    NRE response on the attack

The NRE will begin a full investigation of the incident and interrogation of the crews captured to discern who is responsible for this heinous attack. If the faction for this grevious offense steps forward now and takes responsibility for the attack we will take it easy on them and just ask for reperations. If we are forced to dig out the truth, the consequences will be grave.

The Office of the Consul would also like to state that it does not believe that the UAL was responsible for the attack at this time as that would be a direct violation of the Non-Aggression Pact existing between our nations.

Ozymandius Camorr, here with the play by play. Sergeant Major Alsa has graced us with her presense for the analysis. Alright everybody, it's now week eight of the ACBL season. Today we've got a match between Minotaur squad, at an incredible 6 and 1 and 1 record, against Hydra, at 5 and 3. Alsa, thoughts?

Well today is really going to be an intresting match. Not only will this be the first one where the instructors will not be helping the teams plan tactics, we've also got a special suprise. Now, onto calling it. Minotaur is the favorite but I'm going to say that Hydra has a good shot at this. Their heavy emphasis on medium range weaponry and flexibility, plus the factor of the team planning thrown in, I'd say that they can grab this. Minotaur drew the defence in this situation, full spin on the G's by the way, a luxery resort and an escort to protect and I think they really need to just hunker in and hold on. It'll be hard though, Hydra's got a whole lot of entry points. Minotaur will be playing with a new toy, from the lab of Andrew Winters, a vertigo inducing turret that bypasses armor. Since it's a nonleathal we aren't even going to tone down the power.

    Oh, and Minotaur's setting up.

Looks like they're putting out, trying to keep Hydra off at the perimiter. Mistake?

Well, as I said, Hydra's got some accurate shooters out there, and the Minotaurs are spreading themselves thin to cover the whole surface. I think it's going to be a real learning experience tonight.

You're already calling it done? Hydra's not even here.

Most battle are determined before the first shot is even fired. Right now it's a contest to see how Minotaur loses. Remember, for all of our talk of records, scoring is based on enemies killed or wounded, players survived, and objectives completed. And now... yeah, Hydra's coming out.

For those of you watching at home, keep an eye on Hydra's number 5 and 4, the Brothers Grin. They don't always put out well statistically, but when a gamechanging kill is on the line, you can bet the Brothers are going to be there making it. Here we go, shoots fired. Hydra's number three, Julius B, is taking sniper fire from Minotaur's sniper, no. 11, Jason Griggs. And... we have the first kill of the match. Jadon Griggs is hit by a two four round bursts right to the faceplate from Hydra's number 2, Alison Oz, peeking out behind cover.

Case in point Ozy. With another Minotaur out there, Julius would be down, and Alison up behind cover. I'm going to have to talk to Leo about how he's been coaching these kids.

And so the battle rages on, but Hydra's two or three man teams punch into the resort and finish off the Minotaurs in detail. As the battlefield tightens directly around the hostage Minotaur begins to perform better, especially with the turrets aimed down the halls. Never the less, Hydra comes out of it with 9 players standing, 2 'wounded' and the escort, with all tangos down.

    The Split of Yggdrasil

Yggdrasil announced a splitting of itself today, in a controversial action.

In short, it intends to let the vast majority of it's civilian and economy holdings released as a separate nation. This nation will have the monikor of Pandora, like it had in the past.

Yggdrasil officials explain that Pandora will be officially a sovereign nation, but will have no official military at the moment, being protected by Yggdrasil's military, which will be expanded, in lieu of the civilian army of Pandora.

In return, Yggdrasil will have access to a majority of state research, state economy, and the right to buy elite Whitecoat troops from Pandora at a reduced price.

Well-known critic of Will Rowe, Anthony Guntram, has been chosen as this new Pandora's first "Director", in hopes that Pandora will not be a Yggdrasilian puppet. Guntram accepts this honor gracefully, declaring that his first act as Director is to improve the quality of Pandora' schools.

