Re: Fun House! (A Werewolf Game - Now Playing)
And how many people knew that their votes for Indurain and Shadow were wasted, and the third guy in the line would be booped?
EDIT: Also, people who are killed in these games are prohibited from giving any meaningful information to those within it. I figured the same restriction would/should apply to people outside the game too.

Re: Fun House! (A Werewolf Game - Now Playing)
Gah, anyhow... keeping to the rules and getting an advantage that way is fair; it's no different than playing smart. It shouldn't matter whether the end result is disadvantageous to the wolves or the villagers... if anything, it seems like the wolves got the better deal with 3 townies dead, and people still not sure if there are any wolves around.
The more disorganized the actual thread is, the better it is for wolves. They can hide in the confusion. WE need to figure out their patterns and find a way to get in touch with the seer/masons and keep them protected.

Re: Fun House! (A Werewolf Game - Now Playing)
I repeat:
Everyone Relax!
I'm a jerk?
Do you want Indy and I to show you the PMs we received from the narrators asking us to come and PRETEND to play?
You're down 3 villagers?
Nope! You're right where you should be! There was no kill on night one. Why? Because they attacked a player that WASN'T PLAYING! They did the same on night two.
You'd be down FIVE players right now normally. Instead you're down three.
You should be THANKING US and continuing to play, as I said before.
Let it go.

Re: Fun House! (A Werewolf Game - Now Playing)
Well we got one bit of information out of this fiasco (probably).
There is no side-show-freak in this game?
If there was surely they would have claimed instead of Shadow - or disputed Shadow's claim?

"Dead?!? Do I look dead to you? And I certainly couldn't talk to you if I had died anytime recently, now could I? Of course I can talk. I learned to talk the same way you did. By listening and mimicking. Granted, I probably worked harder at it than you, but you get the point."
"Sheelah's her name, huh? Never got the chance to ask her, everything happened all at once. Well then Eric, I suppose I'll thank you for making sure she was safe while I was out of it. Re: Fun House! (A Werewolf Game - Now Playing)
Actually, I take it back. There have been Side-show freaks in this game.
Shadow, Indurain, Atreyu, Trog (and probably a few others that I haven't paid enough attention to to notice).
They're all the side show. And sometimes the side show can be better than the main event...

Yeah, I'm not playing anymore. This is too stupid and screwed up, and I'm not having fun. I'm roleplaying as a whiny ten-year-old, so I'm gonna act like one.

*narrows eyes* "You! Why isn't your name on the list yet? I'll have to fix that..."
*checks list twice*
"Damnit, this is not a petition people! We're not trying to get Blast Hardcheese elected to office, this is serious business!"
Yeah, ahem. I've calmed down a bit. If you were invited it's a bit better than coming in here, screwing around with us, then taunting us while telling us we should be laughing too.
I had a lot more written but I'll just shorten it to this; I don't find chaos funny. I prefer order, or "being serious" as people would so often mockingly say, because that way I can understand WTF is going on. I laught at most of the same jokes my group does, but I still get a lot more frustrated because my tolerance for shenanigans is low.
Anyhow, new sig! Amusingly, it wasn't actually inspired by this thread... I found it and felt the quote described well some of my irritations.

I'm not really sure what to do... There's nothing to follow as a lead, and I'm a villager with nothing to do at night...

Re: Fun House! (A Werewolf Game - Now Playing)
I've been totally blind.
There is no data to back up any of the lynches; they're all completely random.
In addition, I'm just sitting here doing nothing during the night. There's not much to do.The artist formerly known as Tired N' Drowzy, master of puns.

Re: Fun House! (A Werewolf Game - Now Playing)
Exactly. It's only three nights in, and the narrators have already made a complete mockery of their own game. I don't care to stick around and see what other crap they have up their sleeves. I'm sure they're having tons of fun playing around with us, but on this side, it's no fun at all. Werewolf is confusing enough already.

Re: Fun House! (A Werewolf Game - Now Playing)
*sigh* Look, I'm all for "Werewolf is serious business" and all that, but you gotta be kidding me. The narrators did this in order to amuse us, not to make a mockery of their own game. That's A.
B, getting auto-lynched because you've got no leads on day 3? That's the way it goes. Did you expect us to think "Gee, it's all clear now after two random lynches! Day 3 should be perfectly obvious"? Besides, you add "and I'm sitting here doing nothing during the nights. You might as well say "I didn't want to be a villager so I'm getting auto'd".
C, This is a GAME. It's a Werewolf GAME, in the Structured GAMES section of the SILLY Message Board GAMES. In Giant in the Playground GAMES. You're taking it very wrong if you look at it as anything other than a game.

Re: Fun House! (A Werewolf Game - Now Playing)
edit: ^ Thanks 'Ruki! ^
It goes both ways.
The villagers have lost three instead of five.
The wolves have killed three without any threat of revealing themselves.
It's a wash from where I sit, which by the way, has already been established as a neutral point.
Continue the game. Have fun.
It's a Fun House already! And it's a Game too! Treat it as both!I feel sorry for thethreetwo (besides Goof) that were lynched because of the chaos, but then again.... it's just a game.... Deal with the Rule of Shadow and then complain to me!

Re: Fun House! (A Werewolf Game - Now Playing)
I know it's not serious business. I simply didn't enjoy it. I thought it was kind of mean, actually.
And for a FUN house GAME, this hasn't been very fun. So far, it's just been a game for the narrators and people who weren't actually playing. That's right, the only people playing a game are the people who aren't playing the game. And if I'm not playing a game, why should I play the game? I mean, I guess I could stay around a start playing a game, but I wouldn't be playing this game. I don't see any point in playing the game.Last edited by Fawkes; 2008-11-26 at 07:06 PM.

Do as you will. I for one will keep playing, and hope the rest of the player list does as well. And if the side-show guys continue to have fun with us,
that works for me, too.even better.Last edited by Haruki-kun; 2008-11-26 at 07:06 PM.
