Utrini leans back slightly, giving a deep sigh

"I'll help you. But then you have to help me. I saved your life. Twice now since I have no choice but to save you from the vampires. Once we kill your uncle and I get my money, we are out of this place. You won't be taking anything.

You seem to know how to take care of yourself with those spells of yours. And that will help me even more then you understand."
Utrini then leans out and pokes the girl in the forhead, making sure she feels the draw on her magic

"We're gonna butcher a pig, and we're gonna hop town to the next city. When we get there...your going to get some better cloths and we're going to find more money. And once that task is finally done...well...you owe me more then you can repay. Your sticking with me for a long time hoooney"

[Babale]

((since she seems to join you as a follower, I'll tell you that she is a level two human sorceress, although I won't say what spells she knows. Even though she is a level higher, she is very inexperienced, and I'll play her as such. Don't count on her to do any major damage.))

She smiles and nods. It's not as if I have anywhere better to go, she says. Then she looks you in the eyes and frowns. Can I PLEASE have a shirt now? she asks.

"I handed you one. Its behind the tent. Not shy are you? You face off with Vampires."

She puts on the shirt and smiles. So what's the plan, oh Tactical Genius?

[Innis Cabal]

"Well the idea was to sneak in at night and bash his face into a pulp, but that idea is more or less shot what with vampires probably roaming the streets looking for us.

What are his hhabits? What does he do all day?"

[Babale]

I don't know. But there's his personal cleric. At least, he WAS his personal cleric. My uncle fired him when the cleric told him that his headache was all in his head. She looks at you. We can find him at the dock at sunrise. He goes there to treat the sick sailors.

[Innis Cabal]

"Well then...we'll go there at dawn. For now, get some rest. I'll keep watch. Sleep out here where I can see you."

[Babale]

The Next Day


The sun rises, and you wake up. Jusdging by the sun, it's only half an hour since sunrise.

Utrini gives the young girl a slight nudge with his foot

"Wake up. The long journey of your life's upon you. After today, your name won't matter, it'll change where ever you go, arn't you lucky?"

[Babale]

She wakes up. Whua? muhh.... Not yet... She mumbles, then rolls over and goes back to sleep.

[Innis Cabal]

"Lets go... we are on a time table. Get dressed"

[Babale]

She finally gets up and gets dressed. She frowns at wearing the same clothes as yesterday.

So what now, my dear tactical genius?

[Innis Cabal]

"The name is Sihi hoooney. And we are going to go get information. If we know when the swine is vunerable we can kill him, get the money and run for our lives from the feasting hordes of undead. Sound like a plan? You said he had a cleric that served him. Lead the way Princess."

Utrini grins as he takes down camp.

The girl takes you to the dock.


*At the Dock*

The smell of fresh cut fish overwhelms the air as the girl leads you towards a small pub. Inside seats a man of about seventy who is wearing heavy armor, which looks out of place in this poor place. In line to see him are about ten sailors, urchins, and other scum of the city.

Utrini takes his time, waiting for the others to leave before taking a seat at the table, the usual grin plastered to his face

"Hello good sir, my name is Talman Sherridan, a roving diplomat. Word has it you know the eccentricies of the man who runs this place. Would you be willing to part with some of that information?"

[Babale]

The cleric looks up at you.

Now, now, Utrini... Lying about your name? What would your father say?

[Innis Cabal]

Alot of things ran though Utrini's mind. Mostly ways of killing the man. The smile faded for just a moment, his eyes glaring daggers at the man.

"Not in front of the girl. Just answer the question. I'll be out of here after you do."

[Babale]

The cleric looks up at you and shakes his head, looking almost sad. Now, now, Utrini... Is that the way to talk to an old friend? Remember that I wasn't only your father's doctor. I was also yours.

The girl looks at you with wide eyes. Sihi? Who is this man? she asks. You can feel the anger of betrayal in her voice.

Your old cleric looks you in the eyes. Ahh, so you haven't told her your little secret, have you? Well, I'm sure your dad won't be happy. I heard he's looking for you. He's offering a reward, in fact. He stares right at you. And you know how much I love money.

[Innis Cabal]

"Enough not to help me free my mother. The name THAT man gave me is not to be uttered again scum. Do you hear me? As for the reward. How much is your life worth? Tell that man what ever you like, so long as we part ways again doctor."

Utrini then turns to the young girl

"I told you that you needed to trust me. I did save your life after all. Surely i'm not out to hurt you. I'll explain -after- we get done here. I promise. Sound good?"

[Babale]

I TRUSTED you! She screams, her face twisted with fury and held back tears. You LIED to me! If you can't tell me the truth, how do I know you aren't one of them?! She dives out of the pub and into the street, where she disapears into the crowd.

[Innis Cabal]

Utrini sighs

"You know. There are days I really hate being me. But then I think....I could be just like you."

Utrini raises from his chair, the smile fading slowly

"Tell my father this. I won't stop...untill she is free. Also, give him this."

Utrini then takes a swing at the elderly man

((He is just throwing a punch then going after the girl))

With a heavy yell, the cleric falls back. MY NOSE! You broke my damn nose! With a yell, he jumps up and takes out his mace. You'll pay for this, scum! I'll rip your tongue out! I'll... I'll... He starts swinging, his voice slowing down. Suddenly, his eyes roll to the back of his head, and the cleric collapses on the floor. The innkeeper begins shouting: GUARDS! MURDER! GUARDS!

A pair of guards clad in chainmail run into the pub. Each has a large, yellow cloth oval attached onto his chain shirt, each with a red flame in the center. They both run over and check the cleric for signs of life.

Utrini dosn't even bother waiting, racing after the girl

"GIRL! YOU OWE ME! GET BACK HERE WILL YOU! I AM REGETTING SAVING YOUR LIFE! HOW CAN I EXPLAIN ANYTHING IF YOU RUN AWAY!"

[Babale]

You follow the red head that is occasional seen through the crowd, but due to the highly crowded path, you don't make much progress. Behind you, one of the guard cries out, Stop! Murderer! Stop him!

Hundreds of arms reach out to grab you, each civilian wanting to be the one to turn you in. A large, heavily tattooed man who reeks of fish grabs you. He manages to pull you in and gives you a huge bear hug. Ovha here, Mates! Aye gat eem! Aye gat eem!


((make a strength check if you want to overpower him, escape artist to wriggle away.))

The man tightens his grip as you struggle to no avail. Around you the crowd forms a ring, apparently hoping for a fight. Not one to miss a chance to show off, the large man lets you go and pushes you to the other side of the 20 foot ring. Then, with a yell, he charges at you.
