    Faction Profile: MagCorp


    Leader: Lord Magtok (I'll get to remaking his character profile eventually, I swear!)

    General Information: On a sunny afternoon one day, Magtok looked down upon the people of Inside, and noted that there was quite a bit of money being exchanged in the market streets, and none of it was going to him. This wouldn't do, so the cyborg decided to build a corporation, one fueled by cheap robot labor, mass-produced gadgets, quirky advertising ploys, and fatty artificial meat products cleverly disguised as edible comestibles. Thus, MagCorp was born. Presiding over its MagMart and MagDonald's chains, it proceeded to gobble up as much of that market streets money as it could, and continues to do so today.

    Military Assets:

    There are, on average, about fifty Magbots at any given time, most of which are either flipping burgers at MagDonald's, manning registers in MagMart, or pretending to be diligently doing something important in the MagCaves. There are only a few laser rifles and pistols available for the Magbots, and most of the heavier ordinance is reserved for only the Magbots actively out in the field fighting something, as Magtok feels it's best not to "encourage any more of those damned annoying uprisings and protests they used to do every single fudging week".

    Special Assets/PCs Played by Other Players

    Project Fortress of Maggitude/King in Purple-The King in Purple, also known by its codename, Fortress of Maggitude, is a Statue of Liberty-sized cephalopod, made of a strange combination of synthetically-grown human tissue, cybernetics, and gods know how much magical energy siphoned from the Brightheart and corrupted into the strange purple fluids running through the transparent monster. Along its sides, in tiny neon writing, lies many a cryptic message, written out as if they were magical runes of some sort. "Mk, 5:9", "Luk 8:30", "E Pluribus Unum", "Novus ordo seclorum", "The Great Arsenal of Democracy", "4/13" and other vaguely Magtok-ish gibberish. With eyes as bright as stars, a beak capable of chowing down on tanks, and a face not even Magtok could call decent-looking, the King is truly a terrible weapon.

    Speaking of weapons, its ten long limbs are armed with a wide variety of them. Anti-magic missiles launchers, Tribunal-class laser cannons, massive lead-spewing gatling guns, and unholy tumor-inducing energy beam weapons are all spread across eight of the ten limbs, with the two longest tentacles reserved purely for a pair of large electromagnets, designed for pulling in smaller targets into its fiendish clutches. There's also a hive of three-foot large versions of itself nestled within the transparent shell, ready to take off and provide support or covering fire.

    The MagSat Surveillance Platform-Floating over Inside, Acro, and/or whatever else happens to fall under the part of the Nexus Magtok concerns himself with, this tremendous orbital space station acts opposite the manner of the Hubble telescope. Instead of peering out into the stars to see what might lie beyond, the MagSat spies on the people beneath it, keeping careful tabs on everything the cyborg feels like keeping an eye on. This vessel is also currently shared with the Acronymian Empire, as Magtok sold access to its footage to get out of a financial slump following the Catpeople Conflict.

    Internship program-After carefully masquerading itself as a legitimate business, MagCorp proceeded to recruit a number of interns to toil thanklessly under the cold iron fist of Magtok. However, sometime just before the last batch of interns could arrive, Reinholdt Prime came along and mind-wiped a bunch of people, as well as causing Maggy to totally trash the poor Cave. As a result, most of them ran off and found internship positions elsewhere. Two remained, one due to brain damage inflicted by Reinholdt Prime's de-sapience assault (Aurora "Sunny" Evans), and the other due to having already been a complete raving loon beforehand (Elizabeth Kale) deceased.

    The MagMobile XIII-Since the first twelve MagMobiles were destroyed in horrible accidents, Magtok has since had a new vehicle constructed. Following in the tradition set by James Bond and Batman, the MagMobile is armed with a wide variety of hidden weapons, and is designed to steer and speed like the fanciest of sports cars. The purple car looks like a Buick in a silly nod to a book by Stephen King, modified slightly to keep a degree of grace and sleek elegance about it.

    Headquarters: The MagCorp's central headquarters is technically situated in the newly refurbished MagCave. However, given Magtok's mistrust and suspicion of the intern he put in charge of those rebuilding efforts, he prefers the solitude and feeling of safety provided by his (somewhat) secret Auxiliary MagCave, in Outside.

    Controlled Locales: MagMart (Inside), MagDonald's (Suggested to be in Inside, hasn't actually been posted in, though), Mountain Base (The Primary MagCave), Underground Hillside Facility (The Auxiliary MagCave), MoveMansion (That dusty little abandoned abode from back when Magtok was his own extremist political party)

    Other stuff: The telewarp, the Magazord, and the Squiddly Thing to be added in later. No really, I promise, I'll get to it soon enough.

    Description: Richard usually walks around looking like a mid twenty-something human male. He wears a nice dark gray suit, and carries a briefcase. However as a changeling he can obviously appear as anyone he wants. He usually confines his appearance to humanoids, but will also do animals, and anything else that a contract calls for.

    Equipment: Rick has a 125 caliber over under, double barreled revolver. He keeps both regular shells, explosive shells, shotgun shells, and caster shells. However he also has other types of shells that he doesn't normally keep with him, but can bring them for specific missions. He has several types of body armor, and various magic items, he normally keeps several healing potions on him, and a spell storing ring with plane shift, and teleport in it.

