I'm sorry, but what was that?

If I have a miss chance against you, I would (presumably) be aware of it.
And if I was aware of that, all the previous smite attacks would be made with the Seeking Smite option from the Awesome Smite feat: they ignore miss chance. However, in that case I couldn't ignore DR at the same time (so if you have DR, it counted normally.)

Now, if I wasn't aware of that, I wouldn't use that option, and indeed the attack missed. But I can't possibly imagine how one cannot be aware of a miss chance...

I have a minor cloak of displacement, tis right there on my character sheet. I bought it to stop people getting Sneak Attack damage on e, but it works here as well.

Hmm, I checked the text of the spell, and it seems Stella (or anyone without True Seeing) wouldn't know about the effect until she missed. So you're at 241 hit points. A truly epic battle.

OK, I've factored in the (shocking) DR, and you should roll 2 (not 3) fortitude saves, just in case. There's nothing in the description of massive damage and critical hits that connects them.

    Round 8

You see Stella emerging from the ground and coming right at you.
    Spoiler
    Show
    free action: divine Might
full round action: Bounding Assault maneuver, double move - if necessary- and attack with a +2 to the attack roll, considered a charge for abilities. Therefore, I use Charging Smite with the Seeking Smite option. Power attack 14.

    Attack:+14 BAB + 13 Cha +6 Weapon +1 Weapon Focus +2 maneuver + 15 Smite -14 PA = +37
    Damage: 1d8+3 Weapon + 13 Cha + 39 Smite + 13 Divine Might + 14 PA + 13 gauntlets= 1d8+82 +13 fire

    AC: 71
    Rebuke left: 12
    Divine Shield rounds left: 6
    Law Devotion rounds left: 3
    Smite left: 4
    Deadly touch hit points left:30

Tumbling while moving (+24 for accelerated tumbling, no need to roll I believe, so no AoO please.)

If your readied action is to move away when I get near you, open this spoiler:
    Spoiler
    Show
The Bounding Assault maneuver allows me to take a double move and then attack, and the attack is considered a charge for abilities. That means that if you move away, I can keep moving (2nd move action) and even change direction before attacking. Unless you move more than 40 ft from your present position - then I can't reach you. It also allows me to tumble while moving.

    Attack: (1d20+37)[40]
Damage: (1d8+82)[86] slashing damage (14 is Power attack) + 13 fire damage

This attack ignores any miss chance, and I'm right next to you. (if you haven't moved).

PS- Yes, you could make AoO. Before.

Stella performs another playful somersault (5 ft up, 5 ft down), strikes once, and moves down to the ground (20 ft), tumbling all the time. There, she hides and moves 10 ft east.

    Whoah. That was intense...

Heliomance, I must now admit that I wouldn't have taken Law Devotion (which helped make my AC so insane) if I hadn't seen your build, picked up my jaw from the floor and thought "I really need more AC".

And may I make some suggestions? Your build is fine. OK, your AC is poor, but you have lots of hit points and other options. (If you could squeeze some regeneration or fast healing in there, it would be great). But although you had options, your tactics in this game were a bit "I hit it again". You stayed 20 ft from the ground all the time, so I could retreat there every time I was cornered.

Now, I realize that Vs Stella's AC, a full attack would seem your best bet (a much better chance to roll 20). But you also had a breath weapon, with better chances of success, which you only used once. And you are faster than me. If you had flied up up and away, I wouldn't be able to hide somewhere safe and heal myself when you nearly dropped me. Also, since I'm a paladin, my smite attacks and divine feats are limited resources. Sooner or later, I'd run out, and I'd have a much harder time hitting and dealing decent damage.

If you had readied actions of moving as far away from me as your feet/wings can carry you, and ruining my attacks as much as possible, and exhaling force damage when appropriate... I believe the game would be very different. Sundering my weapon or shield would also be a very valid option (even without a feat in your case, you'd have a pretty good chance of making it, and then I would be horribly inconvenienced.)

PS - Those were just friendly suggestions, you may very well have something better in mind.
    Until next time. ;)

I rolled 4 on the roll to recharge my breath weapon, so I wasn't actually able to use it again within the timescale of the game. And while your smite and rebuke attempts are technically limited resources, so's my rage. Yes, 52 Con means it would last for a while, but I'm pretty sure I'd have run out before you ran out of rebuke attempts.

I did consider using my Rod of Negation on some of your items, but again, and like Sundering, I'm in natural 20 only territory. Didn't seem like th best use of actions.

Not completely true, I would really suggest picking up Improved Sunder for your build, because with that you'll make at most 2 attacks before destroying things, and you'll basically take down AC by 20 or so, let alone attacking a person's sword. And if you face other opponents its even more useful there depending on what they can do.
