"What happened is pretty simple, really. Those guys tried to help themselves to the things in this shop. A few concerned citizens intervened. The shifters pulled knives and one of them cut the lady. Then they lost." He shrugs.

Going all obsequious, Iosef adds, "I see this sort of thing all the time in Southspur. I didn't think it was tolerated here."

Gary unties and gets his silk rope back as soon as the gaurds put the mooks in some proper shackles.

Kazai doesn't bother arguing or struggling with the guards and just stands around inside the shop waiting for the guards to decide what they think happened.

After his interrogation, Theldrat stood nervously to one side, wringing his hat in his hands. As the three guards gathered to review the stories of the interested parties, Millin and the others watching at the door notice that more investigators have arrived: the blue-clad Watchers of Cuthbert are on the scene, getting pointed to the shop by the gathering crowd at the inn across the way.

The four Watchers approached the shop, and looked with curiosity on the shackled thugs, still woozy and sitting at the front of the shop.

Vendelyn answers all questions truthfully when asked, then returns to her table across the street where her belongings hopefully still are.

Iosef waits impatiently. As the men in blue arrive, Iosef asks, "So, we'll answer the same questions again?"