    Abilities: Expert marksmen, master sneak, a good con man, in general one of the best assassins and freelance mercenaries there is. Also is extremely fast, agile, and strong. He is able to stick to any solid surface, and has a few spell casting abilities.

    Backstory: Rick was born to a prostitute in a back alley. His mother gave birth to him, and immediately walked off to try to turn another trick. He tracked her down over 2,000 years ago and killed her, he also found his father and did the same to him. Rick was found by a assassin and taken in. He trained to be a killer from that time. He is now free lance, and is available for hire.

    Miscellaneous: Rick has just purchased a penthouse suite in an inside apartment complex. The underworld of Inside is aware of his arrival.

    Physical Description:

    Magtok is a cyborg, a man with half his body composed of prosthetics. He uses a purple set of hooded robes as his costume, possesses a self-inflicted scar over one eye, and had the other replaced with an infrared prosthetic. More often than not, due to the design of the robes and the electromagnetic device built into his spine, Magtok decides legs aren't really necessary, and simply hovers around without them.

    Equipment and Abilities: Magtok has access to a wide range of firearms and laser weaponry, as well as other fancy gadgets and gizmos. Whether he can actually use any of this equipment is a matter of opinion. However, because Mag's fully aware of how pathetically useless and prone to danger he's built himself a series of cloning vats in his home, which keep him from permanently kicking the bucket, at the cost of his clones being entirely soul-less abominations, hated by death gods and celestial beings in charge of various afterlives.

    Personality: Magtok is an eccentric genius, a sociopath, a coward, and a clown. He'll happily dress up like a 30s-era gangster and rob banks with a modified laser-blasting Tommy gun, shamelessly beg a hero for mercy and then stab them in the throat, confidently stride into a lab to steal valuable cloning research whilst followed by marching band of Magbots armed with plasma-firing trumpets and trombone rifles, and pathetically run away screaming at the top of his lungs if he's clearly outmatched. While he doesn't care much for others, he won't kill unless he feels it's necessary, a matter of revenge, or if it'd look really cool. A long history of abuse has left him with a compulsion to try to be respected and adored by everyone, whilst simultaneously causing him to push people away and isolate himself from any sort of emotional attachments.

    History: While little is known of the cyborg's history, records of conversations with several therapists, former hostages, and the occasional goon hired for his "projects" paint an interesting picture. Magtok alledges that when he was born, a black cat fell on his internet-literate mother, prompting her to shout "OMG, KAT!", just as she was being asked to provide a name for her newborn child, which led to being ostracized and teased as a child until he snapped, made an anagram of his old name, and turned to villainy.

    Several other accounts make mention of an alcoholic ex-cop father and a prostitute mother who'd frequently get into arguments over which of them was the worse stereotypical angsty backstory parent. Another tale suggests that he was a secret government research project that escaped and destroyed the secret base he was born in like in countless other stereotypical lab experiment backstories, but the general lack of government agents out to get him, shortage of hookers or ex-cops who can pass a paternity test, and the fact that no records exist of a child being named OMG KAT suggest each and every one of his backstory claims are silly lies to cover up whatever uncomfortable truths he doesn't want people to know about.

    Magtok's got a long history, mostly due to being RPed for several years now in this section of the forum. While I could easily go on for hours typing up his history with AMEN, fighting the TDI, being assaulted by Idiotarum, fighting with Cal and Reinholdt and GLoG, and everything else that he's done here, I'm not going to, as that'd be boring and more trouble than it's worth. So , you'll just have to piece it together IC.

    Miscellaneous: The cyborg keeps a blog, which he sporadically almost never updates, usually when feeling bored or unhappy about something.

    Lyrak was born and raised in the Town as an NPC seer, the child of a moderately famous treasure-seeker and a woman notable only for her largely dormant psychic gifts. After his father disappeared while on an expedition, he supported his mother by learning to use his clairvoyant abilities with growing precision. He attained PC-hood in his late teens, becoming Iames's first cleric and fanboy. Events later cured him of his off-putting fanboyishness, but his faith in Iames remains strong.

    [Common Knowledge]
    Lyrak runs the Temple of Iames, and is married to Tehanu. His psicrystal, also his holy symbol, is called Sagas, who speaks in medium turquoise.

    Hojyn's Pistol
    Lyrak is the wielder of Hojyn's Pistol, a flintlock pistol that was first wielded by a human adventurer named Hojyn, one of Iames's close friends. When Hojyn dided, he bequeathed his pistol to Iames, who then passed it on to Lyrak after infusing it with his love for and memories of Hojyn, granting it extraordinary powers, like the ability to fire without needing to be reloaded.

    Turtle is a dimensional analogue of Happy Blackdust Amakirr, but with a few important differences. She didn't have a murderous mother, evil uncle, necromantic sister, or adorable henchpixie. She never had an affair with Dr Horrible. And she has only met Fan Amakirr briefly, once. Her eyes are green rather than brown, and she's a few years younger. Her hands are often in the form of reptilian claws when she has trouble controlling her shapeshifting.