Next among his plans, Guntram says, is to appoint a force of specially-trained Whitecoats, calling them "Crime Supression Troopers" or "CST" and using them as a police force, attempting to cut down on Black Hand dealings in Pandoran territory.

End of Turn, begin of the new Turn

ASN stocks are losing more value over rumours of corruption and a campaign to assassinate all their board members. Temporarily, the prices sank below those of the week before the belt made it's intention of buying all available shares known, when another board member stated his intention to retire at the early age of 88.

The Children of Zarathustra announced their intention of leaving the city of Alexandria to Pandora, under the condition that a giant binational scientific centre would be built there, along with a massive technological exchange program between the two states.

The Belt continues it's habitat building program, to create more living space for it's population, along with implementing new genetic changes into many habitat populations, to save resources and make them more fit to live in habitats.
"The idea to make many of our citizens child-sized was indeed a promising one. In today's age, physical strength is rarely needed when robots can do the hard labour, and smaller bodies save both resources and space that can be put to better use."

Message to perpetrators of damage to ASN

Ease up, back off and slide back into the darkness.
We will soon know who you are if this keeps up and we would hate to get half a dozen factions down on your tail. Whatever it is, it is probably not worth being gang-ganked for.

(We have a 30% stake in ASN, not to mention the fact they lower food prices thus leading to less poverty.)

    Pandora

Pandora Constructs the Alexandria Neo Library

As per it's agreement with the Children of Zarathustra, Pandora builds the binational scientific complex they are calling the Alexandria Neo Library.

Pandoran officials declare that this is a new era of cooperation between the Children and Pandora, and that they hope that the Children will recognize that fact.

    Yggdrasil

    Yggdrasil Colonizes Venus

Yggdrasil, now split into two countries, and only possessing the city-sized Valhalla ship, has acquired supplies from Pandora, in order to colonize the harsh planet of Venus. Valhalla is moving towards Venus presently. They intend to establish a small colony on Venus, but have not released a statement about their intentions there. Neither have they declared why they are colonizing Venus, instead of creating a colony on an easier planet to inhabit.

Opus Dei takes the opportunity of lowered stock prices to pour its new quarterly budget into purchasing more stocks, including any dividends from their 30% holding.
OD also applies for sovereignty rights to Ceylon (Sri Lanka) if it was left out by the All Aid Organization after the nuclear war and Taiwan (since we have not heard from it since the zombies and other disasters ravaged China).

Will Rowe speaks on the Belt

"You know, I don't like the Belt. I don't like the fact that it is fractured, ever chaotic, lead by the emotions of the multitude, with no clear leader. The Belt could fall into in-fighting at any moment. It only takes one ambitious Belter... But I understand the Belt's reasons for that. Their individuality, their chaos is a strength as well as a weakness. Without a leader, they cannot be held accountable for following the twisted goals of one person.

Yet, I can't help but wonder... With your buying of most of ASN's shares, which I assume was agreed on by most of the Belt, are you losing your strength and weakness? Are you just becoming another corporate nation? And your decision to make most of the new Belters a certain size? How... calculating.. How unlike you, Belt."

    A new project: Trinity.

The Machine Technocracy has just announced their plans for the three space stations currently in orbit around Earth, and the 'Spire' which was finished just a few weeks ago. Their plans are to create a new, massive space station named Trinity. The three identical stations will be joined together, with the spire as their center. There has been no word about the true nature of the Spire so far.

Lambert shrugs. Aye to acceptable regulation, by which I mean it should endevor to enforce the status quo rules, and allow input from the powers actually being affected, not Ivory Tower scholars, aye to defence force in theory, and nay to actual implimentation pending further deliberation.

Rowe nods. "Agreed to everything Mr. Lambert said. A defense force in theory, would be best for now. We can work out the details later."

We are in agreement. The details will be sorted out later. Right now there are several other matters we must attend to, and so a quick finish to this meeting would be satisfactory.
