She might get there a bit early to see about running a con or two in the guise of an old toothless Davethran woman, you know, the typical "help, some big young man took my purse, quickly, down this alleyway", then *sleep*, *swipe gold*, etc.

Oh I have a question: Shouldn't a noble like Verlyn ride a horse instead of walking?

I know that people usually do away with mounts becuase they don't like the bookkeeping, but still...

What do you say Ozzy, is it okay if I shift around some wealth (and maybe 1 or two skill points) to get a light riding horse and saddle (and maybe saddlebags and a tent)? He doesn't really need a Str +2 bow, so I would have the funds...

Fine by me. But you do know you'll be going across the sea. This may cause problems with a horse. Not unsurmountable ones by any means though.

Dion comes and finds you, to tell you that she's been offered a job, and they wanted her to bring any other adventurer she knows to talk to the employer, so she suggested you. Apparently the job take a few weeks, involve travelling across the sea to Mokan and then to Dar Ven, and be under the employ of the man's master, a Davethran Noble. For protecting the noble and other hired help, and fighting off any bandits or wild animals, you'll receive the sum of 2000 gold pieces, a very large amount of money. If that is, they decide to hire you. You're supposed to go to the Blue Boar tavern in three nights time, a common haunt of adventuers, and meet their potential employer.

I'm going to be doing a lot of work for the next couple of days anyway, before I go back to doing sweet nothing for 2 weeks.
Are you guys all ready for me to put up the new IC thread though? With me busy and Toliudur not having much access, it might be a little bit slow, but I think it's probably worth starting.

Still have to try and wrap my mind around just how Verlyn isn't comfortable with trying to lead people.

Either he's just a tad too feline individualistic (as in: sure, these people kinda tag along for the journey, but they are all grown-ups and don't need me to tell them to do their jobs...) or he doesn't really quite grasp how to get on people's good side, diplomatic training nonewithstanding (uhm okay, how does it go again? I need to make sure they know I'm the boss. But if I put too much pressure behind it... how does it go? If you need to convince people you have it, you don't?).

Same here. Slow pace at first will do me well right about now. RL stuff, and I gotta decide who'll end up going on the adventure, Reyhan will go to the meetup, but might want to 'contact' someone else more fitting to do the dirty work.