    She works for Magtok on occasion, and sometimes appears at WATCHTOWER, though her player's aversion to combat scenes tends to make Turtle conspicuously absent when she would be most useful.

    She knows of her famous lookalike and tries to avoid meeting her. Because, you know... AWKWARD...

    Equipment and Abilities: The swords can be combined to become a black and white double-bladed dancing sword. Both swords are dancing swords by themselves, which lets her cast her spells. When she shifts, the swords automatically activate. The black sword causes negative energy damage along with sword damage, and the white one causes positive energy damage along with sword damage. The energy damage is usually more than the sword damage itself, so she slashes herself to heal herself.
    Backstory: Ask her, though instead of an answer, you probably will get a sword wound. It's... a touchy subject for her.

    Oscar was a peasant farmhand until he somehow ended up in chains in Kundalin Keep and being offered as prey to the succubus Tia. She drained life force from him several times, but without killing him, which means she is imprinted on him. He willingly accepted a corruption amulet so he could become a demon, and chose to leave Kundalin to try and break his own addiction to Tia.

    Faction Profile: Affidavit's Creations


    Leader: Professor Affidavit

    General Information: The creations are a race of living metal creatures, created and controlled through a mental network by Professor Affidavit. Their loyalty to him is absolute, and they are completely devoted to him, treating him like a parent figure. They are somewhat childlike in nature, in reality, relying on Affidavit completely, constantly asking him for help, constantly seeking his help and guidance, always trying to please him, always wanting his love. It's...kind of sad really, how they are "born" into the world loving him, how they die loving him, how their entire life is nothing but servitude to him.

    They are little more than his slaves, though he does show some care for them.

    Organisation: There is no ranking system for the creations. Affidavit is their supreme leader, they are all his slaves, equal in their insignificance. While each type of creation is geared towards a specific purpose, no type of creation is valued more highly than any other.

    History: The creations are relatively young, the product of a younger, more optimistic, less devious and villainous Affidavit. The oldest creation still functioning isn't much more than 20 years old, and is completely obselete. Despite being designed to last for over a thousand years, creations are constantly being updated and improved on, resulting in any creations more than three years old being completely obselete compared to the newer models.

    No creation has ever been tossed aside though. Even the older, lesser models have their uses. After all, the size and power of Affidavit's mind is directly related to the number of functioning creations. Even the oldest models have a use, being used primarily to handle the simpler, most basic tasks Affidavit's mind has to deal with.

    Homeworld: Yes, that's right. Homeworld. The creations are not native to the Nexus. Professor Affidavit's early life was on a different planet entirely, a planet that he eventually took complete control of, crushing all other life present. It now exists as a machine, a giant factory devoted to the production and support of creations.

    There are tens of thousands of creations on the planet, and hundreds of thousands of drones. As the drones build, the creations design and improve. It's a bit of a boring life really. Some creations may have travelled to other planets and may be colonising them...

    But who knows? They may have spread across galaxies by now, or maybe not. Regardless, their homeworld is now just one giant creation-producing factory.

    Headquarters: In the Nexus, their headquarters is the KNAVES castle. A flying castle, home to hundreds of creations. It is equipped with formidable defences and exits as the creations' primary point of access to the Nexus.

    Types of Creation

    The Standard Creation

    The standard creation is something of a jack of all trades, master of none. Designed to be able to do pretty much any task to a reasonable level of skill, it stands 6 feet high and is very basic in design, with no unusual or special features and a very simple level of detail. Generally equipped with basic diamond weaponry and close combat weaponry, they are the most numerous of Affidavit's creations other than drones, and are used in any situation that doesn' require a more specialised model.


    The Winged Creation

    Equipped with a large pair of wings, and standing two inches taller than the standard modely, the winged creations are Affidavit's flying force. Generally equipped with explosive weaponry and always carrying their spears, they are capable of incredible feats of aerial agility. Their favourite method of attack is to plummet from the sky and plunge their spears into the heads of their foes. For some reason, they are also the only model of creation to ever wear any form of uniform, often seen wearing boots and a black jacket.


    The Spider Creation

    About the same size as a large dog, the spiders are the Professor's assassins. Unable to talk, they can only hiss, but they rarely do that. They prefer to remain as silent as possible, able to sneak into almost any place with their highly advanced stealth systems that render them completely invisible. They are armed with a pair of sharp knife-like appendages, soaked in liquid agony. They are also equipped with a web-shooter that fires globs of liquid agony-soaked webbing, and can climb pretty much any surface.


    The Guardian Creation

    A rare model. It consists of a modified standard creation body, somewhat stronger than the standard model, with a large rotating sphere sspended 6 inches above the body. The sphere is in fact a giant eye equipped with all of the Professor's numerous sensors. It can spot anything that has any effect on the material world, and I mean any effect no matter how minor it may be. This model is generally only used to protect the most important secrets the Professor holds, and is rarely used in any open situation.


    The Beetle Creation

    Tiny. Absolutely tiny. Smaller than an ant. These little creatures are among the most deadly models. They are capable of burrowing into the neck of any humanoid using their viciously sharp teeth. However the entry wound is so small that it feels only itchy, too small to produce any real sense of pain. From there the beetle makes its way to the base of the brain and clamps its teeth in, passing all information through it before it reaches its destination. In this way it can alter all information without ever being noticed, allowing it to control minds in a very efficient and deadly manner. And any creatures that resist? Well, then their brain will be shredded by the beetle and its sharp little teeth in just a few seconds...


