into the rose garden, and throw up heavily, and loudly, into a bush, before going back inside.

Melody smiles. Hi.... Czernov. Eeewwww.

((*sigh* And you couldn't have vomited in the toilet instead of holding it in until you went up the stairs, through the great room, out into the rose garden, and over to the bushes?))

Turtle sends drones over to clean up the vomit and dig up the contaminated soil so that there won't be a dead patch there in the spring.

George leaves GLoG, without taking leave of anyone else. There's just a short note attached to the fridge to say goodbye.

Wenomir leaves his room and starts to patrol the GLoG base, looking rather bored. He's not wearing his armor, just a shirt underneath the cloak.

When Czernov returns to his room, he'll find a letter from George:

I never understood why you loved me. I was always afraid I would wake up to find that it had all been a dream. Now that's what I wish for, because that would mean that I'd never hurt you.

I have a communicator with me. I'll come back if you ask. Even if it's just so you can punch me in the face and yell at me. If there's anything you want from me, it's yours.

Czernov carefully puts the letter in his bedroom cabinet, and lies back on his bed, to think.

Libulel, the fairly handsome young adult, with the brown curls, and blue eyes, a new member, is now clean, but still in his dusty, archaic clothes. He's looking about the kitchen with awe.

[Morty]

Wenomir notices the newcomer during his partol. Hello there. I don't think I've seen you before. Are you new here?
(For reference, Wenomir is a tall, wiry and thin man with gaunt red eyes and impressive collection of scars on his face)

[Kaelaroth]

Libulel turns round, and looks bashful. Yes, sir. My name is Libulel, I only came here a few hours ago. He's wearing dusty green leggings, worthless and cruddy looking Ancient-Greek style sandals, and a rusty brown, torn, tunic.

[Morty]

Hm. Well, I hope you'll enjoy your stay here. I know I'm enjoying mine, it's a nice place if sometimes a little bit wacky. And it gets attacked from time to time.

[Kaelaroth]

Libulel nods. My grandfather did say this place was rather unsafe, but I imagine it will be safer than my hometown. He opens the fridge. Wow, um, it's cold!

Susan, who was there all along, smiles at him. "You're from a low tech world too, then? My home didn't have refrigeration either. I'd love to take one of these back to my sister, but I'm told that it wouldn't work there."

[Morty]

I admit all those machines here confuse the heck out of me, too. Magic, I can understand. But a box that freezes everything in it?

[Kaelaroth]

Yes, miss. Libulel says, smiling. This... refridgeration machine would be loved by my mother's people. They're river folk, and it gets darned warm in the summer. He turns to Wenomir, and gulps a little. There's lots of magic, here?

Susan looks puzzled. "I thought the cold box was magic. It's just a different kind of magic that has to be pulled out of the walls." She goes over to the fireplace and gets the Spork of Power. "Now this is more like the kind of magic I remember from the stories my governess read me. You wave a wand and make things appear."

She waves the spork and creates some new clothes for Libulel. With the experienced eye of a woman who used to make clothing by hand, she should have been able to make it to fit him perfectly. There will be one set in the style he's wearing now, one in Regency style (and therefore quite silly looking) and a set of modern casual clothing (jeans, trainers, etc). "These are for you."

[Morty]

You have no idea, lad. People cast powerful spells around here all the time. But there's also a lot of this "technology" here. I'm getting to like those machines by the way, they seem more reliable than magic. I woder if someone here could make me a new armor, by the way...
