Gavik deflects the attack with ease, taunting his pathetic foe while the "Mandalore"'s blade flies outside of a threatening position.

"Ha! You're no Mand'alor! You're just a little ge'verd'ika <little almost-warrior>! You are an imposter! You're not even worth the energy I've been expending on killing you! Die, di'kut <idiot, fool>, and know that you have been ended by a true Mando'ad!"

Your brief address is cheered by all.

As you walk to your command shack, an old warrior, dressed in the armor of the original Crusaders, approaches carrying a long-handled battle axe with a power cell situated at the base of its head.

    "Te Ijaatla Mand'alor!"
he addresses you, bowing, "I present to you this, the mythosaur axe of Mandalore the Ultimate! It was recently recovered, but that impostor, no doubt realizing his limitations, declined to carry it. You, sir, have proven yourself worthy to wield it."

The Field Marshal in command of the fleets reports the status of the armada in orbit.

"As you know, we took heavy losses in the wars, and we haven't had access to heavy manufacturing facilities since. And a number of the surviving vessels fled into the Unknown Regions. Some of the smaller ships, crewed by those less dedicated to our ideals, have become pirate vessels. I say all that to say this... I am sorry, Mandalore, but we can muster only two Kyramud battleships, three Jehavey'ir assault ships, ten Shaadlar troopships, eight Teroch gunships, and seventy Davaab starfighters. The starships are divided evenly between the two battleships."

I suspect that Vaklu had something to do with the impostor Mand'alor, so he won't be pleased with the change of leadership. We may need to leave the system quickly, so we'll need the captains to have their escape routes plotted in advance. Do we have any reports on the location of the Shan fleet? "Good. I dislike the idea of using anything that the impostor set in place, but using his spies to further our cause is an... amusing irony. We may have use for them yet... so long as we can tell where their loyalties lie. Kir, Rada, and I will go in advance to try to curry favor with Master Shan... get everyone off of Dxun in preparation to jump to Kashyyyk." (yes, curry is not only a food, it's also a verb!)

"Kir's ship, the Wild Shadow, will need some upgrades to carry out this mission. We'll need a hypertranceiver, and a faster hyperdrive would be beneficial, but we might not have time for that. He'd give you a laundry list of the upgrades that he'd like, but we definitely don't have the time to overhaul the ship completely until we know that we're in friendly territory. I want to take the freighter because Shan might recognize it a bit better as an allied vessel than one of our battleships."

The hypertransceiver is hastily installed, but the technicians determine that they will be unable to install a faster hyperdrive quickly enough to suit the situation. They will attend to it once the withdrawal to Kashyyyk is complete, if you still wish to fly the Wild Shadow after that. They would, however, highly appreciate it if you would transfer to a more Mandalorian vessel, perhaps a Teroch-type gunship.

((I take it that the hacked homepage must have been fixed, and this is your way to celebrate it? Anyway, I'm not going to be impressed until you turn the entire game into an All Blue Entry.))

"Yessir. We understand sir. We'll get to work right away."

((The homepage has been fixed for like a week now. I've embraced the fact that TV Tropes Will Ruin My Life, enough so that I might be able to out-Genre Savvy Elan if thrown into a story line... Alas, I find an All Blue Entry made of Unobtainium at least because all of the links are in shades of brown here...

I'd also like to use a Mandalorian ship, but the Shadow seems a bit more subtle and more easily received than a Mando gunship...))