    The Shapeshifting Creation

    Normally it looks like a standard creation. But it can chane shape and alter its external appearance. Um, there's not much else to say. It...shapeshifts. It's pretty good at it. They're used a fair amount, generally for espionage or diplomatic purposes. They generally carry very little in terms of equipment.


    The Drones

    Basic. Simple. Short. Ridiculously common. These are the workers. They are highly agile and very hard-working. They're also much stronger than they appear. Thier only purpose is to build and repair, but they're damn good at it. They never tire, they never take breaks, they are incredibly efficient. They are also mute and deaf. They possess no mouth or ears. Oh, and no nose either, only a pair of eyes. They're kinda disturbing to look at really, so basic are they in appearance.


    The Whale-Currently Destroyed

    A giant submarine-creation. It was capable of holding hundreds of passengers, was covered in weaponry, and had a giant cannon similar to the model on the underside of the castle. It may be repaired one day. Having some stupid amount of explosives teleported inside it really did a number on it, y'see. It remains, however, an example of how great a creation the Prof can build.


    The Bird Creations

    The newest model. These are high speed air transport creations, equipped with numerous eyes similar to the guard creation's giant eye. They possess several high-speed pulse laser weapons and a pair of jet engines. They can also hover. Each bird holds 25 creations and is extremely fast. They look sorta like a cross between a bird and a plane, and are probably the most ambitious model made so far.

    The creations wield several types of weapon, each of which has numerous versions.

    The first is the diamond gun. The Professor has founda bizarre way to store energy in a diamond. Diamond weaponry fires projectiles at supersonic velocities, powered by the diamond in the hilt of each model. They vary in size from the simple diamond pistol to the giant cannon.

    The second is liquid agony. A horrible liquid that creates the illusion of pain by causing nerves to fire in the same manner as when the victim is in pain. Liquid agony does not cause any permanent damage, though an overdose can cause the victim to die from sheer pain...which is unpleasant. Liquid agony weapons range from simple syringes to guns, to a very dangerous highly concentrated gaseous version. A very effective way of incapacitating someone...also quite effective as a torture device.

    Thirdly, explosives. Nothing much to say here. They're quite powerful, and the smaller models are generally encased in glass. That's it really. They're used quite a lot...and they go boom.

    Finally, laser weaponry. Not used much by the Prof, he prefers good ol' projectile weaponry, preffering to rely on kinetic energy than any of that silly old light stuff. The bird creations use pulse lasers, however the Prof does realise the value in having the odd laser here or there and has a few spread out among the other types of creation.


    All creations speak in this colour. They never refer to themselves individually. If they do, it's because their player is tired and forgetful.

    And of course, no sooner do I say this, then I remember a couple of exceptions, including one that literally popped up just moments after saying this. So...

    Exceptions

    The Diamond Creations

    They speak in Cyan. Apologies for the annoying text colour. The result of a deal made with Iames the dark (I think) quite some time ago, they are giant humanoids made entirely from a specially modified form of diamond. They have some minor shapeshifting powers, able to alter their internal structure and slightly alter their appearance, such as turning their arms into rather nasty spiky things...but that's about it. They were magically created, much to Affidavit's annoyance, and act as batteries of a sort, trapping light within themselves and releasing it as a blinding, painful flash. Quite effective against their foes really.


    The White Creation

    The result of an accident involving a winged creation, some raw possibility, and a teleporter. Presumably Edict did not expect such a thing when he handed over the raw possibility. The White creation is marble-white (no imperfections) and glows faintly at all times. Its wings are larger than usual too. It appears to have developed into an individual, showing a personality and occasionally questioning Affidavit. However it remains quite loyal, even sticking a couple of extra titles on to the names of its superiors. Its powers are still a bit of a mystery at the moment, but all will be revealed in time...

    It speaks in "Lime, Sir! I look forward to serving you, Lord Professor!" See what I mean? Still completely loyal to Affidavit.

    Description: About three inches tall, he wears a tiny business suit, a dark blue pinstripe number, and he carries a tiny briefcase, inside which is a keyboard/screen combination, and an extending aerial.

    Equipment/Abilities: She can emanate a white energy from her hands, which destroys that which it comes into contact with. She can form it into beams or blasts with ease.

    Description: This guy is dressed almost exatly like a cowboy. The hat, the vest over a checked T-shirt, the long leather pants, complete with leather boots equipped with spurs. It all seems rather impractical really. He has two holsters by his side with a couple of relatively new pistols.
    Equipment/Abilities: He has the two pistols on him at all times, as well as any number of guns hidden away either on the support station that's currently orbiting Acro, or in caches throughout the land. He can imbue his bullets with any number of magical powers, have his guns fire completely silently, or any number of cool tricks I can think up. He has a number of magical clips, and magical bullets, for dire situations.

