Totally unrelated: Did you know "Kobold" originally was a German name for Gnomes/dwarves. They named the metal "Kobolt" after them because they (in fairytales) where good miners.

Actually, yes. Here, though, it's 'Cobalt'. And not only were the kobolds miners, who used tapping to warn of danger and to tell of bountiful veins, but they were also like brownies. They did chores.
That's a lot of work for a few li'l kobolds.