    Description: He's a short little goblin, usually dressed in long, fire-retardant trousers, and an odd harness-like vest thing. Attached to the vest are several pockets, all manner of detonators and switches and control pads, and a few grenades.
    Equipment/Abilites: Inside the pockets on his harness/vest - which are pockets of holding (powered by SCIENCE!) - are all manner of explosives and explosive launcher, ranging from more grenades, up to surface to air missiles.

    Class: TAAAAAAANK!
    Description: He's an absolute monster of a man, standing at slightly over 8 foot, his entire bulk bulging with muscles. His hands are both metallic, and he wears intricate greeny black armour, that covers his entire form. His head is covered with the armour up the back of the neck, over the top of the head, and across the mouth. His eyes are covered by a set of goggles. He occasionally has a steel backpack on his back.
    Equipment/Abilities:He's immensely strong, and surprisingly quick despite his bulk. His hands are cybernetic, and are designed to integrate with the backs of two miniguns, one for each hand, or a couple of chainsaws. His armour is of superb make, and together with his natural hardiness, it could probably shrug off a tank round. His goggles have several enhancements, with filters for true-sight, heat-vision, night-vision, and any other amount of visions.

    Abilities/Equipment: He can, at will, emit or stop emitting a field that completely blocks anything supernatural, unless said supernatural thing is done in a sufficiently badass way, or unless you reeeeeeally want it to work and can BS me a good enough reason.

    Description: It's rarely seen, due to the fact that it generates a shadowy aura around itself at all times. Usually the only people that see it are it's victims, before they're disemboweled by some form of bladed limb.
    Abilities/Equipment: It generates a field of shadow around itself, completely cloaking it even to true sight and such things. It can walk through the shadow realm with ease, and its agility on any plane is unparalleled. It has a few bladed limbs of some sort, via which it kills its victims. Its strike leaves flesh rotting and infected.

    Description: An incredibly elderly lady, possibly in her 80s or 90s. She's very short, and walks with the assistance of a cane. She wears a faded pink cardigan and a long skirt, faded white with age, although traces of blue can be found. She has very thick glasses on most of the time.
    Abilities/Equipment: She has a large collection of scout drones, all equiped with a truly bewildering array of sensors, all of the data being fed straight into a small laptop she carries around in a carry bag. She's a master liar and thief, and is usually used for information gathering before a job.

    Miscellaneous about The Group: Their main goal is the acquisition of wealth and power. They have an orbiting support satellite stationed above acro, through which they can access resources and regroup after missions, although they prefer to spend time on the ground, establishing a base there.

    Daxus has been around for a long time, and has seen most mortal races rise and fall. Since the beginning, the only thing he had of his own was his ability to mimic almost anything he observes; everything else he has borrowed, even his name, taken from a veteran soldier[In his 50's, carried a glaive] he once met.

    He is incredibly powerful, but in conflicts will tend to mimic his adversaries.

    He sees everything as another addition to his own "collection", but is actually quite benign, life is his only inspiration, and he'd like to keep it around.

    Will not join any organised groups, unless he can gain a few more forms for his collection.
    It is always interesting to see anyones reaction to a perfect mirror.

    Wulfen grew up in the shadow of his father Vlad on a world called Earth. He was even further shadowed by his older brother, Alucard, who was a full vampire and always teased Wulfen about being half human.

    That was, until Wulfen decided to shoot his brother in the face with a holy bullet of smiting. That stopped him from making fun of him ever again.

    A wanted vamp, Wulfen traveled across Russia and swam to Alaska, where he went south just in time for the Californian gold rush. While there, Wulfen signed up with Billy the Kid and began his career as a gunslinger.

    For over 100 years, Wulfen took part in wars around Earth, WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Korea, even a handful of classified missions. He also stole about a dozen nuclear warheads from the U.S.S.R. and sold them for several billion dollars to the U.S.A. The next few years he became a mercenary and bounty hunter, serving almost every paramilitary organization on his planet in one case or another.


    Wulfen is not completely sure how he ended up in this world. He just found himself standing in front of Trog's one day. He does know, however that his father will pursue him to the ends of the world and any others to kill him, so Wulfen has been travelling mainly to find out new combat tactics to use against his father, Vlad the Impaler, a.k.a. Dracula

    History:

    A family of dwarves is caught in a flash flood. Mum and Dad can't escape, but they assemble a makeshift raft and attach their baby to it. Of course they hang on to the very last minute and only let go when it is clear that they are about to be drowned. They die, but the baby is swept downstream and eventually is discovered by a particularly low int orc barbarian who decides to keep her. Being the super creative guy that he is, he names her Baby. Had Baby been any other race, she almost certainly wouldn't have survived his parenting, but she survived and grew up among the orcs, learning to hold her own with the orc children and in the fights with her dad. She is fiercely loyal to her orc tribe and has no desire to rejoin dwarf society.

    Baby's history (according to her): Gruumsh and dwarf god fight over Baby. Dwarf god steal Baby, make Baby born in dwarf body. But Gruumsh tricky. Gruumsh know dwarves not like water and send flood. All real dwarves drown, but Baby not drown. Baby get washed away until Daddy finds Baby. Daddy not god, so no can make Baby look like orc. But Daddy make Baby good orc in everything else. One day, if Baby fight good enough, Gruumsh will give Baby orc body.

    "Daddy tell Baby do dishes!" "Daddy not boss of Baby!" "Baby live under Daddy roof, do what Daddy say!" "Baby go out with friends! Baby has life! Baby do dishes tomorrow!" "Baby do dishes now!" "Raawr!" "Raawr!"

    Much later... "Dishes all broken now. Baby go meet friends." "Okay Baby. Daddy loves Baby." "Baby loves Daddy" *hugs*

    She wears rough reddish jeans, old army boots, a maroon tee with the sleeves torn off, and a long black zippered coat.
    She now has... the sort of hat Barbossa wears. Except the feathers are made of metal and it's got cherries on it. Sometimes other fruit.

    Equipment/Weapons: Her cyber-eye has night vision and zoom-in functions.
    She seems to be pretty dang hardy.
    Her left mechanical hand can extend metal talons.
    She has some sort of magicky abilities, having displayed the ability to:
    • manifest an energy shield.
    • envelop her metal taloned hand in the same energy as her shield.

    She's acquired an old 43M SMG. And a BM59.
    She now has a Yellow Lantern Ring.

    About herself:
    I was inna lab an' I left an' I ate a bird. I foun' a city and looked for Magtok an' I live inna closet inna alley. An' then I FOUND HIM AN' HE SAID MY EYE WAS PRETTY AND THE SCARS IS OKAY HE SAID. An' there was a girl wiv kitty ears an' all scales on bits of her an' claws an' wings an' she was all touchyclose on him an' I don' think he liked that an' it made me a little scared.

    Description:
    Krugzim is a thin, lanky grey-skinned goblin with a mullet, pointy nose, large ears, large fangs and red eyes. He usually wears thick, black clothes with a large hood. He can often be seen in multi-layered protective clothing when working underground.
    Equipment and abilities:
    Krugzim is a skilled miner and knows a lot about working underground. He has a variety of tools related to that line of work, as well as a score of miners employed by his company. He has absolutely no combat training and like most goblins he will run away, hide or surrender at the first sign of a fight.
    Backstory:
    Krugzim was born in a large goblin colony in the central mountain range of the continent, the same one as Reelshka and Grimzig and joined the Miner's Guild. At some point, they all decided to team up and sell their services outside of their colony. Dipsnig Razortooth, the leader of Neutralist Organization, hired them to dig a network of tunnels for his group and that's how they ended up in the Nexus.
    Miscellaneous: Due to an accident involving monkeys some months ago, he's now nervous when outside.

    Reelshka Trollfinger

    Gender: Female
    Race: Goblin
    Age: 24
    Profession: Architect
    Power Rating: 2 or E
    Description:
    Reelshka is a slim goblin woman with light brown skin, delicate fangs and yellow eyes who wears her grey hair in a ponytail. She tends to wear practical, brown and grey clothes and usually carries a sketchbook with her.
    Equipment and Abilities:
    Reelshka is an architect and a bit of an amateur artist. Her preferred models are surface animals. Like the other goblins here, she has no combat ability to speak of.
    Backstory: Reelshka was born in the same goblin colony as the other two and is in fact Krugzim's cousin. She was the one who came up with the idea of making a business and leaving, as she wasn't feeling good in her home colony, thinking it restricted her and opressed her.
    Miscellaneous: Reelshka likes fuzzy animals including cats and foxes. This irritates her collegues somewhat.

    Grimzig Ironpick

    Gender: Male
    Race: Goblin
    Age: 26
    Profession: Engineer
    Power level: 2 or E
    Description:
    Grimzig is a rather large and a bit overweight goblin with pale gray skin. He has spiky hair, sideburns, blunt, short fangs, flat nose and orange eyes. He tends to wear a shirt, trousers and a vest, all with a lot of pockets, and a toolbelt. He als tends to have protective goggles on his head.
    Equipment and abilities:
    Grimzig is a true goblin engineer - inventive, clever and prone to forgetting about safety and hygiene when working on a new invention. As above, he has no combat ability, but he's not quite as cowardly as other goblins and can swing his heavy wrench in a nasty fashion. He has a collection of various tools, function of many of which he has little to no idea about.
    Backstory:
    Joined Krugzim's and Reeshka's company because he thought there'd be less of a competition as far as inventions go in the surface world.
    Miscellaneous: None

    Assorted goblins: NPC miners, builders, demolition experts and mechanics working for the trio.

    The Ostari Elves have lived in the Nexxus for thousands of years, living in the city that has always existed in this meeting place of worlds. It has gone by different names, but is currently known as Inside.

    As beings that do not weaken and die as they age, they are naturally loathe to do battle, as they have no immunity to being slain. The conflicts of mortals rarely interest them, and they can often seem cruel and capricious when faced with human suffering.

    Their love is for building, which is fortunate as they live in a city that encounters a great deal of destruction. What magic they have is geared for this purpose, and they are often the ones who repair things offscreen.

    They have no interest in ruling Inside, and are happy to serve whatever government they believe will best promote stability. They don't believe in revolution or civil war. They also have very little interest in the expansion of the empire outside the city. They have pledged their support to Vyrn during his lifetime, which is roughly the same level of commitment as choosing to support a president during his 4 year term of office.

    Their numbers are few, and most of the population has seen a millenium or more in the nexxus.

    Their representative to the Empire is Councillor Veriswen Hiriloth (next post)

    Restated in plain talk: These are Tolkien elves, proud and aloof and immortal and very old. Like the various divisions of elves tended to have special talents towards certain fields of endeavor (some with ships, some with trees, some with gems), these elves are particularly talented civil engineers and city builders.

    They tend not to care much when humans are injured or killed, as they were going to die soon anyway, but they work very hard on rebuilding the property damage and keeping the city's infrastructure going.

    They're pretty much a bunch of jerks, actually. But useful jerks.

    Like most Ostari elves, Veriswen has city building powers, but hers tend towards the tending of urban wildlife. This is of next to no use in combat, which is one of the many reasons that she'll almost never engage in it directly. She has the ability to disappear in plain sight in an urban environment.

    She works on the council to help administor the civic side of the government.

    As the silly tektek, but tall and bit of white in the hair which suggests a feather pattern, changing to actual feathers at the back of her neck.
    Equipment and Abilities: Fancy exalted sword(Reaver Daiklave), manacles, spyglass. Mostly changing shape and sorcerous powers. Extra speed, toughness and strength. Notably, cannot be forcibly transformed into anything and may go crazy around certain injustices.
    Backstory: Living near the edge of a large Isleand, Censhuliel lived a fairly normal life with which she was reasonably content, until her store and house burned down in a routine accidental fire, which killed the rest of her family and almost did the same to her. She ended up lost in the great ice, and doesn't go into more detail about that. Since then, studying human cities.

At the age of nineteen, she graduated top of her class as a full fledged paladin, ready to face a full combat situation. Unfortunately, in her first battle she got mauled by a zombie and died. Ouch. After the battle was over, she was raised and bound as a banshee, and over the course of the next ten years, served as an assistant to Necromancer Lord, helping wage war over the land. Unfortunately, in the final battle of the war the Necromancer Lord was killed, and the undead army destroyed. That was when she died. Again. Now she roams the land, seeking meaning for her life. And seeking a psychiatrist so that she can get rid of that annoying habit of bellowing at people and proclaiming doom upon the world she has. Is now the servant of the Necromancer Lord once more.

She's incredibly muscular, even for the typically muscular Naga, and it's clear from her build that she's incredible of exerting incredible forces with her four arms. Like her namesake as well, she has snakes for hair.
    Equipment and Abilities: Medusa is incredibly strong, incredible of slinging around entire trees, buses, boulders... anything she can get a grip on, really, as if they weighed nothing. Most people realize that this is a mistake when they get hit by said heavy object. She's incredibly skilled with melee weapons as well, and having four arms to wield said weapons, it can be incredibly difficult to fight back. Her snake hair comes with a deadly venom as well, which can paralyze victims completely within minutes, though sadly, it does not quite turn them to stone.

    FACTION PROFILE: The New Yiridian Army {formerly Hain's merc company}

    The NYA was formed three years ago by a radical Commissar Hain of Yiridia, the fleet's home world. Enraged by the capture of Yiridia's Grand Commissar by mutinous factions within the military, Hain raised his own Group of soldiers of whom he declared himself Grand Martial. He lead an incredibly bloody massacre of the desentors, and restored the Grand Commissar to office. He then began to track down and kill those who had escaped the slaughter. Unknown to him, his fleet tracked the remaining hostile forces to the Nexus. After a second bloody victory in which the rebel leader, Hain's Daughter and Hair himself were killed, Aphemas Kerard, the second in command took charge is intent on steering the NYA ,as he now calls it, onto a peaceful course.

    The Yiridians: This odd race are not, as you may not guess from looking at them, human. The Major differences are that a Yiridian stands head and shoulders over a human, [average is 7 foot 3], and that Yiridains are able to see into the IR spectrum, making them interesting foes.

    The soldiers: Yiridian tecnology is an odd blend of science and sorcery using more conventional means to power magical Kinetic generators, which is used to full effect by the military.Esch soldier carries a Kinetic pulse carbine, an anti-perssonel device that uses pulses of Kinetic energy to deliver blows a charging rhino would be proud of. The soldiers are also protected by the same energy, their kinetic shielded armor is able to deflect most projectile assaults, as well as many energy and magical attacks.

    The specialists: Heavy troopers carry Kinetic Wave Launchers capable of demolishing most small buildings, and guardians carry reflector shields and modified armor that reflect attacks back at the assailent.

    The fleet:The flagship, the ki'iuk is part aircraft carrier, part airbourne gun battery. She is able to carry 12 fighters, 4 bombers and 2 AAPCs, as well as a crew compliment of 1040. She is armed with 8 KWC, similer to the heavy trooper arm but on a larger scale, as well as shredder Kinetic flak and auto tracking nano-rocket clusters. The other ships are smaller and have a specific role, 5 cruisers armed with the same guns as the Ki'iuk but with no transport capacity, and 4 carriers, armed only with flak, but able to transport the same as the flagship.

    The fighter: Armed with twin KPCs and rapid launch nano-rockets, the fighters are piloted by the best of the best. They are agile in a dog fight, and can hit speeds of Mach 5 in good conditions.

    The bomber: Larger and more sluggish, the bombers have a few crew manned turrets, but tend to rely on a fighter escort. Their true power lies in the payloads of seismic charges they carry, which can reduce buildings to rubble in the blink of an eye.

    AAPC: Basically a box on Kinetic repulsors, the AAPC's shielding is based on the Guardian armor, able to reflect, rather than deflect attacks. It can carry 1 full platoon plus equipment quite comfortably.

    Personality Notes: He is not entirely sane, likely having looked one too many madness-inducing things in the eye, but seems relatively stable so long as he doesn't start torching things. A number of things will set him off, though. Mainly, cultists. He hates cultists more than most people do for some reason.

    Trent has a small stealth ship of sorts. It's a high-tech craft, but not large, on par with, say, a standard shuttlecraft. It looks almost like a futuristic jet, though, with twin engines in the rear and small wings in a similar position on the side. A bulge, contrasting with the rest of the otherwise sleek craft, is in the middle of it, up to what would appear to be the cockpit.

    The engines look fairly standard for, you know, a jet, but they're very quiet, similar to Imperial gunships' whisper engines.

    It looks somewhat like this from above, though less crudely made in Inkscape, obviously. The cockpit area is raised up a bit from the rest of the craft, and it's sleeker in general and closer to the previous description compared to my crude Inkscape dabblings.

    As for the lower area, there's what looks like retractable armor covering something on the underside of the craft, probably a VTOL engine or something of that sort...actually, there are two such sections, one around the middle-the VTOL engine, probably-and a much smaller one closer to the cockpit. That one looks more like it's for dropping a person.

    The ship is capable of cloaking as well.


    Appearance: Trent is a fairly average-looking, if fit, man with short brown hair, dark eyes, and a scar slashing diagonally across his face from above the right eye down and to the left.

    Equipment: Trent's usual equipment consists of a variable-setting assault laser rifle, a stunner laser pistol, a dagger, an odd black crystal, his armor, and an odd set of high-tech goggles.

    The laser rifle is just that. It has been somewhat modified by someone since its introduction, and can be dialed from weak, extremely rapid-fire shots up to very slow, powerful shots, and everything in between. It also has an 'inferno' setting that fires a very powerful shot designed for maximum raw heat in order to cause targets to ignite. As one final note, the laser rifle usually fires bright blue beams, with the inferno setting firing a brilliant orange beam. The rifle also has a mid-range scope.

    The stunner laser pistol fires a wide red beam of weak strength meant to stun normal human-level opponents. It does have a stronger kill-setting, however.

    Trent's also obtained a large-caliber Stub Automatic pistol of excellent craftsmanship over the course of his time here. It's loaded with armor-piercing Man Stopper rounds.

    The dagger is very...strange. It is essentially anathema to supernatural creatures in general, tending to cut through them with great ease and even cause surrounding flesh to die. It is particularly effective against divine magic-infused creatures, and who knows what it would do to a god...

    As for the crystal...It is a magic crystal Trent uses to cast defensive magic, tending to glow when he does so. Common uses by Trent include propelling him into the air and slowing his fall after such leaps. He never uses it offensively, though. He has said that it is unstable and is the last remnant of magic in an otherwise null-magic world, however.

    Trent's armor is futuristic in appearance, with a black and white coloration. A pistol holster is on the right side of the armor, with a dagger sheath on the left. These are for holding his aforementioned weapons. It is rather light, in order to prevent impairment of mobility. There's a small backpack-like storage compartment on the back for storage of whichever pistol he doesn't have holstered and the aforementioned crystal. The laser rifle is often slung across Trent's back, underneath the armor's compartment.

    Finally, Trent's goggles are oddly high-tech in appearance as well. They are used as energy scanners, capable of detecting natural and supernatural energy alike.

    She has also been a Lunar much longer than many would suspect, given the time of Salamander's death, and she has no memories of Salamander's life. Nonetheless, the bond between her and Anshu is genuine, and Heaven's records maintain that she is his bondmate. The confusion is believed by the few who know of it to be the result of the chaos wreaked on the Loom of Fate during the period of crisis a decade ago.

    Backstory: Krezantio is an independent mad scientist who lives on the edge, using his technology to steal what he likes.....so he can invent more things....so he can steal more stuff...its not clear which causes which, but he neither uses it to gain more power or help people, mostly just using selling it to whoever is willing to buy it so he can make a living.

    Donald Lamb is a man of inaction. At least that is how he seems to the few who know the beach bum. He likes to spend his days in a hammock drinking something alcoholic out of a pineapple. He is a very good pilot and does his best to take care of his plane. But flying doesn't give him the joy it used to, it is just a job now, though he still has pride in his skills.

    He operates a small time charter plane business that gives people air tours over both land and water. It makes just barely enough to support himself, though he had to shut down for several months after an accident damaged his plane and he needed to get it fixed.

    Don, as he likes to be called, doesn't speak much of his past. Though he seems to have plenty of it and from a place that is pretty damn technologically advanced. He doesn't avoid the subject if it is brought up, he just will rarely bring it up.
